Flying Pig High Velocity Dog Pet Grooming Dryer w/Heater (Model: Flying One, Green)

Edit 3/6/21: I reached out to the customer service department for flying pig and spoke to them about my dryer overheating and shutting off. They sent me a brand new unit at no charge and I spent the last few weeks putting this new dryer through the ringer. I certainly made it a point to use it at least 9-10 times to see if the problem I had with my previous unit would continue and I’m happy to say I had zero problems! The air output is great and the heat vs no heat functions have been wonderful in the cooler temps. The dryer works as it should and I am happy to reassess and re-review this at the 5 stars it deserves. I’m unsure if there was just a problem with my old unit or what but I’m super happy with both my working product and the flying pig company overall. They truly stand by their product and absolutely want to see their customers happy. I am glad I reached out and I definitely plan on being a continued customer. I truly appreciate everything! *************************************** Initially I was really impressed with the flying pig dryer. The speed and ability to dry my Australian Shepherd was phenomenal. Unfortunately after about 4 months of using this (20-30 minutes at a time every other week - so essentially 9 uses or about 4.5 hours) the unit overheats and continually trips my surge protector. Both the hose and body become unbearably hot prior to shutting off. I’ve cleaned and changed the filter but the problem still persists. As a result I’m disappointed in this item considering all the good I had previously heard and now I’m out a dryer and have to purchase a new one. I would not recommend this item for purchase.

TRULY THE BEST DOG DRYER EVER! I HAVE HAD MINE SEVERAL YEARS AND IT STILL WORKS LIKE NEW...AND I USE IT ALMOST WEEKLY WITH MY DOGS. I HAVE A BERNESE MT DOG, A LANDSEER NEWFOUNDLAND, AND TIBETAN TERRIERS SO THICK HAIR IS A BIG DEAL FOR US! I DECIDED AS I RETIRED THAT I WOULD DO MY OWN GROOMING LOL AND MY PREVIOUS GROOMER RECOMMENDED THIS DRYER. WOW THIS DRYER IS TRULY A WIN! THE PRICE IS MORE THAN WORTH IT! IT HAS A HIGH OR LOW INTENSITY, WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT WHEN U HAVE NEW PUPPIES AND WANT THEM TO GET USED TO IT AS WELL AS COOLING OR WARM AIR, WHICH AGAIN MATTERS BECAUSE HAIRY PUPS LIKE MINE IN THE SUMMER DO NOT EVER LIKE WARM AIR BLOWING ON THEM. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS DRYER, NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.

It work just as well as a professional groomer tool. It’s not real noisy, lightweight and has a no heat option which is great for my hairy Shepard. It shakes out his undercoat without brushing and drys his off very well. It has heat regulation options in case heat is not needed. This was a lifesaver. Bathing a large hairy dog with anxiety issues is no small task and this saves me time and energy and it’s over quickly. I recommend this to anyone in need of assistance in getting their pet groomed efficiently and want to do it themselves.

Perfect for small dogs and pet owners. Gets nice n hot. The hose and cord aren’t super long so watch for that. Powerful & the speed dial is perfect for training

If buying for deshedding, this thing works. My golden sheds like crazy and this blew up a cloud of hair (after a bath and intense brushing). Powerful, much quieter than you’d think. I didn’t want to spend this much compared to other models on here but after one use I’m already glad I did.

Very pleased with quality and result. It is not very loud but powerful. Heat is more like warm-ish but it’s so powerful it doesn’t need hot air.

This dryer is significantly lighter than I expected so it is highly portable, which makes shedding maintenance easier to manage. The flow is strong enough to reach all the way through my Lab’s coat. I don’t have long hair dog experience so I can’t speak directly but I think it would work on any dog. I appreciate the high/low heat setting separate from the “volume” of air flow. The high heat setting is HOT! I would worry about overheating small dogs on that setting. The switch for the heat is sturdy so I feel confident I won’t bump it with the hose and flip it to high accidentally. The blower on high is loud but not intolerably. It is louder than a vacuum cleaner, quieter than a leaf blower. I am glad I bought this model and it’s worth the investment to take good care of doggo’s coat.

Did my due diligence on choosing a dryer because of the investment price. This dryer was recommended by multiple dog groomers on youtube as an excellent choice for home use. I can attest to the excellent quality of unit, the hose is sturdy and pliable, and attachments are great. Noise level is in accordance with the power of dryer. I use the dryer in a medium sized bathroom, and when using the highest settings it can be loud, but not acceptable or unexpected. My two large poodles look awesome after using this dryer. Both dogs have been professionally groomed and are used to the process. Therefore they were okay with this dryer's sound, heat, and high air flow. Purchased the pink version mid November 2023 and the price I paid was better than Black Friday deals. Bonus - it arrived earlier than expected. All around positive experience. Highly recommend - solid choice!! Stop procrastinating like I did - you and your dog(s) will benefit from having this dryer.

Stopped working after 1 use, waited for ages for this aswel. Disappointed

Absolutely amazing dryer. If you have a full coated dog this is the dryer for you. I have 2 full coated Old English Sheepdogs and they love to swim this dryer is amazing. Works so well gets into their thick coats with ease.

We were replacing an older metrovac that finally died. This one is easily as good, and a little less money. It does an amazing job even on our German shepherd. Is variable speed so can easily do small dogs too. Seems sturdy and good quality, so I expect no problems, but, time will tell.

Used anxiety hoodie as she doesn’t like loud noises. Worked beautifully- could see water being blown off her. Came out dry and fluffy. Seems to be quieter than my own blow dryer.
