Have no previous experience with Wheeler products, but due to the low price point I decided to give them a chance to show their stuff. The company shipped promptly and the description of the product was accurate. Looking it over after receiving it in the mail, I noticed right off the casing was plastic and very light weight. The only metal appears to be the spring, a couple of screws internally, and the rod that hooks over the trigger. After trying it on a couple of firearms I have concluded that it is easy to use, the instructions (and warnings) are clear, yet it is not extremely accurate. Of course, if you follow the directions and test the trigger pull 3 times, then the average of the three try's is pretty close. Worked fairly well on a Keltec PF-9 and a Remington 700, but was difficult to use on a Glock 17. I think the issue was because of the trigger safety design on the Glock. Can be difficult to pull the safety and the trigger properly with the hook for the test. However, it can be done with a bit of patience. All in all, it's not very expensive and can give you a reasonable trigger pull weight, and not break the bank. I would recommend it to others with the caveat that you're not purchasing a finely machined piece of equipment,

This is a quality trigger pull scale that does the same job as units 2-3 times the cost. This Wheeler trigger pull scale got good reviews online so I decided to give it a try, and i'm glad that I did. I like how consistent/repeatable it is. I can do 10 pulls in a row and have 8/10 be the EXACT same measurement. The other 2/10 will be within 2 ounces which is pretty darn good. It is easy to use, and you don't have to put the gun in a vise to obtain consistent results. I have no standard for comparison, but it seems accurate within reason. It's definitely not way off. My trigger jobbed 1911 came in at 2.5 lbs, trigger jobbed Beretta Elite II was 2.8 lbs SA, close to stock Beretta 92FS 4 lbs SA, stock Glock 22 6 lbs. Works for both single and double action trigger pulls provided they are below 8 lbs (DA on my worked Beretta Elite II is 5.5 lbs). The printed scale and indicator is easy to read in 2 ounce increments. Very simple to make out 1/2 and 1/4 pound increments unlike other scales. Solid construction, doesn't feel cheap. Has a nice thick rubber coated end so it won't scratch your gun. I slipped one time and it didn't leave a mark. Some other scales have rubber pads, but exposed metal ends that can scratch, so +1 to the Wheeler for that. Operation is very smooth while using it. The internal spring appears robust and makes for reliable and consistent operation (it's just a calibrated spring so it's dummy proof). Amazon shipped the unit very quickly. If you are looking for a quality non-electronic scale at an awesome price point, look no further than this Wheeler trigger pull scale. A very nice tool to have if you work on your guns, or are just curious about your pull weights.

Solid mechanical scale. Seems consistent so far. Is it going to give you the precision of a digital one, No. But does it also cost less than half the price, Yes. Like I stated, it gave me consistent readings on several different guns that made me comfortable that I was at least fairly accurate or close to the exact trigger weight. I know that on my Glock, I knew from the consistency of the readings I was getting, and with the trigger safety on the Glock, it didn't make for the easiest pull to keep the hook on the trigger and try to maintain a consistent pull on the scale without it slipping off... But I was getting just over 3's and other times I was getting just at 3.5 lb reading. Oddly enough, when I was getting one reading it would give it to me 4 or 5 out of 5 times. So when It was reading just over 3.0, it was consistent for at least 4 outta 5 times solid. And when it was giving me just at 3.5, it was consistent for 4 or 5 of the 5 pulls. Not sure why or how it stayed consistently the same, but different from each other. It was never more than a 1/2 in variance though and that's fairly negligible considering if you bought the mechanical one, you weren't using it to take to competitions and bank on it in regards to your trigger weight. I also took the Glock to the Gun store and had him do it on his Digital $65 scale, and the reading that came up were consistent and averaged out to 3.3 on his digital scale... So in reality, this Wheeler Trigger Pull Scale was even closer than I could have imagined and was extremely consistent in doing so. I definitely would recommend and will be purchasing another should I need to buy one again,.

Digital stuff is fine as long as the batteries hold out. Wheeler has made quality gears for ages. This device delivers what you need for setting up a trigger void of the loss of power in a digital format. Easy to use. Accurate. And always ready. What more can you ask for?

Okay, this is not a $100 digital trigger pull gauge. Don't expect it to be. It's plastic with a coat hanger and a spring, but that's all you're paying for. It does work, with a little futzing, and it's accurate enough for most casual users. The L-shaped pull is hard to attach on the trigger and spins freely as you make the pull. You will get different weights based on pulling near the top, middle or tip of a trigger so it's important to be consistent. A sharp bend with a pair of pliers and some friction tape make this stay put better. In addition, pay less attention to trigger pull shown and more to the differences in before and after working on a trigger. Take the average of multiple pulls to be the most accurate. If you're a professional (as in earning money from it) gunsmith, get a better, digital gauge. Otherwise this is a nice one to tinker with. And make sure the gun is unloaded when you use it. Please.

Mit etwas statistischem Können und den technischen Möglichkeiten, funktioniert die Abzugwaage einwandfrei. Nun ja, die Scala ist in Pfund (lb) und auf den ersten Blick stellt sich nicht in jedem Punkt eine erkennbare Relation zu Gramm her. Da mir in der Firma kalibrierte Gewichte zur Verfügung stehen, habe ich 7 Messpunkte von 500g bis 3500g aufgenommen und die durch ein Statistikprogramm gejagt um mir die Regression ausrechnen zu lassen. Ergebnis: die Waage ist um +/-2% genau. Da die wenigsten auf ein Statistikprogramm zugreifen können hier ein Tip: das kann inzwischen die Google KI. Einfach die im Editor vorbereitete Tabelle und Aufgabe ins Eingabefeld kopieren. Fertig! (die von mir ermittelte Formel könnte für meine Waage spezifisch sein, da die Randbedingungen variieren könnten, wie z.B. Klebeversatz der Skala, Schwankung in dem Verhalten der Feder) Fazit: für eine rein mechanische und zudem günstige Waage gibt das von mir eine absolute Kaufempfehlung und liefert mehr als nur einen groben Schätzwert. Über die Langzeitstabilität kann ich noch nichts sagen.
