Diamond Select Toys Star Trek Electronic Enterprise B Ship

The Excelsior class starship Enterprise NCC-1701-B from the movie Generations; this is a beautifully crafted model of the vessel. I have nearly all of the other Art Asylum / Diamond Select Toys star trek ships, and this Enterprise-B is by far one of the most impressive! First, this model is substantially larger than most other AA/DST Star Trek ships - this Enterprise is over 18" long from the forward tip of the saucer section to the ends of the warp nacelles! If you are familiar w/ other AA/DST ships, you should see this ship to be in the same scale as the Enterprise from The Wrath of Khan. The pack includes: -- the Enterprise-B, complete w/ no assembly required -- standard blue AA/DST display stand -- 3 EXTRA AAA batteries (I say extra since the ship comes w/ batteries already installed) Although many AA/DST Star Trek ships come w/ two battery covers (one w/ the hole for the display stand and one w/out), the location of the display stand hole at the bottom of the Drive Section on this ship doesn't allow for an alternate piece w/out the hole. This is certainly not a bad thing though, as the detail and precision of the sculpting and colors of the ship are dead-on accurate, right down to the circular rings w/in the Navigational Deflector dish and the recessed Impulse Engine vents. For the Lights and Sounds part, there are over half-a-dozen audio clips from Generations. The areas of the ship that light-up are very cool, and the sound quality is very good. The speakers sound surprisingly good compared to other such AA/DST Star Trek ships. Finally, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, forget what you see in other reviews for this product! Disregard the haters who complain about "very dirty" and other such detractors. As mentioned above, I have almost all of these Art Asylum / Diamond Select Toys star trek ships, and I am one of the most exacting Star Trek fans you could ever meet - this Enterprise-B is simply amazing! Once of the most impressive of all the starships they have turned out yet. If someone received a bad or dirty item, that would be more of a Seller related issue - this modedl/toy is 100% excellent. I wouldn't say otherwise if it weren't so, nor would I have anything to gain by doing so.

I was really looking forward to this to add to my collection of vehicles and I wasn't disappointed. Here are the Pro's: - Is a great looking collectable and the sounds are cool. - The way that you attach the ship to the base is a much better way than the stupid little ball that is on the NX-01 or TWoK Enterprise. I don't see why they don't use this way of attaching to the base ALL the time. CONs: - There is only one and you would have to look REALLY close and with a magnifying glass to see it. The sides of the ship actually say Excelsior, not Enterprise. The main hull and nacelle's are fine, but the sides of the ship are not. But you don't notice it as I said unless you *really* look. A very small con in my opinion.

I was kind of nervous ordering this after reading some of the initial reviews, but as this is one of my favorite starfleet ships, I went for it. . .and glad I did. The details were spot on. No decals were out of place, the paint job was superior and the side of the ship does not say Excelsior, as some prior reviews have stated. I have quite the collection of these ships (NX-01 -> NCC-1701E) from Diamond Select and some are better than others, but this one is superior. It took up it's home, between the 1701A and the 1701D. Still waiting for the 1701C to complete the collection!

I waited a very long time for a pre-built model of the Enterprise B to be released, and this Diamond Select toy doesn't disappoint, especially for the price paid! It's not perfect (some of the decal applications are mis-aligned, especially around the edge of the saucer section,) but for a $40 toy, it's as good as it could be. From a few feet away (as it would be if you had it displayed on a shelf) it looks amazing!

It's got its pros and cons. Pros: amazing, bright lights great sound if you hold down the button, it stays lit up attention to detail is overall exceptional looks amazing on its stand cons: god-awful weathering affect not nearly as white or shiny as it looks online here one of the yellow decals on the saucer section was never put on mine part of the secondary hull wasn't quite lines up with it's other half when they glued it in place, but this isn't an obvious problem until you stare at it for a while top of stand (which is on a ball joint) was glued tightly in place for some reason (me and my father fixed this with some sort of unbonding agent) top of stand easily breaks, making the product (if the stand breaks) impossible to put on top of stand, as well as impossible to send back (me and my father fixed this using a "battleships" spike piece as the new top) Overall the cons don't neccasarily outweigh the pros, but vice-versa, the pros don't make up for the cons.

Diamond Select has captured the majesty of the Excelsior class starship the Enterprise B! Great detail, superb lights and sounds, and sturdy warp nacelles that don't droop. The stand is finally useful and sturdy enough to handle normal use without fear of the thing breaking. A great item for the price.

The details are great, but the faux "dirt" added to the finish was a very poor design choice. Seriously, wtf. Should have just gone with a nice flat white and skipped the rugged dirty look. The batteries are difficult to replace as others have said. Making the bridge module the sfx button is kind of weird, and it's really touchy, as you're never sure how long to hold the button to play the sound fx. I'd love to give it 5 stars, but these design flaws take a couple of stars. It's a nice sturdy resin or plastic, so I'm happy there, and the nacelles are straight. It's worth the money for a nice little display piece and I love the Enterprise-B. I hope it gets its own show, season, or movie someday. One can wish. The ship looks amazing from almost every angle.

Came packaged in a serialized shipping box from China that was an exact size needed for the Display box the Toy comes in. The Enterprise B is just as expected if you read the long review below. Mine came with Enterprise B on the side. Was kind of disappointed it did not say Excelsior because that means I will just have to buy Excelsior when it comes out! It was a bit dirty. So what. Looks like it was designed to be. Not at all noticeable until you have your magnifying glass out (to read Federation of Planets decals). Battery compartment is opened carefully by a Philips head then a flat spatula blade to lift the tab...then grab with protected jaws of a small set of pliers to pull straight Aft. The battery box can be pulled out with fingers. Fit is fine. Some places were mismatched but nothing that will show from a display shelf. Wish the Bridge lit up but 4 Impulse Engines make up for it. Nice Blue color. Good movie outtakes. Seems perfect size compared to all the other Diamond Select Enterprise Ships. All I need now is the original, non-HD. Did they make one yet?

Very nice, well done. I haven't come across any flaws at all. I would recommend this. I plan on buying some others by this manufacturer. I'm just a 55 year old child.

This is something i was looking it when it was released to add to my personal collection of Star Ships from the Star Trek Universe and its just Brilliant! Seller is awesome quick to dispatch and in perfect condition

Ein super Model, richtig schön und gut verarbeitet bis auf zwei stellen aber die sind nicht schlimm. Die lichter sind richtig gut und der Sound gut zu verstehen. Ein passendes Model zur Excelsior NCC-2000. Kann dieses Model nur entfehlen
