Quality reasonable price functionality
Has all three. Been using a diamond sharpener... But they dont seem to last very long. So went back to tried and true wet stone. This is a great sharpening wet stone. Only takes a couple passes to get your knives sharp. Highly recommend. And wer stones last for years. And it cost no more than a diamond sharpener. Win win purchase. Highly recommend

My knives are like a scalpel now!!!
I bought this Whetstone to give new life to my kitchen knives. This product is easy to use and does an AMAZING job getting your knives sharp. If/when done properly, your knives will be sharper than when you purchased them. Great product. Also, FYI, be sure to go on YouTube for some instructions so that you can watch how it's done. I binged like 10 videos to learn everything I could beforehand, it definitely helps. UPDATE: Like most knife nerds/sharpeners, I have since purchased other whetstones. Although this whetstone combo works well, the 1000 grit is not as coarse as other whetstones that cut faster. The 6000 grit is fantastic. It's actually softer that many 8000 grit stones. My only minor gripe is the 1000 grit, because when compared to other stones, I have to use considerable more pressure and spend more time on the stone to do what other 1000 can do with less time/effort.

My first whetstone
This is the first whetstone Iโve ever owned. Itโs easy to use and my knives were easy to sharpen with it . The instructions are clear and step-by-step. But I have to tell you about the customer service. The instructions mention an angle guide that helps you keep the knife at the proper angle to the whetstone while youโre sharpening it, but I didnโt get one. They got right back to me, and I think the guide is no longer in the product description so theyโre not shipping with it. But they sent me a guide anyway! So Iโm happy with the whetstone and Iโm more than happy with their customer service.

Best Value
I bought this because I have a lot of knives for cooking and camping that needed sharpening (initially). I one of those as-seen-on-tv handheld ones for quick sharpening but it just wasn't doing the job for damage knives. I got this and was able to get pretty much all of the damage out of my knives. So then I remembered I have a hatchet that had a nice bite in from wear against wood. It also sharpened that hatchet better than the hand held one. And lastly I had a sword that I had accidentally dinged the crap out of, and yes, I used this whetstone in sharpening that as well. It took out the ding and sharpened it perfectly. Definitely worth the investment. The little white fix-it stone is really nice at shaving down the sides when youre done, and the non-slip works fairly well on wood surfaces, but not much else it seems.

Completely Mediocre Sharpening Stone
Don't be pulled in by the reviews that this is some 5 star, amazing product. This is fine. There are a couple of glaring issues that might this set less than ideal, but for the price it's a fair buy. Downsides: - Sharpening platform does not actually stick very well, slides around easily - Leveling "Fix" stone is very small and takes a lot of time to use effectively - Abysmal instruction manual that doesn't cover most of the actual sharpening process - Knife angle holder is pretty bulk and interferes with many knidves It's a fine kit, but you can definitely buy much better.

Best sharpener yet asnd very easy to use.
I have a heavy chef's knife for general kitchen duty including dicing meat plus a few smaller knives for peeling, dicing and cutting small jobs. I've bought several electric sharpening machines and a diamond faced sharpening steel over the past few years. They've done the job but none of them get a blade quite as sharp as I would really like. In the past few months I also bought a chinese style cleaver and a filleting knife, both of which were razor sharp when purchased but I don't trust any of my electric sharpeners to bring the blades back as new. I decided a whetstone would be the best bet. so having read the various reviews here and on YouTube, got the impression they mostly work the same and that a 1000/6000 grit is the best mix of coarseness. The main decider for me would the the price and mostly positive reviews from a lot of verified buyers. This product is sold at an attractive price and has a fairly high feedback score but one thing that almost deterred me is there are a number of buyers reviews where the people complained about the length of time it takes to sharpen a blade. I took the chance and ordered anyway. I soaked the stone as instructed, fitted the plastic guide before use just to see what angle it sets but it's just the logical one so I discarded it and don't see any future use for it. I must say I'm baffled as to why it's taking some people so long. I didn't actually time it but my stainless steel cleaver was razor sharp after at most a few minutes just using the 1000 grit side. I alternated sides every 20 seconds or so, and moved the blade across the stone in a circular motion at the correct angle with just a small amount of downward pressure. It couldn't be easier to master. I also did my heavy chef's knife and that too came out perfectly in a very short time, so as far as I'm concerned the stone is an extremely easy and efficient method of sharpening kitchen tools. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

High quality product that came exactly as promised
I love this thing. I'd been struggling with keeping a chef's knife I had sharp, but between a little patience, the angle guide, and actually paying attention to form, I got my 8 inch chef's knife sharper than it has ever been. Since then, this whetstone has breathed new life into all my knives, including my santoku and my slicer, and all my peelers. It's superb, and I'm pretty sure I won't have to think about getting another sharpener for another 20 years.
