Haven't used hem in actuality yet but they are sturdy, appear to be well-made and were easy to reprogram.

These locks have the four number combo which I like better than the typical 3 number ones to increase the amount of combination options. They work as described and so far have never come open when luggage is handled through the airport luggage system. Would buy these again especially since they are airport rating acceptable. Pretty good quality for the price.

Let's face it - luggage locks are not designed to prevent someone from stealing your luggage or its contents. Where a standard luggage lock can be helpful is in preventing an airline employee from reaching into your luggage and stealing your valuables - something that happens far more often than people realize. Any luggage lock should be effective in preventing this, as baggage handlers at most can spend a few seconds on each piece of luggage. Unfortunately, most luggage locks only have a three-digit lock, which amounts to a mere one thousand possible combinations of digits. That may sound like a lot, but hotel cleaning staff can easily go through all possible combinations in a matter of minutes. Since most people use the same combination on all their locks, that means that once they figure out your combination on one piece, they can gain access to all your items. By adding another digit to the combination on these locks, that increases the number of possible combinations by an order of magnitude. So if it takes a hotel employee ten minutes to go through 1000 combinations, it will take them at least 100 minutes to go through 10,000 combinations. That's enough to get them to move onto the next room. These luggage locks are solidly built and the combination is as easy to set as with most 3-digit locks. They're definitely worth the purchase price.

I must have bought at least half a dozen different brands and goodness knows how many TSA approved combination locks (my estimate is around 30-40?) over the last couple decades of active air travel and have never ever been impressed by or bothered enough (except for maybe Eagle Creek locks I once bought from REI) to write a review about a lock purchase! I'm definitely impressed with these 'generic' ones. The are completely made of metal and have a reassuring weight to each one. Construction looks solid and the finish is excellent with the locking mechanisms and dial rings working smoothly during the initial combination settings for all the 6 locks I bought. I was so taken by this product that I promptly bought 2 more sets as back-ups or give-aways. I've found that my stash of locks 'disappear' over time due to them getting lost during trips or when family/friends staying over for a visit ask for one. You can never have enough handy around when you need them! lol Each individual lock in the set of 2 comes in it's own plastic bag and then both are then in yet another larger plastic bag. The locks, along with the instructions, come in a box. The printed instructions sheet also mentions that company warranties the locks for 3 years against breakage. Time and usage will ultimately determine how good these locks 'wear and tear' but at about 8 bucks a lock I find it a great buy.

I have used these locks on several overseas and local trips over the years and found them to be sturdy and easy to use on most pieces of luggage. I also lock my luggage anytime I leave my hotel room and never had a problem with theft. A combination lock made with metal and with four numbers is a much safer option than plastic and only 3 numbers. Lastly, when my luggage has been opened for inspection by the TSA which happens occasionally, the padlocks are returned locked and in good order. Also love the variety of color options available.

They fit the Pelican case perfectly. I haven't been on an airplane with them yet but, they feel sturdy.

Suchte für meinen Koffer ein rotes Schloss und habe es hier gefunden. Das Schloss lässt sich leicht einstellen und ist mit dem 4er Code wirklich sicher. Es ist sehr stabil und die Farben sind genau richtig. Alles Top.
