Excellent for Older Folks who need an alternative to a shower...
I bought this portable shower for my grandmother who is in her 80s and who can no longer lift her legs high, such that she isn't able to hop into any of the 4 shower tubs in our house. She is visiting for a few months, and so we needed a solution for her to be able to shower comfortably in the privacy of an enclosed space. I looked high and low to find an alternative and was able to find this portable shower for her. The set up was pretty straight forward (assuming you follow the directions included.) We had this bad boy up and running in less than an hour. Since it tends to get windy here in Southern California, we placed this portable shower in a corner of our backyard, where three of the four main posts of the shower are tied very secure to a tall 10 foot fence we have throughout the perimeter of our backyard. Let the Santa Ana winds try to knock that down! LOL At any rate, this is our grandmother's exclusive use, and so we have everything she needs in there, shampoo, conditioner, towels, and it's big enough to where we also have a small table with a chair, so she can sit down while taking a shower, and have a place to put her dry clothes, as well as a hamper so she can place her clothes after she's done with her shower. Grandma is old school, and so we heat up a couple 5 gallon tubs we had, and put her water in there, then mix it with cold water, just enough so that the hot water doesn't burn her. So far, so good. We've had this for a couple months, and she loves it a lot. She even jokes around that when the warm weather comes around, we'll be asking her permission to shower outside in the elements LOL. One thing she really loves about this shower is that it's sturdy enough that it doesn't allow wind to pass thru it, and so she never feels any drafts when she's in there bathing herself. For about a hundred bucks, this can't be beat!

Easy Set-Up / Lots of Room
Overall this was a great product. Be sure to have that thing set up and secure. We wanted to see what the 5-gallon bag would look like and at the time we didn't have it staked down (we were just setting it up real quick in the yard to see what it would look like) and that bag set the whole thing down... FUNNY. Once up and secure, it was excellent. We are glad we went with the "Suggested Items" list and bought the 5-Gallon Shower bag separately. The one that came with this had a very very very weak shower head. But the other one was very cool. Overall, AWESOME shower, changing room, etc. We even had a porta-potty we put in there. Perfect.

Best option available
Some of the reviews for this made me cautious, but the lack of options left me little choice as to what I should buy for a camp shower. First of all, the poles are not permanently connected like a lot of tent poles are, the completely separate and must be matched using a sticker that identifies them. This works fine for now, but in a year or so when I use this again I am worried the stickers may be faded or lost. It won't make it that much more difficult to assemble the shower, but it will be a slight inconvenience. The four corners of the shower have loops to run a cord through, and tie to the ground to keep your shower from blowing away. At least I assume so. My shower came with four pieces of cord, and the needed hardware to get everything tied properly. But the top of the shower only had the needed loops sewn in at three of the corners, this is the only issue that I consider major enough to deduct a star. The shower bag is solid, at no point did I feel like the amount of water I put in it would cause the bag to split or fail. You do have to bend over a bit (unless you are very short) to use the bag when it is hanging, but virtually all camp showers are like this unless they are a foot pump model. The frame is very solid, your shower bag will not bring the whole structure down. The windows having two zippers, one for completely closed, one for a see through mesh are great, as it allows you to reach outside while you are still in the shower and use the included towel rack to grab your towel. The towel rack and the included mesh pouches for soaps, shampoo, etc are a welcome addition. I would recommend this to anyone as probably the "best option" for a camp shower at a reasonable price. There are some small issues with it that I hope Texsport fixes, but really they are minor.

The size would be great if the design and materials were better.
The whole shelter is made of cheap materials. The fabric is thin and brittle feeling, the poles are thin and poorly painted, and the plastic joints are flimsy and seem on the verge of breaking just inserting the poles into them. Setup is somewhat cumbersome, although a certain amount of that is to be expected for such a tall shelter that utilizes metal poles. The clips that are supposed to hold the poles together and into the joints are completely ineffective and pop out of place with minimal downward pressure on the shower bag hook. I set it up as per the instructions and hung a half filled 5 gallon solar shower that I already had. Even with less than three gallons of water in it the horizontal poles that form the square part of the top popped out of the plastic joints in the corners. This happened again and again regardless of anything I tried to keep it from happening. Aside from its inability to hold the weight of a solar shower the design itself left much to be desired. The bottom is not removable but completely separate so you have to either put the whole thing together and then drag it over to the floor or pull the floor underneath the shelter so it can be secured. It would have been nice if this product had worked out given the large and roomy design but I ended up having to buy a smaller one from a local store since I was headed out on a camping trip the next afternoon. It's possible that I simply received a defective shelter, but even at that the materials would have turned me off to it had I seen it set up before buying it. The one bright spot I'd like to mention is dealing with Amazon. We realized within an hour or so of receiving the package that it was not going to work for us and with Amazon's return policy we had a pre-paid return label printed within a few minutes and the package was ready for return the next day.
