I bought the Kristin Ess Fragrance Free Daily Cleansing Shampoo because I’ve been dealing with stubborn scalp sebum buildup, and I needed something that could truly cleanse without irritating my scalp. I did an overnight scalp oil treatment first, and the next morning I washed my scalp with this shampoo three times (because of the oil + buildup). I’m honestly impressed — it removed the sebum better than other shampoos I’ve tried, even after oiling. My scalp finally felt truly clean. For reference, I have very thick, long curly hair (3C–4A) with mixed curl patterns and some heat damage from mid-length to ends, so I’m careful with anything “clarifying.” Surprisingly, this shampoo cleaned extremely well without making my hair feel overly stripped, especially when paired with the Kristin Ess Fragrance Free Shine Enhancing Conditioner. I also love that it’s fragrance-free (a must for me), and the formula is vegan, paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, and silicone-free. A little goes a long way, and the price is great for the results. If you need a clean, fragrance-free clarifying shampoo that actually works, I highly recommend this one.

Has a good lather and leaves me feeling very clean. There is absolutely no scent which I love because it doesn't clash with the scents of my other products. I do use a very expensive conditioner for softening my hair afterwards, which is important because the shampoo leaves my hair feeling a bit stripped of moisture.

Great for sensitive skin but I got an unexpected bonus. Before switching to Kristin Ess, my hair was constantly shedding. I now see significantly fewer hairs on my clothing and my hair feels fuller and my scalp feels cleaner.

I love this shampoo. It's a clean, fragrance-free shampoo that's rated well on the EWG. It doesn't dry out my fine hair or weigh it down. It is on the pricey side.

I like the minimalistic and healthy ingredients, and that it's an unscented product. That said, it works for me about as well as any other shampoo I've used, so I guess that makes it good. My hair feels very clean and not dry after use.

It’s unscented but it has such a strong chemical smell that burns my nose? Also it has made my scalp so irritated and itchy. My scalp is so dry and flaky now. I will not be buying this again unfortunately.

Truly fragrance free shampoo that I can use daily and gets my hair really clean. After a big name company discontinued my original fragrance free shampoo. I have been hunting for an unscented shampoo that is not so natural that it doesn’t work. I wanted a traditional shampoo, not something made with a lot of Non-soap ingredients. This is really easy on my sensitive scalp.

The item arrived undamaged, but not clear. It is cloudy. Prior purchases have been clear.
