Handy Little Storage Solution
This "OTG" (On The Go) drive is great for switching files between computer/phone/tablet with dual USB-C 3.1 (gen1) and USB 3.1 type A interfaces ... It's a neat looking little thing made of metal which seems to also act as a thermal heat sink as the drive heats up transferring files (good thermal design) ... Being as it is made of metal it has a little bit more weight to it than a plastic one ... but I like that (feels solid) ... A central pin swings the housing to accommodate dual function making it "Small and Beautiful" at about 4cm long and 1.5cm wide ... The read speed seems "pretty much bang on" to Sandisk's 150 mb/s claim (via usb 3.2 port) ... but write speeds only about 1/2 as fast (not unsurprising for this type of storage) ... If you need faster data transfer rates for your external storage you can get a 500 GB nvme SSD and a USB-C 3.2 enclosure for about £50 which will give you read/write speeds of about 1GB/s ... but obviously not as tiny and portable ... Over all this is a pretty decent little drive ... Looks great ... Performs to manufactures claims with Sandisk 5yr warranty ... Reassuringly made of "Heavy Metal" which seems to have "Dual Properties" as heat sink ... £15 for 128 GB 150mb/s read speed ... Seems fair ... Good Drive

Quick... Toasty
This is like lightning compared to all my previous USB 2.0 handout specials which cap at around 8MB/s. Rufus loads up an entire Windows 10 ISO to it in like 90 seconds flat; good stuff. Durability: no idea, but it's Sandisk and they're generally pretty good, at least I've had good experiences when stealing my girlfriend's Sandisk Ultra USB sticks. The build quality does feel good on this though, being all metal it doesn't feel like it's going to flex or bend when plugged in. It also addressed my main concern of the swivelling mechanism just flopping around all over the place, but it actually 'locks' in at each end with a decisive click which is very satisfying indeed. It does get toasty to the touch... Like not burn yourself hot, but hot enough to where you have to trust that you won't burn yourself. Presumably, this is because the metal case is conducting the heat away from the internals, rather than insulating it like a plastic case would, and it probably isn't any better or worse than anything else, I just haven't owned a fast enough USB stick before for it to feel as hot as this one does. Finally (assuming it lasts), this is proper good value for money - I still vaguely recall when 32GB was a huge memory stick and would cost a small fortune, but for ~£15 for a 128GB stick that can plug into basically anything... Man, lucky times hey.

Hot!
Fast, compact and, so far, reliable. The only downside is that it gets incredibly hot during usage. Not simply warm. Hot to the point of being uncomfortable to touch. How this will impact the life of the unit, only time will tell but it doesn't help its usability. (512GB version)

Excellent external drive!
My favourite USB Flash drive and brand at the moment. I also have the Sandisk 1TB that I use with my Macbook Air M3 -- both have a metal outer casing that I suspect helps with heat dissipation... although I haven't notice the drives heating up at all. As I take lots of photos & videos and also have a large music library, I was constantly running out of space on the MacBook Air. The 1TB external USB flash drive is formatted in Apple's APFS file format and I have moved my Apple Music and Photos Library onto this external drive. All is working well thus far (9 months since July 2025 and counting)

Solid and Stylish: The Perfect USB-C Flash Drive for Quest 3 and More!
I needed a USB-C flash drive for my Quest 3 VR headset to store my movies, and the Sandisk USB-C Flash Drive ticked all my boxes. I opted for the 256GB version in a gold finish, and I'm glad I did. This is one solid, high-quality, metal USB-C flash drive. After it arrived, I immediately formatted it to exFAT and loaded it with 3D movies for VR use. The average transfer speed ranged from 70MBps to 230MBps. When I connected it to my Quest 3, the flash drive was immediately recognized by the SkyBox VR player (note: the Bigscreen Beta doesn't support flash drives yet). Note for all Quest 3 users: You need USB-C 3.2 to be recognized by your VR headset and SkyBox VR player. I also tested this USB-C flash drive with Samsung mobile phones running Android, and the connection was immediate. This drive can also be used as a backup for your gallery and other files. My only complaint is that, due to its small size and full metal body, this thing gets very hot! So be aware of that. Otherwise, I'm giving it 5 stars because it is solidly built and looks more expensive than what I paid for it.

Convenient with both USB and USB C
Sandisk are always reliable but they have increased in price. But would say it’s still good value for money. Fits both USB and USB C which is very convenient and has great transfer speeds.

Garbage
Update: Compared to the four SanDisk Ultra USB A/C drives I have of the older style (plastic housing with the push and slide a button to reveal the A or C part function rather than the swivel this has), of which half of them are no longer functional and lost all my data, this one at least hasn't failed (yet). That and the premium aesthetic of it are about the only positive things I have to say about it though. It is incomprehensibly slow. I think the USB 2.0 flash drive I had fifteen years ago performed faster than this. It gets absolutely scalding hot pretty much immediately after plugging it in, looking inside a folder of what I'd previously managed to somehow transfer to the drive takes literally a minute or longer to load the contents, and just now I tried copying six files totalling 14GB across to it to transfer from one laptop to another - it spent MINUTES on the "preparing to copy" stage, then eventually got to 67.1MB copied, didn't progress any further, and was still estimating the time remaining. I then decided to just use AirDrop for the files instead, which got the job done in seven or eight minutes, while this SanDisk drive was still processing the cancel request... I'm now trying to run the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on it while writing this review, which is stuck and now frozen with the write needle displaying a whopping 13.8MB/s. Quite how SanDisk can claim this is capable of up to 400MB/s is beyond me, it is without a doubt the worst performing flash drive I have ever owned. Original review: Bought it a little over a year so as to conveniently transfer things between my phone and laptop, so it hasn't been used or plugged in much, probably at most twenty hours of total usage. Much like my other SanDisk flash drives, it's absolutely terrible. Takes forever to mount, takes forever to unmount, takes forever to load what's on it in Finder, takes forever to open anything stored on it, certainly wouldn't trust it with any data that matters because it appears to be so horribly unreliable. Absolute waste of money and the last straw for me with SanDisk, I'll be looking into other manufacturers for flash storage from now on.

Great Build Quality, but Software Compatibility is a Headache
I purchased the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe specifically to use with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. On paper, this is the perfect solution for offloading large photos and videos, and the all-metal design feels very premium and durable. However, the user experience has been disappointing. I downloaded the official SanDisk app as instructed, but the drive simply is not recognized. No matter how many times I reconnect it or restart the app, it fails to function. What I’ve noticed: • Build: The swivel design and metal casing are excellent. • Software: The official app seems poorly optimized for the latest iOS/iPhone 15 hardware. • Workaround: Interestingly, I can sometimes see the drive through the native iOS "Files" app, but the dedicated SanDisk software—which is supposed to manage backups—is completely unresponsive for me. It’s a beautiful piece of hardware, but if the software doesn't work, the "Luxe" experience isn't worth much. I hope SanDisk releases a firmware or app update soon to fix these connectivity issues. A quick tip for you: Since you have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, you actually don't need the SanDisk app for basic file transfers. Apple’s native Files app (the blue folder icon) is much more stable. 1. Plug the drive into your iPhone. 2. Open the Files app. 3. Tap Browse at the bottom right. 4. Look under Locations—your SanDisk drive should appear there.

AMAZING!
Amazing speed of delivery, great speed of file transferring, and very small size 👏🏻 very satisfied with this purchase and I bought one for my mom and another one is for my partner. They're all satisfied with the convenience and performance. It only got hot once used but other than that, no issue.

Excelente producto.
Excelente producto. Ampliamente recomendablep
