Gets better and better.
Buy far the best game out there in my opinion. Played StarCraft 1 many years ago and loved that one. Also Blizzard just keeps putting out a better game each time around. Also its flawless in operation every time I play it. Being real time based, makes it outstanding. Take your eyes off the ball or miscalculate a move and you pretty much do yourself in. Plays much different than real time 1st person shooter games. You have to command groups and manufacture the correct proportions of raw materials to manufacture the armaments and upgrades you need for a particular situation. The Legacy of the Void pretty much forces me to learn the Protoss race and their abilities. I have been a fan of the Terrans and play them almost exclusively against the other two races and the Terrans themselves. Once I get through the mission I will spend most of my time playing against the AI (race of my choice) in different levels and the large selection of maps available, including new ones from players. Even with the missions to complete on this version I still enjoy playing AI mode. I am already trying out some of the new equipment/weapon systems being offered when in the AI mode. When I get up some courage I may actually try other real life players.

Gameplay is fine, story gets idiotic.
"Amon is gonna conquer teh galazxy, durrr I mean the universe!!!" Protip: the difference between the two is a factor of 200 billion and any entity(s) capable of conquering, creating, or anything-ing the entire observable universe would be powerful enough to swat aside every lifeform in the Koprulu sector like a gnat off the bow of the Hyperion. Oh, and there's this whole Void thing which is kinda like WarHammer 40K's Immaterium, except it doesn't really do a lot to advance the plot aside from providing spackling for a thin story and allowing the reuse of existing units from other races as malevolent minions of a character who seems to be evil simply for the sake of being evil.. The whole things seems like a sophomore writing class exercise that got out of hand. That being said, a few of Fenix/Talandar's lines caused me to literally laugh out loud, and Alarax is a entertainingly sadistic. In terms of gameplay, it's mostly excellent. Some of the campaign-only units will have me longing for them in multiplayer (Centurions, Havocs, Annihilators) and most of the levels and objectives manage to stay interesting, despite some wild variations in difficulty, even on the same setting. Blizzard really seems to have taken to this idea of "Put the player in crappily laid out base and make them defend it against waves of scripted enemies spawning ex-nihilo from offscreen", which kind of sucks if you're a Rommel-esque hit & run maneuver warfare sort of commander, although once you finally manage to assemble a genuine Death Ball of complimentary forces in the late game, their sheer earth-scorching destructive firepower will bring a tear to the eye of even the most seasoned RTS player.

A very disappointing expansion to a beloved game and warning to low end computer users
I'll preface this by saying that I solely bought this for the Multiplayer. Multiplayer is grossly imbalanced, and has been for roughly 6 months. I believe that's too long for their team to take no action, and I'm at the point that I regret buying the game. Also, I should warn all consumers attempting to meet the minimum system requirements of this game: client 3.0 is very poorly optimized and what's listed on the box most likely will not run the game in a functional manner. I saw a drop in frame rate of around 40fps after they changed to 3.0. Now my game runs at max settings at 25-30fps, when I use to get around 60fps. Some players can no longer play the game and are out their investment. Furthermore, this problem applies to WOL and HOTS owners too. Those that could barely play the former expansions can no longer play the game at all. I consider this to be an unethical business practice. Co-op was a huge disappointment. It use to be named "allied commanders," which you would expect to take control of said commanders to execute the missions. However, only Zerg have use of these hero units (Zagara and Queen of Blades). You can select Artanis, Raynor, Swann, Karax, Vorazun, etc., but you cannot play those characters at all (you just have different power ups and different units for that race available)! The Campaign was also poorly done. The writing is mostly at fault for this, if not entirely. There are plot hole all over the place, character motivations are a mess and the resolution is laughably bad. The saving grace of the campaign is the fabulous voice acting by the main cast and mostly their guest cast (John de Lancie, Michael Dorn, Claudia Christian)

War across the cosmos guilt free
I have waged war across realms, and this campaign demanded both strategy and sacrifice. Glory was earned, not given.

Blizzard has become Lazy
Sad, Sad, Sad... Blizzard has become so Lazy is extremely disappointing. Starcraft II is a great game, but this expansion was done in a rush, with not too much love put into it. if you are playing it as multiplayer you will enjoy it, not necessarily because of th expansion, just because Starcraft is a great game. But if like the Story, the Campaign you are in a ride of disappointments. The old Blizzard that use to make awesome cinematics is no more. Aside from the first one, that is great and they used to sell you the game with. The rest of the game has none. They have replaced the awesome Cinematics with terrible game renders that look awful and are terribly directed, illuminated and rendered. I've been a huge fan of Blzzard for over 20 years, and now of course I'm looking into other games. even the story of LOTV has so many issues, characters in general are worthless. The missions are bad structured. Really Blizzard has become super lazy. I guess they might be all focusing on Overwatch and just created a lazy terrible expansion for the money.

Great game with lots of replay-ability, fun online co-op missions and custom games

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Blizzard has had a lot of challenges lately reacting to the offerings of other developers, but they delivered with this installment. This game is hardware intensive due to the rendering of many units at a time, so keep that in mind when purchasing and make sure that your computer reaches the minimum recommended requirements. SC2 LOTV offers a lot of gameplay, with a deep (and challenging) story mode, as well as competitive and cooperative online play.I found myself spending hours trying to earn the mastery achievements and spending a lot of time playing co-op with my friends. Being a moderately high ranked player in the previous installments of Starcraft 2 (Diamond League), I found that the competitive online play became stale before long, and that is pretty much the only reason for this to receive less than 5 stars.
