Titles in this I, ROBOT THE ROBOTS OF DAWN THE NAKED SUN THE REST OF THE ROBOTS THE CAVES OF STEEL ROBOTS AND EMPIRE Review: Great books - Perfect gift for my son He likes this author very much Good price and fast shipping Great to get paper back too Review: The Enduring Influence: Isaac Asimov's Robot Series and its Impact on Science Fiction Literature - Isaac Asimov's Robot series is a groundbreaking collection of science fiction novels that has not only captivated readers with its gripping stories but also left an indelible mark on the genre itself. With its profound exploration of artificial intelligence, ethical dilemmas, and human-robot interactions, the series has influenced countless authors and spawned a wave of literature that continues to explore these themes. The series begins with "I, Robot," a collection of interconnected short stories that introduce Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics, which have become iconic in the realm of science fiction. These laws, which govern the behavior of robots, have inspired countless authors to delve into the complexities of AI ethics and the potential consequences of creating intelligent machines. Asimov's concept of robots as tools designed to assist humanity while also posing existential questions about their nature and purpose has become a staple in the genre. The subsequent novels in the series, including "The Caves of Steel" and "The Naked Sun," further develop the world of robots and humans coexisting in a future society. Asimov's meticulous world-building and intricate plots have served as a template for generations of science fiction writers, influencing the likes of Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke, and many others. His vision of a future where robots are integral to human civilization has become a touchstone for exploring the boundaries of technology and its impact on society. Moreover, Asimov's Robot series has paved the way for the subgenre of "robot detective" stories, blending elements of science fiction and mystery. The fusion of crime-solving and futuristic technology, seen prominently in novels like "The Caves of Steel," has inspired authors like William Gibson and Richard Morgan, who have crafted their own cyberpunk detective tales. In conclusion, Isaac Asimov's Robot series stands as a seminal work of science fiction, leaving an enduring legacy on the genre and influencing countless authors. Its exploration of AI ethics, human-robot relationships, and the impact of technology has sparked a wave of literature that continues to challenge and captivate readers. Asimov's vision remains as relevant today as it was when the series was first published, cementing his place as one of the genre's most influential and visionary writers.

Love them
I love the author and the series. Everything he's written ties together perfectly. The books themselves are made of decent quality materials. I haven't had any issues of them falling or coming apart. Bindings are good. Printed on good quality paper. Covers are keeping their color as well. Great quality for the price. Id recommend them.

Father of Sci-Fi
Love these early sci-fi books. Easy to read and knowing that Asimov is the source of terms like โrobotโ and โGalactic Empireโ make them interesting.

should be listed as mass market paperback, not a complete series
A good amount of Asimov's work for the price, but these are made of identical (or possibly worse) material than the mass market paperback set I have of the Foundation series. Same author, similar time frame (ordered ~6 months ago). Disappointing, considering it is listed as paperback, not mass market paperback, which usually indicates smaller books and cheaper material. Hopefully these match with the other paperback books from this series I ordered... which brings me to my next criticism, why include "the rest of the robots"? From the robot series wiki: "In 1964, The Rest of the Robots was published, all of the short stories in that collection are found in The Complete Robot, and the novels The Caves of Steel and The Naked Sun were published separately" With "caves of steel" and "naked sun" already included in this set, it would have made more sense to swap out "rest of the robots" and include "the complete robot". That likely would have made the set cheaper, or gave room to add in something like "bicentennial man" or "the positronic man" which is missing from this set. Lastly, one book arrived with a pretty bad ding to the corner. I can't really fault shipping there, I really think it is the quality of the materials. The set was wrapped in a thin protective foam, then bubble wrap, put inside a box, and then that box inside another box. I don't know how much more you could protect them, at the end of the day, cheap material is going to wear faster. Ultimately, I would have appreciated whoever put this set together spending the 2 minutes on wikipedia that any potential prospective buyer is going to when researching these type of sets, and investing a bit more into a sturdier cover, even if that meant $5 or so added to the price. The low grade card stock is not going to stand up to much use.

Best bet.
If you want these books (if you're a hard sci-fi fan, you should), then this set is the best way to get them. The paperbacks are well crafted and just the right size.

Classic books that should be read by all.
Classic books that should be read by all. They should be on the bookshelf, within easy reach for almost instant consultation and re-reading! Great reads all of them. Read them and just look around. Marvel at Isaac Asimovโs predictive ability! Pick lower jaw up from the floor. RVDB

Read all of these decades ago and decided to have another look. Really enjoying the series and you've just got to wonder at his amazing imagination.

Great Buy. Loved it.
Received the product in excellent and safe package. I was afraid of how the books would be delivered but the seller took great care in delivering the books. The books themselves are good paperbacks with the covers being vibrant and great to look at. I can only imagine, had they been hardcover in this design, they would just look marvelous. The font is good and easy on the eyes and the print is good to read. I loved this combined purchase at this price.

great stories, obsolete language impossible to enjoy
the idea behind the stories absolutely brilliant, however the language the author used is totally obsolete (was probably already obsolete in 50s), which makes reading a sweat inducing chore. I somehow endured 3 mind nubing books, got stuck halfway the fourth and just couldnt force myself to continue. hartbroken as i love reading but it was harder than trying to go through stephanie mayer
