The Reflekter is intended for sitting in the kneeling position. It increases circulation in your legs while effortlessly sitting. This chair puts you in a straight line, if you will, balancing you against gravity (we call it gravity neutral, as it seems to neutralize gravity). Its round leg reflects back exactly how you are positioning yourself on the chair (thats why we call it reflekter) Posture therapy: All of our meditation benches help improve your posture while sitting or meditating. They keep you in line by the very nature of their design; as you sit they guide you. Our chairs give the feel of a lessened pull of gravity and make your body want to sit in posture friendly positions, relieving the physical pain or discomfort that can be associated with meditating. Adjustment for a perfect posture and balance is almost immediate. These gravity-neutral cushion benches relax your spine column from usual pressure. These meditation benches are perfect for meditation classes (as we sell many of these to yoga and meditation studios). Materials used: Fabric : Brocade is a class of richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, often made in colored silks and with or without gold and silver threads. It is a mainstay that has timeless appeal in home interior design and decor. Please see our other listings to get an idea about what type of fabric you would like. Wood: We use pine and douglas fir woods which are finished with a mahogany stain. Then we add the cushion made with foam and fabric of your choice using staples and decorative nails. Dimensions: Length: 18 inches Width: 8 at the ends and 11 inches at the middle, widest point. This chair is perfect for me - I'm no longer focusing on being uncomfortable or having a leg fall asleep. On top of being comfortable, it encourages proper sitting posture. Very happy with purchase! Review: Total waste. - UPDATE - Cost over $37 to ship it back by the cheapest means possible. Also to clarify: the reason it causes shoulder pain is that sitting this way you have no lap, so nowhere to rest your arms. That may not sound like a big deal, but it is when you're sitting for any length of time. I'm back to using a folded blanket. Having wasted all this money I wish I had just stayed with the blanket method in the first place. ORIGINAL REVIEW - Very uncomfortable, am returning it. The price of $90 is RIDICULOUS for what this is. Materials and labor probably cost them $15 or less to make each one, and then they jack up the price to $90(!). Caused shoulder pain for me because of the odd angle it puts you in. A regrettable purchase and now I'm stuck eating the cost of shipping for purchase plus shipping to return. Total waste.

Best meditation seat ever for the tall gentleman
I'm 6'4" and fairly stiff in the hip and legs. This chair is perfect for me - I'm no longer focusing on being uncomfortable or having a leg fall asleep. On top of being comfortable, it encourages proper sitting posture. Very happy with purchase!

It's also a little shorter than I would've liked and the stain job on the wood underneath is ...
So the white one isn't cream as it appears on the site. It's bright, shockingly bright, white with reflective silver thread all over. It's also a little shorter than I would've liked and the stain job on the wood underneath is amateurish at best. For the money I paid, I am beyond disappointed. I could've made this in arts and crafts in the 5th grade.

Nice piece but can't figure out how to sit on it while meditating?????

Cheap-looking but sturdy
The wood base is cheap wood that's painted to look like a more expensive wood, so it's got a "mahogany" stain. Pro: This makes the bench pretty light weight and portable and yet it still seems sturdy. Con: It looks cheap and the fabric on the top doesn't seem like it will hold up well from repeated sits. My friend thinks this could be a good thing because it will look shabby chic and well-worn as I settle into it, but I'd rather it wear in over lots of time, not immediately. Other than that, it's a nice sit and attractive from a distance. Not that that has anything to do with meditating, but it does sit in the corner of my living room. I have long legs, about a 36-inch inseam, so I ordered the largest bench. It's comfy. I would recommend it, but just know what you're getting.

Excellent meditation stool!
Highly recommend this product. I have problems meditating in the standard lotus position as I can't cross my legs for long amounts of time comfortably. This easily supports my 220 pounds of body weight and keeps pressure off of my calves and feet.

This is amazing. Puts you in right position as soon as you sit. This is more comfortable than ascendant.
