Have always bought these bags through Amazon. Never a problem. This time, when I tried to take out a bag from the package, four had no tear lines to separate the bags. I’ve been using the remainder of the bags, and they don’t last a week without disintegrating. I live in tiny home community. Others who have them are finding the same thing. Bags with no tear lines and they are not lasting a week or two. What’s up?

So, this is the second set of bags we have bought. These bags are EXTREMELY compostable. Like, falling apart before they ever come off the roll. We live in the tropics and figured they were just too wet with the first roll so we kept the second roll in a sealed plastic bag with silica packs and they still fell apart before coming off the roll. This puts a pretty big damper on the entire system. We are actually replacing this toilet with a flush septic system because there is no good collection system besides a plastic garbage bag. We have 3 other composting toilets at the yoga retreat, all others go directly into buckets, but are outside. Im pretty bummed this small part had made this system so unuseable. They may stay intact in a different climate, this is our experience in the dry forest of Nicaragua.

Terrible! Every single bag has ripped which is exactly what you don't want when trying to empty your composting toilet.
