The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids

Cute book. What kid doesn't like joke books? As a former teacher for 4th and 2nd graders, I feel this book would be good for classroom use or as a gift for your kids/grandkids. Very good quality.

My daughter doesnt like to read, so I got her this and it is a great motivation!!!! She read the whole day jokes to me out loud🥰 good jokes too!

Very cute jokes ages 6-8. We really enjoyed on a road trip. Kept everyone busy.

We got off to a bad start. The joke book arrived as is. I prefer shrink-wrapped, for a variety of reasons, for instance, it reinforces that the book was not regifted. However, one (1) of my other biggest concerns is by not sealing this, it risks getting soiled or whatever. Here, there was a whatever, on the inside cover was a smashed bug, which I saw immediately upon receipt and opening. Not happy. Where printed? China, at the “Wing, King, Tong” Paper Products Co., and that is no joke. I was excited to select The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids, and for the most part, am pleased. But I also lost interest in reading this from cover to cover too. From what I read, the author played it safe here, which I prefer, as I would have tossed this if there were offensive jokes. However, on many jokes, I just mildly chuckled and was hard pressed to find what I would consider original jokes that caused laughs that made my sides hurt. I can acknowledge that I received fair value for this, however, what kept my feeling that way was the amazing discount received off of its original retail price. [I would never have ventured to purchase this at its full retail price.] Best things about this? The discounted price from original retail price; that it is family-friendly; age-appropriate; hundreds and hundreds of jokes; tongue twisters and riddles included; trivia sections; encourages reading; structured; gradual increase in difficulty; feels substantial, but not overweight; durable covers; encourages the reader to read to others. The things I don’t care for? Many jokes seem recycled or close to others, with just some changes; no table of contents; no index; the trivia seems shallow; too many puns, which an older reader can grasp, but a younger likely will not; not that many jokes promote critical thinking, such as deeper thought or stimulating creativity, which is so important in the target reader’s age group. Is this perfect? No. Rating? This is a best seller for good reasons, as I tried to note above, however, for me, the biggest attraction was price first. Content was okay, and okay is not five (5) stars. I think this four (4) stars at best. I hope my thoughts added a bit of information.

Very cute gift for a friends little ones. They're 4 & 6 so the jokes don't quite hit yet but it's cute they read them to each other. And we get a kick out of hearing then reading them.

My kindergartner loves reading this! He cracks up at stumping me (even when I answer something similar) if I don't get the answer just right! I love that he's five and reads as if he's in the second or third grade! The jokes are funny and we enjoy them together.

Perfect for all kids from 8 - 80! Full of riddles, knock knocks, tongue twisters for the young to the young at heart to try for the first time or to recall from our younger days.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my nephew last year. He really enjoyed reading some of the jokes out of there and even shared a few with me over the phone! So funny and age appropriate as well.
