Can't Say Enough About This Box!
I'm, well - over 60, and have tried several tool boxes in my life. Most tool boxes have a useless lift-out tray of un-organized frustration. This unit helps me organize my tools and holds a surprising amount - so much so that on occasion I use both hands to carry it by it's integrated side handles (another benefit - though the single top-handle is plenty sturdy). It has a weather strip as an added bonus to make it water resistant if you get caught in the rain working on a project. I purchased this box in 2020 and am reviewing in 2023 so I can attest to it being sturdy. It comes in a larger size but I know if I bought the larger box I'd only fill it up and it would be too heavy for me to carry - plus the only tool I don't already have in it is a large pipe wrench. As is, it holds every tool that I need. Great gift too if you know a young person just starting out in their collection of tools.

They're super durable, reliable
This is a quality toolbox -- original shipment had plastic casting issue where handle snapped into the lid, but Amazon fixed that quickly (as always). These FatMax boxes are the way to go for a medium-duty box. They're super durable, reliable, and have a nice weather seal. I would not buy another plastic box!

Excellent large capacity economic durable toolbox
Had this box a number of years now, it’s very durable, beat the heck out of it and it serves as a chair or step without hesitation. The hinges are metal clinging to plastic and can get a little wobbly and funky- one fell off once, but it just popped back into place; overall they’re strong clamps though. They’ve remained functional and you only need to clamp down one to be able to carry it. I carry 40+ lbs of tools in it. I did leave it in the bed of my truck for 7 months and when I came back water had filled it and rusted my tools. But aside from that event, which was likely from freezing/thawing through the winter, (ice may have made a gap in the thick quality gasket), it has held against water and been a great toolbox.

Good buy for the price.
I lucked up and got this on a Prime special so it was about $22 instead of $34 and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. It's much larger than I had imagined. The clips are super tight so it definitely takes two hands to open the box. havent had any water issues but I don't leave this in the rain as a normal occurrence. The box is very well made and feels like it will last a long time. I'm using it to store small tools and random detail brushes. The tray is moveable so if you wanted to store a larger tool (drill or larger) it would fit nicely.

Super sturdy
Fantastically sturdy, I (250lbs) could stand on this to reach something, probably for few hours if I had to. The structural foam is no joke. It weighs as much (or actually probably less for the same size) as steel box of yesteryear but will not dent, bend or rust and is in fact far stronger. Plus this has a gasket to keep it water resistant (never had it out in a proper storm but aside from submersion I don’t see any water getting into this design). If you need a good sturdy toolbox this is it. I have since moved on to a proper tool chest in the home shop and then tool bags I can load up with what I need for where I’m going. I formerly had been able to fit all my tools in here but the nature of collections being what they are I had to upgrade. If you had few enough tools to fit in here this does make a fine bench top organizer and it just happens to be portable (it does get pretty heavy loaded up though, mine was ~50lbs). For things more delicate than tools this would certainly keep them protected.
