Superb Plate
These were recommended by Jared from Neeves knives. I’m around an intermediate sharpening at this point I used whetstones in the past for my kitchen cutlery. When. I started getting into folders I had to switch it up. I’ve heard Atoma are the best diamond stones on the market. So when i got more seriously into sharpening these were a no brainer. These are really great plates super lightweight as well this #600 gritty is an all around stone i love this grit, built I also got a course and a fin e grit from Atoma as well. These might be up there in price but well worth if you’re serious about sharpening.

The best diamond plated stones, period.
My new absolutely favorite sharpening stone brand. I will NEVER buy dmt again. I TRIED my best to stay loyal to dmt after being a loyal customer over 20 years but their quality control has gone to absolute junk, I kept getting mailed dented , chipped or completely missing coating and ruste large patches on their stones and I tried THREE other retailers not just amazon. Chinese brands have better coverage and grit uniformity than new era dmt, and these Japanese made atoma? Absolutely in a class of their own, they sharpen faster and smoother than any other syle shape or type of plate I've ever used, they have 5xmore diamonds per inch than the competition. I'm going on 40 and I have been hand sharpening since I was 9 years old , I've used wetstones, ceramics, diamond, spyderco rods etc etc etc ATOMA is my new standard, THE END.

perfect stone for refining your primary edge quickly.
These are perfect. Add a base for the stone to gain some clearance for your hand and you can sharpen a knife to a razor finish in very little time.

Atoma 600 Grit Diamond Plate
I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on it's performance. But the product came in the actual Atoma packaging I was expecting. I bought the 600 grit for lapping my Shapton Kuromaku water stones that I use for honing my straight razors. I just ordered another one of these in the 1200 grit specifically for lapping my12k Shapton. From my research, these are a top choice that's often recommended for lapping purposes. The replacement sheets basically cost almost the same price as the complete unit in most cases. So be sure and read the details of the item because you may inadvertently purchase a replacement sheet without the aluminum block. The Atoma diamond plates are an invaluable tool that can serve multiple purposes. I definitely recommend them.

Pricey, but one of the best you can get.
Using it as a "coarse" sharpening stone to start with it. Reprofile the blade just in a few minutes, if not in a few strokes. It's really aggressive diamond plate and you have to be careful and to not ruin entire geometry of the blade. But with a little practice I've got pretty sharp blade on my old "dead" french knife even before step up to more classic and more high grit japanese wetstones. That what is thing disigned to do, to be a flat to the last, to be a fast and precise. Still not tryied yet to get razor-sharp edge just from this "stone" alone, but it's seems possible too.

Reliable and solid product
Top quality and simple to use. The weight of the base makes sharpening much easier. I recommend this one to round out your diamond pad inventory.

Great for flattening high grit stones
I use this to flatten all of my shapton stones 5000+ puts a great finish on 5k, 8k, 12k, much better, faster, and closer to flat than silicone carbide stone fixers.
