Little Critter's Manners (Little Critter Classics)

Little Critters are one of the safe children's books. No weird or creepy stuff in them as far as I have found. This simple two book combo book is great for little ones you are trying to introduce to the concept of manners and politeness.

I love these books! They are so cute! The kids love them! I recommend them.

We love the Little Critter series, and Little Critter’s Manners has quickly become a favorite in our house. The illustrations are full of detail, which makes it easy to spark meaningful conversations with my toddler as we read—there’s always something new for him to notice or ask about.I also love that this edition includes two books in one, which adds even more value and keeps things fresh. It’s a great way to reinforce social skills in a fun, age-appropriate way. Highly recommend for families looking to build a thoughtful, engaging library for young kids.

Little Critters are a go to for kids...always.

This book is wonderful! It’s engaging, easy for kids to understand, and filled with fun illustrations that really hold their attention. It teaches important lessons in a way that’s positive and encouraging. My child loves reading it, and I’ve already noticed them using some of the polite habits from the book. Highly recommend for any family!

We love to read Little Critters stories to our child. And she in particular loves this book. Especially, since they were learning about having good manners in her daycare. This book was perfect to read and learn about some more “good manners” :). The pictures are adorable and fun, and the story is very cute too. We’ve read this book many times already.

Classic. My mom read these Critters books to me as a kid, now I read them to my children.

Here’s my “sandwich” on this book..I thought it was nice that its a 2-in-1 when it wasn’t advertised as such. Both “Manners” & “I’m Sorry” in one. I got this book because it was highly rated and I remember reading these as a kid, but now as a parent who reads regularly to my toddlers, I don’t think it’s what I’d recommend if you’re trying to use a manners book to support your teaching of manners & apologizing appropriately.For the Manner’s part of the book, it started off well as introduces many concepts of manners that I grew up and instilling in my kids, BUT then it felt like despite his efforts to apply manners at home in SOME (not all) instances, was a miss. Like when he interrupted his mom’s call and apologized, I wish it was better acknowledged. The napkin one, I thought it was funny sibling humor. But I wish the author closed the book better - having the teacher explain that we should still apply our manners to be respectful and parents should acknowledge their efforts. But I’m raising my kids in a different generation while still applying how I was raised, yet respecting them in the process and not viewing them as my property that should obey no matter what.As for the “I’m Sorry” one, it felt the same. Yes, I understand we don’t want our kids to say sorry with no genuineness behind, but intentional & be more considerate, but simply saying “it’s not enough” & that he “guesses he has to be more careful. I think this could’ve been a teachable moment that we should only say sorry if we mean it AND to think before we act to not create this idea that saying sorry will not always work. Even for a 4-6 year old. It felt kinda sad to read but maybe this is coming from someone who spent a lot of time considering others around and apologized for simply asking a question because I hope I wasn’t a bother..I am sharing my review with photos of the book because it felt like the reviews were generic and not sharing any context of the actual book now that I look again. So now I’m in search of a better book that teaches manners with some sort of feeling like their efforts aren’t of value.

These books are always a hit. I had them for my daughter 25 years ago and now bought for grandchildren

This is my 3YO’s favourite book right now. She loves all of the Critter books, and I love them too because they were also my favourites growing up. I like that we get two stories in this book, very happy with this purchase!
