DOCTOR WHO Reconnaissance Dalek Figure

The Doctor Who episode Resolution was superb, this figure is very accurate of the oddball Dalek who built itself from nothing. It divided opinion, but clearly this was a one-off Dalek, personally, I loved the way this Dalek looked improvised and very "steampunk", that was the point, it was a desperate and deranged Dalek who didn't know what they were doing that put this body together, an opposed to a laboratory/Dalek factory. I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and love 13, this Dalek was a total nod to "Sheffield Steel" Doctor 13 building the sonic, Resolution is a great episode and this figure is a really great bit of merch relating to the said episode. Great in or out of the packaging, has fantastic likeness and articulation, brilliant toy or display collector's item, currently on very good offer

I ordered two of these and they arrived in perfect condition and well packaged. What a great looking new Dalek this is, an excellent figure of the unique scrap yard Recon Dalek seen in "Resolution" (2019 New Year's Day special). Great details with superb paint apps, a vibrant brown colour with silver brushed effect like metal. Big bulky base with different sized big and small hemispheres like nothing we've seen before. This is the first entirely new sculpt of a 5" Dalek we've seen from Character Options in MANY a year, and they've taken the chance to make new additions like the compartment that opens in the front of the Dalek into which the included Dalek mutant can be fitted and posed as if it is emerging from the Dalek casing! Great idea. Also the Dalek swivels in the middle, a feature long awaited in the 5" Daleks. The Dalek mutant accessory is a great extra addition that adds a lot to the pack. Highly recommended figure, a MUST if you are a Dalek collector. Wonderful to see a new 5" Dalek on general release 😊

Well when this design was introduced to our Tv screens in 2019 i didn't like the design but to my amazement Character Options has actually made this Dalek Figure very likeable. The fact you can take the Dalek Mutant out of the casing and place it back in is really unique, i doubt we'll see it on any other design, it's so fun to know there is an actual Dalek Mutant inside, very realistic to the show! Overall if you collect every variation of the Daleks like me or you are fond of the design or even just want to buy a unique figure it is definitely worth the purchase!

Yes I said 'toys' not 'action figures', leave me be. A massive fan of Resolution, I never expected to see that Dalek design come to the dwindling CO line up, but boy was I wrong! For the first time in YEARS we have a completely new mould from Character Options and its pretty fantastic to boot! Do I wish the manipulator arm was built of stronger plastic as to not bend (like quite a few Dalek figures also have) - SURE! but it's a trade off for full 360 rotation at the dome and gun housing - a must have for any any collector or fan of the Daleks.

Another great figure for the collection. Highly detailed dalek figure. Fully articulated and great paint work. Looks just like the dalek seen in the new year special. Perfect for any doctor who fan or collector.

The Reconnaissance Dalek AKA Stig of the Daleks left me cold in the New Year special! However, Character has excelled itself with this all-new sculpt and it has earned pride of place on the shelf!

Screen accurate with a fun mutant accessory!

Item arrived exactly as photographed but inspecting 'real' package there are some glaring inconsistencies with a 'real' Dalek. I should have examined photo of product better, my fault not the supplier. Let me put it this way, if I had seen it in a shop I wouldn't have bought it! So, not supplier's fault really, so changing my three star rating back to a five.
