YoLink Water Leak Sensor 1 Kit: 4-Pack + Hub

After a colleague had a MAJOR leak that caused a lot of damage, I decided to get water leak sensors and picked the YoLink ones after a lot of reading/research. So far (about a month), I've been very happy with them. They were easy to set up and connect, and I tested each one by setting it in water to be sure it worked. All triggered a leak alert to my phone. We bought this starter kit as well as additional sensors to cover all anticipated leak locations at home. We connected the hub via ethernet to our router for stability and so far, all has worked well and has provided peace of mind for a reasonable cost. Initially, we had some trouble with losing the Internet connection, but then I discovered that it works best when plugged in using the actual plug - not just inserting the USB end into my power strip. Using the actual plug provides more stable power and since doing that, I have not had trouble with losing the Internet connection. When our Internet goes down (e.g. a storm or a need for a reboot), the YoLink router comes back smoothly most of the time. If it doesn't, unplug the hub from the router, reboot the router, then plug the modem & router back in, plugging the hub back in last.

TLDR: If you own a home, you NEED these. Plain and simple. Buy them, set them up, forget about them, and they will save your ass WHEN something leaks. Because eventually, something WILL leak. As a first time home buyer, I got paranoid about the stuff I couldn't control. What happens when the sink, the dishwasher, the water heater, the fridge, or anything else decides to leak while I'm asleep or away from home? I did some research and found these YoLink leak detectors. They have saved my ass multiple times and have EASILY saved me 10's of thousands of dollars by telling me about a leak the second it started, instead of days later when I happened to walk by and notice it. Example: I had a sensor in the basement next to my water heater and sump pump. We got 6 inches of rain overnight and one of my sump pumps failed. At 2am this thing went off and woke me up (via 'priority notifications' on the iPhone, sends a loud alert even if your phone is on silent). I ran downstairs and found water already seeping into the basement in a couple of spots, and it was coming in FAST. I got the pump running again, rode out the storm, and replaced the pump once things calmed down. Without that sensor, I would have slept straight through it and woke up to ankle deep water and tens of thousands of dollars in remediation. Instead, I was out a new sump pump and a few hours of sleep. Setup is extremely simple. Order the hub with a few sensors, connect the hub to your wifi/ethernet, stick the sensors under anything that can leak, set up your notifications and alarms and you're done. From then on you sleep peacefully knowing that if something leaks, you WILL be notified and you can actually do something about it. No subscriptions or monthly fee BS. You buy them once and they just work. Seriously, order these things. What you spend today is nothing compared to what one missed leak costs you. I've got like 8+ leak sensors all around my home at this point.

I’ve had a great experience with the YoLink Water Leak Starter Kit so far. It provides a level of peace of mind that is well worth the investment. I have sensors placed in several high-risk areas, including near my water heater. While that hasn't leaked yet (thankfully!), I also have a sensor tucked under my refrigerator. My fridge occasionally leaks water, and this system catches it and alerts me right away. The instant notifications are fantastic because they allow me to address the issue immediately. It has already helped me prevent larger cleanups and, more importantly, potentially serious water damage. Pros: Instant Alerts: The speed of the notifications is impressive. I cannot recommend the YoLink Water Leak Starter Kit enough. After dealing with a minor basement leak last year that went unnoticed for two days, I knew I needed a reliable detection system. I did a lot of research before settling on YoLink, and honestly, this system blows the standard Wi-Fi sensors out of the water. Here is why this kit deserves a full 5 stars: LoRa Long-Range Technology is a Game Changer: This is the main selling point. Unlike standard smart home devices that struggle to stay connected in my basement or utility closet, the LoRa (Long Range) tech punches through walls and concrete with zero issues. I have one sensor in a detached garage about 100 feet from the house, and it has full signal strength. Ridiculously Easy Setup: I am not a super technical person, but I had the Hub and all 4 sensors up and running in under 15 minutes. You just scan the QR code in the app, and it connects instantly. No fiddling with complicated Wi-Fi passwords for each individual sensor. Silent but Deadly Accurate: Note that these are the "Silent" version of Sensor 1. They don't scream at you with an onboard siren, which I actually prefer because I have pets that would be terrified by a loud alarm. Instead, the Hub handles the audio (if you want it to), and the phone notifications are instantaneous. I tested one with a wet paper towel, and my phone buzzed within 2 seconds. The App is Fantastic: The YoLink app is clean, intuitive, and lets you set up all sorts of automation. You can even configure it to send emails or texts to family members if a leak is detected while you are on vacation. The Bottom Line: For the price of a single plumbing visit, you get a Hub and four reliable sensors. If you own a home, this isn't just a gadget; it is essential insurance. Do yourself a favor and buy this before you need it!

Updated another brand from a security system company to YoLink for 5 locations in our primary and a lake home. These seem to work quite well as tested each one. Feel well made. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was related to challenges setting them up at 2 locations with each being different hubs, but on 1 YoLink account. Gave up for a couple weeks, and came back to do the other home, and was able to work through the set up. No specific instructions are included, but app helps.

Fantastic! Super easy to setup, get connected and get going. Directions are spot on and the app works as it should. Tested each sensor after setup and the alerts were super quick. Works with Google Home too. Overall couldn't be happier.

I love this brand. It's inexpensive but works perfectly. The app is super simple to use and these devices are easy to deploy. Support is OUTSTANDING. I have over 25 YoLink products. I had a problem with 1 and they replaced it free of charge answering the email within a day.

We're very happy with our YoLink water leak system! For years, we've wanted an easy to set up, affordable, and reliable system for monitoring our home's water system. YoLink fit the bill on all counts. The system was set up in literally minutes and the sensors are small enough to fit in tight places. We finally have peace of mind when we leave the house that we won't be coming home to a water disaster. I'm going to give the freezer sensors a try next. Highly recommend.

Happy with the product as it has help deck about 5 leaks so far in 4 years. I keep these sensors in under sinks and in sump pump area.. batteries still show about 80% full after 4 year mark.

I have a lot of Yolink items and they work perfectly. Great to monitor water leaks for my water heater, washing machine, water pressure tank and even inside my sump pit. I installed it inside (within an abs cap) right over where the pump is located. So, if it detects water, so I have still time to fix it before any damages.
