One of my favorite purchases of the year. Heats up and cools down fast. Makes packing in some good food to the campsite fun.

Bought 2 of these. One of the stands came broken and I'm apparently past the return window.

The ability to cook with this grill and use it as a light weight campsite table with no weight or size penalty makes this item priceless!

L'ho trovata scontata qui su Amazon e non me la sono fatta scappare. ⚫ peso Inizio dal peso perché se sei interessato a questo prodotto credo tu sia interessato prima di tutto al suo peso. Peso: 29g il sacchetto per il trasporto è 101g la griglia. Va aggiunto che la griglia è divisibile in due dimezzando di fatto il peso. L'ho fatto come spiegato più avanti. ⚫ funziona? funziona sia come griglia che come base per la padella. Anzi, mi è capitato più spesso di usarla per la seconda che per la prima delle due. La borsa per il trasporto isola efficacemente la griglia e il suo sporco dal resto dello zaino. La metto dentro pulita ma il nero che si forma a causa del fuoco è difficile da rimuovere ed è un nero che macchia. Quando torno a casa la metto in lavastoviglie. ⚫ l'ho divisa in due parti La suddivisione in due metà è "distruttiva" perché le due metà sono tenute insieme da un rivetto metallico molto rigido che è necessario rompere. La si può senpre ricostruire con un filo metallico, dolce questa volta, così da rimuoverlo all'occorrenza. Nella sua interezza, la trovo grande per una persona sola. Due salsicce aperte stanno larghe su una metà e anche quando faccio una bistecca, metà griglia è più che sufficiente perché avrei comunque diviso la bistecca in due. ..tanto il piatto non l'avrebbe contenuta (nessuno porta nello zaino piatti così grandi da mangiarci una bistecca intera 😃). - mi è capitato usandola doppia con una pentola (pesante e poco larga) posta al suo centro, che la griglietta tendesse a rinchiudersi sotto il peso....collassa al centro. Poggiateci quindi le cose con delicatezza.

I am very happy with the Grill. Seems pretty well made. My only concern is the hinge pins. Mine are not very well crimped, also concerned about the thickness of same pins, relating to durability over years of use. Everything else seems good.

Background: We will use this backpacking, only to hold an aluminum tray for cooking night 1 hot dogs and "big treat" bacon (Maple Leaf Ready Crisp) on longer (10+ day) trips. The rest of our meals are dehydrated, so we use an aluminum kettle over the stove for those, usually avoiding cooking over a campfire. For this purpose, the Vargo grill will work perfectly, since an aluminum tray spans the entire surface, avoiding the grill collapsing in the middle. A smaller pot in the middle WILL cause the grill to collapse, but I suppose if you offset the kettle/pot to one side, then crisis averted. Our grill weighs 97g, so once I replaced the 40g bag with a baggy, my total weight is 106g. Worth the weight.
