A nice sized fan, appears to be good quality though plastic in the main. Three speeds, oscillation feature and three timer settings - what more do you need? Timer feature is great for night time use to help you get off to sleep with a cool breeze in the bedroom without having it on all night. It certainly seems to move a lot of air even on the lowest setting. Noise wise, I use it on Low at night for sleeping (with the timer) and it's really quiet, doesn't disturb sleep at all. Moving it to the living room and using the medium setting, whilst producing more noise, it's certainly not enough to be that mindful of and doesn't intrude or impact on watching Tv, reading etc. Not tried it on High setting as found that the two lower have been adequate for my requirements. It's a bit pricey, others are available at a lower price, but I do feel it represents good value for money and does the job well.

It's quiet, doesn't take up a lot of space, and it shoots out a surprisingly good amount of cold air. It has 3 power settings, a swivel mode, and a timer that turns it off after 2, 4, or 8 hours. Feels like it's made well and is decent quality as well. My only gripe is that at night the LED lights on the front light up my ceiling at night, but if you have something to put over just the lights, it's not a problem.

Wouldn't it be nice if all product descriptions were complete, honest and accurate? This fan: not bad. Plus points: energy consumption does seem to be lower than other fans (16w stated - my rubbish smart meter thinks this may be roughly accurate); low power is fairly quiet (but it is a fan, so not silent, right?); powerful enough for one person (ie won't chill a room); oscillation mechanism is quiet and functional (on mine, anyway - some other reviews are not impressed); build quality not too bad; look and carry-ability good. Minus points: doesn't tilt, so needs to be positioned at the same height you might want air to me moved at (if it tilted, even just a bit, and even with a wider footprint to stop it falling over, it would be a great fan!); goes to full power when you turn it on (eg if using a voice activation switch); mid and high power the same amount of noise as most other fans (but at a slightly higher pitch, given the small fan size) Summary: as in the title, I'm buying another one. Cheap to run, easy to store, and does the job.

I bought this to replace a broken tower cold fan in my small bedroom, creating more space. There is no tilt facility, but sited on the bedside table the results are near perfect (one can always want more power on a very hot day!). It is very sleek and attractive in design with the unusual feature of a double fan. At Low it produces a whisper quiet cooling breeze that is very relaxing. At Medium it gets noticeably louder and colder. When on High there is strong airflow and is much colder. I would expect it to do its job on the hottest day, so long as it is in reasonably close proximity to the user. It has tiny blue lights over the temperature guage and time setting, informing the user of the state of play. I don't think it is powerful enough for the living room. However, placed on the coffee table, with the effective oscillation facility and set to High, I would expect overheated guests on a hot summers day to obtain huge relief! The lead is longer than some, but will never be long enough for some people. A small extension lead is the answer if necessary. I liked this fan so much I immediately ordered another from Amazon as back up.

First and foremost, the air blowing from this desk fan is pretty good. For me, this style is much better than traditional tower fans. Unfortunately there are a few problems that affect its rating. Firstly, I think it could be 4 inches taller. The air flow misses my face so I have to prop it up a few inches to feel the best breeze. A third fan at the top would really add a lot. Secondly, as others have mentioned, its default setting is full power so the first time you switch the plug on, the fan starts straight away. If there were to be a power cut while I'm not around, when the power returns, the fan will start up. Not ideal it blowing about if I'm out the house. Finally, how hard is it to get oscillation right? This has intermittent problems turning. A few spins and no problem, then it will catch on one side and make a big clunking sound before turning again. This is every few spins. On a couple of occasions it has even caught and stopped turning altogether and I had to give it a nudge to correct it. Overall, a decent fan but should be better and some annoying faults that may become bigger issues over time. The noise from the fan is apparent. It's reasonable, not too overpowering.

Seems fine

This fan would be a fantastic little fan to put a breeze over a workstation or a desk. It's very well-made and quiet but it has limitations. Don't expect it to cool a room. It's not that big and it's not that powerful.
