Very gentle and cost effective, not just a bandaid solution
TL/DR Good product. Must be taken consistently at the same time each day with at least 8 ounces of water. This works really well. It’s very gentle. Two important things I learned about taking it are that you need to take it with a lot of water every time and that it’s very important to take it at the same time every day or night. I take mine at the same time every night and I try to drink at least 24 ounces of room temperature water. I used to suffer from pretty bad constipation and this has helped a lot. No need to get the brand name stuff. This is perfectly fine. For me this was way better than Milk of Magnesia which had awful side effects. This Quality Choice Fiber Therapy is methylcellulose (the well known brand name for this is Citrucel). Methylcellulose does not ferment whereas psyllium (known commonly as brand name Metamucil) can cause some gas and bloating due to fermentation. The fermentation can actually help the microbiome but for me it causes too much gas and bloating which can be avoided by taking methylcellulose instead. I highly recommend Quality Choice Fiber Therapy.

Works Good
I have been buying this brand for a few years, and it helps with keeping my fiber intake levels up for good digestion. GI doctor recommended taking Citrucel, which is a little pricier so I switched to this. Works the same

Great generic Citrucel!
I gave these to my son. They are the same as Citrucel. I’m sure they work equally as well. I usually buy generic brands. They are great and a great price.

Recommended
This was recommended by my Gastro Dr. It seems to help with my regularity. I take 8 caps a day so I order a lot. No side effects.

I keep this fiber therapy on autobuy.
Recommended by my doctor to counteract my meds and stay regular without bloating or other GI discomforts. It's working for me, and it's cheaper than the name brand.

Bottle label did not list Yellow Dye 6, Polysorbate 80.
The bottle label only states the active ingredient: methyl cellulose. However, the Quality Choice website lists the filler ingredients, which include yellow dye #6 and polysorbate 80, among others. Polysorbate 80 has been linked to cognitive decline and blood-brain disruption in studies in mice. Yellow Dye #6 (sunset yellow) amps up histamine and leukotrienes—the same chemicals behind hives and asthma. Adipic acid is primarily used to manufacture nylon 6,6, polyurethane foams, and plasticizers, making it essential for textiles, automotive parts, and coatings. In foods, it serves as an acidulant, flavorant, and gelling aid in products like gelatin, powders, and jams. It also acts as a pH stabilizer in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and cleaning agents (considered safe at low levels in foods). I understand that polysorbate 80 is used w/ methylcellulose to promote solubility, but it infuriates me that companies have to keep adding toxic dyes--which are totally unnecessary--to ingestible products. I will see which fiber product Quality Choice has the fewest toxins and try that ... Meanwhile, I already opened this bottle (whose label only listed methylcellulose), so if I don't tolerate the yellow dye (yrs ago, I got nausea, hunger pangs from TUMS yellow tablets) I'm hoping I can get a refund. Companies have to start making things as pure and non-toxic as possible. Yet it seems nearly any medical remedy has both pros and cons.
