Small tube that helped my chair
I got this PlasticWeld after my daughter suggested it for the cracked plastic arm on my old desk chair. I mixed the putty and pressed it into the crack, then sat reading the paper while it hardened. The repair feels strong, but the color looks a bit off and slightly lumpy, so it’s not exactly pretty.

Fixed my cracked shower caddy
I grabbed this for my dorm shower caddy that split right before midterms. I kneaded the putty for a bit and pressed it into the crack, then propped it with a shampoo bottle while it set. It’s held up fine to daily showers. Only thing, it smells a little strong while mixing.

handy fix for trail gear
Weekend hikes have taught me to fix small gear problems before they turn into trailhead hassles. I bought this putty after the plastic latch on my gear tote cracked. One Saturday, at the trailhead parking lot, I kneaded a bit together and pressed it over the split before loading my boots and snacks. It shaped easily, and the latch stayed together through the hike and the ride home. That was handy. The putty felt tacky on my fingers, though, and I had to wipe them down before grabbing the steering wheel. I also wish the little amount I mixed were easier to judge for such a small crack. Still, my tote closes again.

JB has come a loooong way since the 1990's
I have to admit, I was pretty wary about trying this, which I used to patch a hole in the wall of a Litter Robot globe. I was first introduced to "JB Weld" in the 90s, and back in those days what you ended up with was a bond that looked like metal, but would easily crumble just by applying pressure with your fingers. THIS STUFF, surprisingly, dried much harder and created a very tight, high quality bond with the plastic globe of the Litter Robot. I experienced none of the difficulties with this that I experienced back with JB Weld in the 90s. It was not runny until dry, it stayed in place, dried and bonded like a boss, and it looks pretty good, considering I haven't yet sanded it. All in all, this product delivered on its promise, my LR3 globe is once again fully functional, and makes me completely satisfied. There is a bit of a smell when the product is fresh from the packaging, but nothing that I could sense once dried. As for the people who have posted saying it doesn't dry, it doesn't work, etc... I have to wonder if they followed the instructions and actually worked the product to mix it as the instructions indicate, because for me, drying was NOT an issue. In fact, I would almost have to argue that it dried a little too quickly. Also, wear gloves when using this product. If it gets on your fingers and dries, it's difficult to clean off. The instructions say to wear gloves, but I'm impatient.

really good for all kinds of repairs
you need to mix this super well or it won't cure. worked great in repairing and filling my dashboard. I sanded & used textured paint after and it's barely noticeable.

its sticky messy and hard to work with with but it works
I'm this to seal gaps on a 3D print. Material is PLA so adhesion isn't an issue and I can paint over it just fine. I haven't had to worry about chipping as I sand to down pretty good. Thats about all the good things I have to say about this product. My major gripes are it's sticky, messy, and hard to work with. You can't wear gloves when working with this because it sticks to the gloves. It's messy because it sticks to your hands (and gloves) and leaves a white residue on both your hands and the surface I'm working on which makes clean and precise application impossible. Because it's so sticky you can't get just the right amount for what you need either. It dries out fairly fast so you can't sit there and play with it because it's sticky so you have to work fast. After the product dries it dries very well. So well in fact it makes post processing 3D prints an actual headache if you used too much putty. It's almost impossible to not use too much putty because it's so sticky, dries so fast, and is in general hard to work. Have I mentioned how sticky this product is yet? Like I said it does the job but I would not recommend using this for smaller gaps or dips you need to patch. This is better saved for bigger jobs.

Worked the way i had hoped
It worked just the way I had hoped. However you probably should use like deposable rubber gloves.

Kept my cracked gear going strong
Keeping my old 3D printer alive, this J-B Weld stick actually saved a weekend client job 😅. I sliced off a piece, kneaded it like clay, then packed it into a cracked plastic belt tensioner on the printer. It cured hard enough that i ran an 8‑hour print and everything stayed perfectly aligned.

Extremely surprised
HUGELY impressed!! I nearly lost two long plastic aerofoil strips from the roof of our motorhome, a WELL KNOWN super glue was useless, THIS was a last resort, and when using it, I was convinced it wouldn't have worked come the morning, I WAS WRONG, I'm just staggered. Ok, so how long they stay there is the next question, but they seem extremely solid!
