Miracle for Me
This is saving my life. After 20 days, I have slowly raised the daily dose to 120,000 SPUs. That's as high as I'll go. So far it has begun to cure senior moments, sharp pains in my temples, and pain from osteoarthritis. I can now stand for longer without pain, and I can bend enough so that I can watch the stars while standing up. Symptoms of dementia and Parkinson's and Alzheimer's are all getting less and less frequent. Even my vertigo upon moving from my left side to my right side in bed is going away. Floaters in my right eye are a tiny bit better but I'll have to continue therapy for 6 months to really see if it eats up floaters. I have experienced NO side effect at all but I should mention that I take NO drugs, medications, ibuprofen, antacids, at all -- zero. I drink ONLY filtered water. I eat no gluten. I eat no meat. I eat no cheese. My digestive system is clear and clean. If yours is not, you might want to make it so before starting on these. This stuff has been WONDERFUL for my skin too. I used to have a bunch of pin-prick sores on my arms but no more and my skin feels like silk now. My face is clearing up. I can breathe through my nose for the first time in my memory. My sinuses are healthy, and I can better tolerate allergens like wood smoke and pollen. When I sneeze now, it feels good instead of painful. I no longer do mouth breathing so I wake up without dry mouth. I can see better now that the film that would form in my eyes overnight is lessened. The confusion I would sometimes experience that made me think I might be getting Alzheimer's is gone. And the mild symptoms that made me think I was getting Parkinson's have lessened. My little finger on my right hand that has osteoarthritis no longer hurts when I bend it back to stretch it. I can stand up straight again which means that I can stand and walk for longer distances before I have to sit down in my wheetchair. I fully believe that in 6 months time, I'll no longer need a wheelchair. I started with one 40,000 SPU pill on an empty stomach each day. I did that for about a week and then moved up to 2 pills at the same time every day for about a week. Then I moved to one 120,000 SPU pill a day and that will be my dose for 6 months. Then I'll move back down to one 40,000 SPU pill per day for maintenance. I have had ZERO side effects so far and tiny little improvements that are growing day by day. I fully believe that it is helping me cure every single beginning disorder that has to do with plaques: Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, heart disease, mini strokes, osteoarthritis, joint issues, vertigo, arteriosclerosis, breast cysts, and breathing issues. This is a miracle for me. I wish it would work this well for everyone. Please note that I do not smoke. I do not drink alcohol. I do not take ANY drugs or medications or prescription meds of any kind. I do not do recreational drugs. I do not eat meat or cheese or milk. I drink ONLY filtered water that is free of heavy metals. I do not take multi-vitamins. I take only a few supplements and I take them with my major meal at the end of the day while I take my pill on an empty stomach in the morning. I eat only potatoes, peas, powdered butter, apples, and other fruits and veggies some time. I also eat a lot of milk chocolate almond bars (my one vice). I do not eat any gluten. Most of the fruits and veggies I eat are organic and those that are not organic are GMO free. I drink about a gallon of filtered water every day. I sleep better now for fewer hours and get up fewer times during the night to pee since I've been taking the serrapeptase. I have great dreams. I am almost 70 years old and now that I've found serrapeptase, I can see myself living well past 100 years old. I wish others could take this supplement. Maybe they get the bad side effects because of other lifestyle choices that do not match my lifestyle choices? I don't know. I only know that this stuff is saving my life and saving my independence. I feel YOUNG again. I still have quite a ways to go before I can give up my wheelchair, but I fully believe I will get there before Winter starts in Nov 2017. I'll update this review then to tell you how I've done and whether I am out of my wheelchair for good. I have family members who died from Alzheimer's or Parkinson's or artery blockages (heart attacks or strokes), or respiratory issues. Now I have a way to make sure that I never get those issues and it costs just 13 cents a day.

I'm A Believer.....But I Have Unanswered Questions
I believe in homeopathic medicine along with conventional care but didn't think anything like this could touch the pain I was experiencing. I have SERIOUS back and neck pain from years of arthritis (RA and osteo) and degenerative disc disease. I can actually feel that "thick" feeling from inflammation along my entire spinal column as nerves get pinched and severe pain sets in. Anything can aggravate the inflammation from a change in barometric pressure to riding in the car and hitting a bump in the road the wrong way. I was beginning to think I was really going to have ask for narcotic pain killers which I've been dead set against for many reasons but sometimes the pain was becoming too much to tolerate. As soon as the bottle of this stuff arrived I took one because I was having a really bad day. Within an hour I suddenly realized my pain was decreasing. There was no way it could be from taking one Serrapeptase. Within 4 hours or so the pain got worse so I took another one and within a short time I started feeling less pain again. I can't believe it. This stuff really works for me. I'm not totally pain free. That would be too much to expect after all these years and so much damage BUT I do feel a significant difference. This pain I can live with and function with. I try to take Serrapeptase an hour before eating 2 or 3 times a day. Last night I slept well for the first time in almost a year. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night with pain and tingling in my arms and hands. I didn't have to try to sleep sitting up so nerves didn't get pinched. I slept like a normal person. I also have been dealing with neuropathy in both feet and legs up to my knees. Tonight, for the first time in months, I sat in my chair and watched TV for several hours without going nuts. This is starting to sound like an advertisement but darn....this stuff REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!! It's been less than a week since I started this. I guess it's like taking a pain medication. It works quickly. I don't know everything about this supplement so I can't say one way or the other. I just know what's going on with me. If anything changes...if it stops working...if I start having any side effects or problems, I'll come back and update this review. I'm so happy I found out about this stuff. My husband is starting to take it too so we'll see how he does on it. I just signed up for Subscribe and Save for the 250 size bottle. I get a 15% savings because I get more than 5 Subscribe and Save items a month. That's a big savings....$5 a bottle off. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the results from the product but I guess I have to say I'm a believer...still a little skeptical that I'll continue to have such profound results without any problems but I'm sure going to keep taking it until there's a reason not to. This is just too good to be true and I'm so grateful. August 30th: My husband says he's having less back pain since starting Serrapeptase. He said he's also found information about it being helpful in keeping your arteries clear. Don't take that as a get out of jail card and permission to abuse your diet but it might be part of a heart healthy regime. My only problem with this supplement is none of my doctors seem to know what it is and look at me crossed eyed when I mention it. There's not a huge amount of information on the web from reliable sources so I feel like I'm flying a little solo when it comes to issues such as how to take it with other supplements and medications. I even called Doctor's Best and they basically told me they didn't have any information and I'm on my own. Really.....that from the supplier????

Saved us $700 from not needing surgery!
My husband has been having sinus/throat problems since last summer. Around Halloween is when his throat really started bothering him and we realized over the next several weeks that it was his tonsils that were bothering him! My aunt bought serrapeptase (not sure which brand) several years ago for my cousin's asthma (which he no longer has) and, on a hunch, recommended serrapeptase for my husband's tonsils. I was very skeptical but he was suffering terribly and we needed to do SOMETHING because the process for getting tonsils removed is very elaborate. Apparently too many people have bled to death in the past when the process was quicker. We didn't have time to collect records and keep going back for checkups so I found this on Amazon and IT WORKED! NOTE: It did what it was supposed to but it was working too well so he had to stop taking it once his tonsils got better. He had yellow colored mucus pouring out so that meant that he either had another sinus infection or it was the same one since October. The serrapeptase must have knocked it all loose. Sinus infections sometimes are not a dead give away. I've woken up with a horribly sore throat and nothing else except a slight sinus headache (not even that sometimes) and it turned out that it was a sinus infection. He is 29 and has been able to fight off sinus infections in the past without antibiotics but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. The serrapeptase was delivered on Feb. 18th & he used it for a few weeks. He went to the doctor March 9th for his sinus infection. After taking all of his antibiotics, he still isn't completely better. We are in Houston and allergies seem to be hitting everyone pretty hard right now. We think that's likely the issue but we also think he is developing asthma! Since it worked for my cousin's asthma, he started taking serrapeptase again 2 days ago. Today he told me that he wasn't wheezing quite as much last night and his throat feels slightly more open, so I'm hoping that he'll continue to get better. I would also like to note that serrapeptase seems to be some sort of miracle drug used for all sorts of things that are not advertised on this page. The reviews below claim that it has helped with knee pain, mini strokes, blocked fallopian tubes, digestion problems, scar tissue, horrible pelvic pain, increased blood circulation, carb cravings, and eye floaters. Apparently it's been used in Europe & Asia for years with little or no side effects.

Attention Keloid and Hypertrophic Scar Victims: There May Be Hope.
I've been waiting to leave a review regarding this product, but I decided to go ahead and give my thoughts about it thus far. I am prone to both keloid and hypertrophic scarring. Basically, my body doesn't know when to stop healing its wounds, and keeps compounding gross, ugly, red/purple scar tissue onto my skin. A couple years ago I had a stomach surgery, and two of my scars healed hypertrophicly. They've always bothered me. When I heard serrapeptase ate scar tissue, I decided to give it a try. In addition to the scars on my stomach, I have two small ones on my legs, and two very old keloids (around 15 years old) on my shoulder. My shoulder keloids are the most obvious. I don't wear belly shirts, so no one ever sees my abdominal scars, but I do wear sleeveless shirts, so my shoulder scars are pretty hard to miss. I've had them for so long that I'm used to them at this point, and I never really pay much attention to them. But about a week after taking the serrapeptase, I was hanging out with one of my friends, when he said "your shoulder scars look better." Shocked, I said really? He said "Yeah, they're flatter and not as red as they used to be." I hadn't told anyone that I was taking serrapeptase or trying to heal my scars. Additionally, when I got home after being away for 8 months (I had been taking serrapeptase for about a month at this point), my mom, dad, and granny all separately commented on how much better my shoulder scars looked and asked what I was doing for them. And I must say, they do look flatter and are starting to blend into my shoulder more. My stomach scars are also showing marginal improvement. While still discolored, they seem to be flattening and softening. And two small, hypertrophic scars on my legs also appear to be improving. They're shrinking a bit, and are a little flatter. I've been taking one pill a day for close to two months now. Miracles? Absolutely not. But there ARE NO miracles for these types of scars. Anyone who suffers from this type of scarring knows what I mean. Once you get them, you're out of luck. But this enzyme is giving me hope. Before, I thought the best I could do was try to prevent new scars from developing, but thanks to serrapeptase, I'm starting to think that maybe my old scars can be improved. If you suffer from keloid or hypertrophic scarring, I strongly recommend you invest in these. Don't expect an overnight cure, but I can attest to slow and steady improvement. *Note* I also want to mention that in addition to taking serrapeptase for my scars, I am also taking a garlic supplement, a bromelain supplement, and a turmeric supplement. I am working toward eliminating simple carbs and sugars from my diet (as they trigger inflammation), and I am trying to eat a predominantly plant based diet. I have done an immense amount of research into the mechanisms that cause our bodies to keloid. The key thing I've found is that these scars form due to an increased amount of inflammation. There is a nuclear protein that triggers the formation of the scars, and this protein is released when we have inflammation. Additionally, research has found that keloid tissue seems to have chronic inflammation. Garlic, bromelain, and turmeric have all been shown in scientific studies to reduce inflammation and repress the NF-KB protein that causes scar (and tumor) formation. I had been taking these other supplements before starting the serrapeptase, and I had not seen a noticeable difference in my already existing scars. I didn't get noteworthy scar improvement until I started the serrapeptase. HOWEVER, I wanted to provide this additional information, because I know how frustrating and hopeless you can feel when you have keloids. I know how scary it is when you have to go in for surgery or you get an injury and you know that it could morph into a grotesque, ever-worsening, never-improving scar. That is why I have spent hours upon hours reading scientific research studies that try to determine the mechanisms that causes this. I would recommend the additional supplements and dietary changes as well, as a preventative measure against future scars if nothing else. I wanted to add this in here as full disclosure. It *seems* that my scars are improving due to the serrapeptase, but the additional measures that I am taking may also be playing a role in their improvement.

improved kidney function and bone metabolism
At first the sun, the trees, and vegetables, and now serrapeptase are keeping my kidneys functioning. All these are highly alkaline. CKD causes acid build up including phosphorus, protein, and vegetable acids such as oxalic acid. The sun, and trees, and serrapeptase help the kidneys remove the acid build up from the body. I maintain high vitamin d level, but not through d3, but through sun exposure and lard which contains mostly 25(oh)d which is more potent, rather than d3. When I take d3 or d2 I feel like I am punching my kidneys. So far lard is the best vitamin d food source because it contains insignificant amounts of retinol, which actually depletes vitamin d and vice versa. Because of the ckd, my teeth started to experience sensitivity to everything. I originally wanted to test if it would remove plaque from teeth, and to my surprise it removed teeth sensitivity first. To test the enzime at 2 capsules per day, I stopped brushing my teeth altogether. I definitely noticed a difference which felt upleasant but I knew it was the breaking up of plaque formation. After maybe a week or so I upped the dose to 3 or more capsules per day and voila my teeth surface started to feel smoother and smoother without brushing teeth for the length of the test. Most fruit and vegetable alkalinity are highly dependent on vitamin d. But serrapeptase is not which is a huge plus during winter time. Because of my high vitamin d levels on top of high alkaline diet, I am normally only able to take 2 capsules per day. For most people this easily resolved by eating more protein. In my opinion vitamin d and serrapeptase are fundamental needs that children and adult alike aught to take care of. Even more impact full than omega 3. I was never impressed with omegas, not that they are not impressive. But vitamin d from sun exposure and serrapeptase are down right miraculous. I give it to my 4 and a half year old, about 1/2 to 1 capsule 2x per day. And my husband takes 2 capsules per day.

I works but gave me heart palpitations/ flutter - see update at bottom of review for clarification
I have used this twice over the last 3 years. Both times it gave me an issue with my heart. The first time I did not connect the dots and continued to take it for about a week. But I developed a flutter in my heart that would wake me up at night for almost a year. It was usually relieved by sitting up for a few minutes. I mistakenly assumed that this flutter was just something new related to the first problem I was initially trying to address. I was taking the version offered by this same brand that is combined with natto. I took those for about a week. It did seem to relieve the problem I was having (which felt like some type of blockage but unconfirmed) so I was just happy that at least this was resolved. Recently I decided I would like to take these again, however, the combo was not available when I ordered, so I ordered them separately in the same dosages as before. This Serrapeptase arrived first. I took one and was awoken about 2am that night with the same heart flutter as before that was again resolved by sitting up. I realized immediately that this was what had caused it the first time. I had not experienced one of those flutter episodes in over a year. Thankfully, this time I did not continue beyond the first pill. I had the flutter issue for approximately 3 nights, lessening in severity each night. Thank you God that all returned back to normal!! I have seen many people report similar experiences so I wanted to make sure to add this warning. If you do decide to try this, for goodness sakes,DO NOT take a giant dose until you see how you respond. I usually dump out half of everything the first few times I try something new just in case I have some reaction to it. For whatever reason, I failed to use that precaution here. If you develop any sort of heart disturbance, I would strongly suspect these as the culprit. Thankfully I was able to recover both times. Edit. A couple of days after writing this I had a couple of more of these, so unfortunately not completely gone. However, obviously not as bad as the first few days. Also, however, I realized another factor that could be relevant, I realized that I have shingles symptoms going on. I also had these around the same time period before. Just in an effort of full disclosure, as we do not have answers for all of these things yet and shingles could just as easily be the culprit. However, as of now, would NEVER take another of those pills. The timing was too uncanny to ever risk that again for me. In fairness to seller, I have modified my review to a more neutral 3 stars just in case I have misjudged this but will leave the review as a precaution in case there is any trend developing.

First 5 weeks have been fantastic!!!
This review is about Serrapeptase AND Nattokinase since I started taking them both at the same time. Also, I'm not Ann, I'm her husband Kent. Ann passed away well over a year ago from cancer and the account was in her name so I decided to keep it that way. My back ground is that I had a mini stroke in April of 2011, about 2 & 1/2 years ago. At the time of the stroke I underwent tests and they found that I had a 90% blockage in my left carotid artery and a 20% blockage in my right. I underwent an operation to clean the plaque out of the left side, however the Dr. didn't touch the right side because of the small blockage. Ever since the stroke I've been walking around like I've been off kilter, almost dizzy all of the time, probably like vertigo. I was fine while sitting, however when I'd walk it was terrible. I refused to use a walker. Pride I guess. The day I came home from the hospital I used it to get into the house but as soon as I got in I folded it up and put it in the closet. I figured if I kept using it I'd use it forever. I go to the Dr. every 3 months for a check up and blood work. The last time, about 1 & 1/2 months ago she didn't like what she was hearing on my right side so she sent me for a sonogram on my carotid arteries. I went back to the testing place a few days later to pick up a copy of my report to see what it said and I sat there in total shock after I read it. My left side, where I had the operation was completely clear...GREAT! The right side that had the 20% blockage 2 &1/2 years ago...TOTAL OCCLUSION!!! Which means completely blocked. Even though my blood work has been great for the past 2 & 1/2 years, cholesterol and triglycerides have been great plus I eat healthy most of the time I was still blocked 100%. Go figure! For the next 2 days I sat in front of my computer researching what could be done if anything. I found that an operation is usually NOT done on someone with a 100% blockage. UCLA is just starting to do an experimental procedure but NO thanks! Also, there don't seem to be any offerings from the drug companies for anything related to this. Everything I read kept mentioning Serrapeptase and Nattokinase. I must have read at least 400 different testimonials on different sites across the web about how these relieve pain and seem to do other wonders PLUS they clean out arteries. Of course the testimonials I was most interested in were the ones where people had blockages in their arteries and the blockages had been greatly reduced by using this combination of Serra & Natto. I started taking the Serra & Natto about 5 weeks ago. I use Dr's Best for both. I take 6 - 40,000 SPU caps of Serra twice a day on an empty stomach along with 2 - 2000 FU caps of Natto twice a day. Here's what's happened so far: I noticed the arthritis pain in my knees and hips completely gone by the 2nd day. I can walk on the treadmill again for about 1/2 hour. YAY!!! Now this is the best part...for the last 3 days my dizziness has been gone. I can walk a straight line again! WOOO HOOO!!! Honestly, if the police had pulled me over and given me a sobriety test to where I had to walk a straight line...HA! They would have locked me up and thrown away the key figuring I was drunk as a skunk! And I DON'T drink! In 6 months or so I'm going to try and talk my Dr. into sending me back for another sonogram on those carotid arteries. Since I have a 100% blockage I'm not sure if the Serra and Natto will work. I never did read a testimonial from anyone that had a 100% blockage. I can only hope and pray. :-)

Serrapeptase made me terribly sick
This will be a long review, but I will explain from the very beginning why I began to take Serrapeptase, what happened while I was taking it, and the situation I am in now as a result of having taken it. This review is a warning to those who are taking this supplement, as well as a more general warning about supplements in general. Before about two years ago, I had never suffered from any headaches whatsoever. So when I began to have my first headache, which was probably just a migraine, I overreacted. I thought that there was something seriously wrong with me, and without consulting a doctor, I began to search for a solution. Somehow or another, I stumbled upon Serrapeptase. I picked it up at a local Mothers' Market and began to take it. The first time I took it, I experienced a headache so terrible that it almost made me panic. In retrospect, I should have listened to my body's response and immediately stopped taking Serrapeptase. But I didn't. I continued to take it and rationalized to myself that it was just an initial reaction and the benefits would come as I started taking it more regularly. Save for the massive headache I got when I took it for the first time, I didn't really notice any effects for the next few months other than a tingling in my palms and fingers. I had been taking only one or two pills a day during this time, so I decided to increase the dosage to four to five pills a day in order to see if I'd feel an effect. Having taken this much for another few months, I began to feel mildly sick. More specifically, I would feel sick after eating meals when this had never happened to me. Also, I developed a mild but chronic headache. At the time, I wasn't able to identify the Serrapeptase as the cause of these problems, as I remained fixated on the belief that this was helping me. In my naivety, I trusted the Amazon reviews that spoke glowingly of this product. So I continued taking it. One day, I realized that my heart was beating funny. In the twenty or so years before that, I had hardly ever noticed my heartbeat. In addition, I noticed that I had to urinate much more often than usual, and moreover, that there were bubbles in my urine. This was just the beginning of a Pandora's Box of nightmares. One night, after a long day's work, I lay down to go to sleep. To my profound disturbance, I found that I was struggling to breathe while lying down on my back. Also, I noticed that my feet and ankles became swollen after even a couple beers, which had never before either. My feet would become so swollen at times that I had to take off my shoes while sitting down at work. All of these problems scared the living daylights our of me, and I began to do research online as to what the problem might be. I didn't have health insurance at this time, so I neglected to visit the doctor immediately. While I was having all of these issues, I continued to take the Serrapeptase, albeit at a lower dose, since I still had not yet made the connection between taking this supplement and the problems I'd been facing. One day, one of my colleagues, who was 32, passed away from kidney failure. All of us at the company had noticed that he'd looked very sick, but we never thought that he was on the verge of dying this whole time. My colleague's death triggered a wake-up call for me. I was reminded of the fact that I had been feeling really sick too over the past few months. I immediately threw away the Serrapeptase. Worried that I could have a kidney problem, I purchased a urine dipstick online and went to the doctor to get a blood and urine test. While my kidney's filtering capacity was completely normal as indicated by my creatinine levels, the urine test revealed a slightly elevated amount of protein in my urine. I also had an EKG and a BNP test done, which ruled out any electrical abnormalities in my heart or any signs of heart failure. But I was left with this persistent feeling of feeling ill, even after several months of having stopped taking Serrapeptase. I still felt my heart palpitations after eating meals, during exercise, and still had occasional breathing problems while lying down. And my urine continued to be foamy and showed trace amounts of protein. One day, I noticed that there was an area of brownish discoloration in the middle of my chest, right above the sternum. Radiating out of this brown mass were four visible veins. Upon examining my body, I found that veins throughout my entire body had become visible and that this brownish discoloration was not only on my chest, but rather all over my body, especially my legs. When I brought up these skin changes to my doctor, she mentioned that they were unusual but didn’t think it was something that was a problem. She said that having visible veins was normal. So I continued on living my life as best as I could, still worried that there was something terribly wrong with me, still not yet having connecting the problems with Serrapeptase. I began to exercise regularly, changed my diet to an extremely healthy one, and swore off taking any more supplements. Now, two years have passed since I stopped taking Serrapeptase. I am still alive, and I don’t feel sick anymore. But for almost a year after I stopped taking Serrapeptase, I continued to feel sick and continued to have the symptoms I’ve talked about above. At first, I would feel sick every day of the week. Then as weeks passed by, only five or six. Then, there came a moment when I felt good more than half of the days of the week. But I know now what I didn’t before - never put into your body what your doctor does not tell you to, because it just might make your life a living hell, as mine became for almost two years. I still don’t know what exactly happened to me when I took this supplement, and I might never know, but I know something - I was healthy before taking it, became sick while taking it, and became better after stopping it. Correlation isn’t causation, but it’s convincing enough for me. My word of advice: If you are taking this now, stop. Now. If you aren't taking it, don't start. If you're not feeling well, go to your doctor. Don't buy supplements online.
