Joined by Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd, two former victims of the Joker's brutality, the Dark Knight is finally on a path to defeat the madman once and for all. Every last one of him. Geoff Johns ( Doomsday Clock , Batman: Earth One ) and Jason Fabok ( Justice League: The Darkseid War ) reunite to present one of the most highly anticipated comics events in years! Collects Batman: Three Jokers #1-3. Review: Modern Classic - experience it in the grandest format - This is my first comic purchase in Absolute format; I have online DC comic subscription and started reading this story on my tablet; first few pages in I thought, maybe I should try getting a physical copy - the story seemed interesting enough; and now that I have finished reading it, the first thing I am doing is posting this review; apologies for all this rambling but I just want to say that Absolute Format is the best way to experience a comic back; you can stream a movie on your cellphone or you can watch it on a widescreen theater; for those who have already have absolute editions, you know what you are getting...stunning artwork in oversized pages and bonus content; its makes reading the comic book a memorable experience and what's life if not a collection of experiences. The story is kind of one and done; it helps if you have read the Killing joke and maybe Death in the Family but I have read the former and not the latter and it is still an enjoyable read for someone starting out reading DC comics; the artwork is simply amazing and I love how Batman is portrayed; the take on his physical scars and emotional tragedy at the start of this book is something which batman fans are gonna remember long after reading; this book is a keeper and plan to revisit it; doing my research on collectibles it seems that once these books go out of print they are available for a much higher price on secondary market so would recommend Batman fans and also Joker fans (coz this is an equally good joker story) out there to get a copy with the great current discount on the cover price; I have ordered a few more DC absolutes and would be reviewing them soon. Thanks for your time in reading this review Review: Great read - Great seller and fast and reliable. The comic is a great read especially since the killing joke was one of my favorite Batman books. The story had new depth and looking forward to further developments..

A solid novel on story and artwork.
-Im very picky when it comes to buying graphic novels because most times you will have great artwork but a sub par story or perhaps the other way around. Three Jokers is an interesting tale that tips a toe in the water of other great stories such as Death in the Family and The Killing Joke. It does this with a light touch and does not ruin those stories but offers a solid continuation. The artwork is beautiful and every panel is perfectly done. The story is a bit of a detective tale that sinks into the history of the Bat Family ultimately focusing on the different paths each member has taken to deal with past events. The ending is satisfying because it is not so much a happy one but one that leaves you wanting more. The Joker (or Jokers) are major players but it's not overdone so that the mystery can exist. My favorite variation of the three was "The Criminal" which was an older and way more serious Joker somewhere in the range of the Nicholson film version. Honestly I didn't have high expectations for this story but it was my favorite read of 2023. It just left me wanting more of the Three Jokers and the solemn note at the end just rang true with what I love about the darkness of the Batman mythology. This one is a keeper and I will certainly reread it again and again.

Somewhat disappointing story, Fantastic art
This collects all of the three issues of the Three Jokers story. This book is the long awaited explanation of the plot thread that was introduced in Justice League, "The Darkseid War" back in 2015; when the Mobius chair told Batman that there were actually three Jokers. I found this story to be pretty disappointing for a few reasons. First of all, after over four years of waiting, I really expected a more epic and revealing narrative than we get here. The explanations we get in this series are very shallow and unsatisfying, and it does not at all live up to the hype. It might have been difficult to create anything that would be worth this long of a wait, but this book isn't even close in my opinion. Also, mainly because of the delay, the story really doesn't fit well in the current continuity of Batman. Joker War was just recently wrapped up in another Batman story arc, and Three Jokers doesn't really seem to mesh with that arc at all. This book is really more of a Killing Joke 2.0. The book has a ton of Killing Joke references, in both the narrative and the artwork. It also references A Death in the Family, the story in which Jason Todd was killed. This book really seems to be more about adding more background to those two classic stories, and less about any amazing new revelations about the Joker himself. Having said that, the artwork is amazing. Even if you have no knowledge of Killing Joke or Death in the Family, you can probably appreciate the beautiful Jason Fabok artwork. If you are familiar with those other stories, you might appreciate the artwork even more; as there are some great visual references to those classic books. I really didn't enjoy this story, but the artwork is so good that I had to keep reading anyway. TL,DR: If you are looking for an epic and satisfying resolution to the Three Jokers tease from four years ago, you will likely be disappointed. If you love Killing Joke and want to see some great art that references that classic story, then this might be for you.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a big fan of the Joker if I'm being honest. I think he's overdone and Batman has so many good villians. I want more Mad Hatter, Manbat, Scarecrow, Professor Pyg, Two Face, and Killer Croc. But the idea of 3 Jokers existing that was teased in Darkseid War is intriguing. This isn't another bank robbery or dumb scheme. This is a BIG ONE. This story does the Killing Joke justice. If Joker is to have an origin story, he prefers its multiple choice. Who is he though? We got hints but we never knew. There's a mystique to the Joker. And if you're afraid knowing the Joker's identity will change things, don't. I don't want to spoil anything, but it'll be fine. The story focuses on Batman, Batgirl, and Red Hood; the 3 batfamily members affected the most by the Joker. It does them all justice. I'm actually not a fan of Barbara Gordon, but this book made me like her. And they treated Jason so good. I love Jason Todd and this story is fantastic. This is 5 outta 5. I loved it. There's many questions raised as well. I think we get more questions than answers in fact. If you don't enjoy this, I don't know what to say. It's a good Batman story. A good Batgirl story. A good Red Hood story. A good Joker story.

One Joker Isn’t Enough!
I love Batman and the Joker. And this is a good book to read. I’m trying to build up a collection of Batman and Joker books to read whenever I want to and this is one of many I am going to have in the collection. I think it’s a must have for Batman and Joker fans.

Three Jokers - A Must Read!!
I was looking forward to this for a long time. In the aftermath of Justice League: The Darkseid War, Batman reveals that the Mobius Chair told him about three Jokers when he asks for the Joker's real name. I have been waiting when DC was going to focus on that and I was worried that they might have abandoned it. Four years later, after the conclusion of the Darkseid War, DC finally published a new storyline that can give me the details of what I want to know about the Joker. Turns out, the Joker have been three different men the whole time. There have been three different versions of the Joker: The Criminal, The Clown and the Comedian. Their goals is to make another Joker, one who will be worthy of being the Dark Knight's arch-nemesis. The Three Jokers storyline is a spiritual successor to two previous Batman storylines: The Killing Joke and A Death in the Family. It resurfaces old wounds left on Batman and two members of the Bat-family who have experienced so much pain from the Jokers over the years. I was wondering to see how the confrontation of the Joker will challenge them both mentally and emotionally. Maybe it will give them the closure the Bat-Family they need to move on. This is the most dark and emotional story that I have ever read. I highly recommend reading this book and I also recommend reading The Killing Joke and A Death in the Family before reading The Jokers story.

Bella storia sottovalutata

Mind blowing , quintessential Joker vs Batman. MUST READ
This was a mind blowing read! A real psychological roller coaster with an amazing storyline. The ending could have been better but overall a must have/read for die hard Batman fans.

Well written, interesting, awesome art.
A really interesting thought experiment about what if there was more than one Joker. Morrison’s take was that the Joker continually re-invents himself … Johns’ take is that there was always more than one (although how the World’s Greatest Detective never figured it out until now is beyond me). The best comic books tell their story through the artwork and this is a great example of that. The facial expressions in the scenes with Barbara and Jason, the close ups of a single touch, or glance, bring stacks of emotion to the book. Definitely worth a read.
