Looks Better in Person, Very Well Designed
The most surprising thing was how good it looks once it's assembled. The finish is really nice and the pictures online do not do it justice. It reflects and diffuses the light really nicely. The finish however is not durable. Mainly due to it being plywood. There are a couple places where the pieces got gouged by the cabinets during assembly, but you cannot see it. You'll probably also need to keep sharp metal or heavy metal objects off of your desk. Think about furniture made from a softwood like pine, but slightly less durable than that. However, for 200 dollars, it's a good purchase. While the assembly was definitely tedious, I was very impressed with the workmanship and how everything went together. It took probably 3-4 hours to assemble. But as a mechanical engineer, I've never seen a desk designed so well from an assembly & fasteners standpoint. Everything fit perfectly. The drawers can be adjusted easily and the door latches are also adjustable, so that the door doesn't sit crooked. All of the spring latches were also made from metal, rather than plastic and their spring force also feels quite sturdy. The unit was built IKEAesque, but it was surprisingly sturdy for plywood. Most of the pieces are 3/4 inch thick. The smaller pieces were still 1/2 plywood. As a fairly large man, I was unable to carry the box upstairs myself. Though I'd say it's a more than doable two person job.

Great for the price!
This desk turned out better than I expected. It feels sturdy once assembled, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took me around two hours to put together by myself. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about is the front panels they’re very thin cardboard. The center section pops out to help with airflow for your monitor, which is convenient, but the material feels a little cheap compared to the rest of the desk. Still, for the price, it’s a good value and works well for my setup.

Almost perfect for the price
I would have given this 5 stars but had to deduct one for the below CONs. This desk does look great and I am glad that I bought it. See pic of fully assembled/fixed (I will get around to cleaning up our cords...). My husband has long legs and he fits fine under this desk. PROs: - all bolts/etc were in a great package that separated and labeled each group of pieces. - most "wood" pieces were clearly labeled. Drawer sliders are too (except black ones that are used for the keyboard pull out) - just need to look (and counting the number of holes helps too). - assembly took a while but the instructions were clear. I did have a little help with flipping the desk to avoid scratching but otherwise I did it myself despite my "old" age (late 50's). CONs: - piece "J" was not marked - received a bent drawer slider (packed that way since shipping box was in great shape) [see pic] - drawer slider holes are not done well. Top drawer wound up being very tight to get in and thus wound up scratching the finish when jimmying drawer in. Bottom drawer holes were off about 1/4" on both sides so the drawer stuck out. [see pic] My fixes: used black Sharpie to color in scratches and drilled more drawer slider holes to line drawer up better. It looks good now.

Nice qulity desk for home use
The desk we are replacing, also made by Sauder is about 25 years old, it's starting to sag but that can be expected over that long of use. This desk is larger having storage on both ends. I had same issues as others reported concerning the drawer slides not being labeled well. The slides for the drawers are labeled with a code that matches the instructions but the slides for the keyboard shelf are not labeled. I had a problem with the upper drawer not wanting to fit into the desk when in the closed position at first. The front face can go on in two ways which puts more of it sticking up. After removing it and swapping it around only to find that was not the problem, I swapped it again and found if I loosened the front slid mount on each side of the drawer and let the drawer move lower in the front (rear not adjustable), than the drawer fit just fine. It was rubbing on the lower drawer but when I adjusted the lower drawer slides the same way both drawers fit just fine, they both look good with equal gaps all the way around. The storage door on the left was rubbing but adjusting the hinges to move the door further to the right solved that problem and looks good with equal gap all around. I did find 2 pieces that were not labeled, they were the panels the keyboard shelf slides mount to. Most pieces have stickers on them to identify the part, some have a printed mark on the edge of the part. Would be nice if the parts packaging had the test a little larger to make it easier to read. Be fore warned, get help to lift this package, Amazon driver brought it into my carport and I carried it into the house by myself and it is HEAVY !!! I got it into my kitchen than used a tool cart to move it into my living room. When lifting the desk after installing the back panels I had my neighbor help lift it with me as I did not want to put all the weight on the "feet" that mount to the front legs, there is only a screw holding them on. Being a computer desk would be nice if Sauder included a hole and grommet of some type in the top of the desk. Drawers are also not as deep as they could be as others have stated, I don't see any reason why the drawers could not go back further. Overall it's a nice looking desk, we bought the black finish. If it lastas half as long as our previous desk it will be well worth the cost.

This will take some time to put together but it's definitely worth it.
Before setting up: If you are on anti-anxiety meds, definitely make sure you've taken your dosage for the day. If you aren't on meds, you may want to have the chamomile tea or the tequila ready (although I recommend very small doses if you go the tequila route) Lay down some padding on the floor and make sure the desk is in the room you want to set up in. A ratchet screwdriver is a must have to complete this project. There are a *lot* of parts. Nah - plethora - a plethora of parts. The cool thing is that each set is individually package based on what you'll need for the instructions. But don't let all of this intimidate you. I put this together by myself and it took an afternoon and part of the next morning to finish. It is doable. It took a long time because I was double and triple checking to make sure I got it right. This is one of those items that if you mess it up on a step, you'll have trouble recovering. A few reviews mention that holes and parts don't fit together. If you find that to be the case, double check everything. All steps were easy to complete. All holes fit and there were no missing parts. I am proud of this desk. It's roomy, functional, and it just plain works. It looks expensive. A true "adulting" desk. And, you are using this for computer work, I would suggest getting a monitor stand that has a laptop ledge. It will help make your workspace more efficient. I would definitely recommend this desk.

Absolute ordeal to assemble, damaged in shipping, nice desk overall
First let me say, I am by no means an expert at assembling desks, but I don't consider myself a dumb person. I spent almost 9 hours to assemble this thing, due to confusingly labelled parts, and some really lazy design. There are roughly 30 gigantic pieces of wood in the box, around 12 metal rails, about 30 nails, and about 200 screws. When you unpack the box, you are dropped into this mess of parts, maybe 30% of which are not clearly labeled, and even among the ones that are labeled, they cut extra holes into them seemingly to add confusion. The legs in particular have holes cut into both ends, and it doesn't actually tell you which side you use matters until 5 steps later when you notice the ends of the table don't fit correctly and you have to take it apart to fix it. On top of all of this, certain parts are just terrible. There are these 2 'M' blocks that hang off the bottom front of the desk, I spent 15 mins trying to screw them in before I gave up, the parts they screw into just do not hold the wood tightly enough and they end up looking terrible and dangling off the bottom. The 'J' part was damaged in shipping, and now I have an ugly wooden piece sticking out from the black under the desk. Finally the top smaller drawer seems slightly too big if you screw in the front plate with the 4 pre-drilled holes. I ended up just unscrewing those screws since they don't matter that much, but it was just very poorly drilled. I also wish they actually labelled ALL the parts instead of just most of them, some of the screw labeling was really idiotic, they took completely unrelated screws and stuck them in the same bag, despite having empty bags for them elsewhere. Certain wooden parts look alike, or look symmetrical, and you end up guessing and reversing them later when some other piece doesn't fit correctly. I also just don't understand why they needed 30 different types of screws to build one desk. Overall, it's a very nice desk, and from far away it looks nice. It's just an ordeal to assemble and there are just some really poor design decisions.

Nice desk once complete.
This is a sharp looking desk. It arrived 5 days after placing my order on Saturday evening. It was packaged fairly well but could have been better, as there were loose pieces floating around inside the box that damaged the inside finishes on the drawer fronts. I repaired the minor damage after unpacking all the parts, cleaning them and bringing them into the house. Unpacking, vacuuming and cleaning all the parts took me over an hour. I pretty picky about things and like to start with a clean project. Assembly went pretty well, although the instructions could be better. In one step they show the parts arranged one way and in the next step them have the same parts reversed, which adds unnecessary confusion. I read plans for a living as well as provide detail drawings for our shop. I am also a very experienced do-it-yourselfer. Assembly took me close to 6 hours, not including clean up and putting my tools away. One of the things I do when putting this type of furniture together is touch up all miters, joints and finish seams such as around the edges of the top, drawers and doors. When complete this desk looks very nice. I built the utility cabinet, that matches this desk, a couple of weeks ago and was impressed by the quality of the hardware, fit and finish. The hardest part was the last drawer as I had to adjust the hardware to get the two drawers to line up perfectly. All in all it turned out very well. Time will tell how it holds up. The only negative I have is I wish this desk was 28" deep. I am farsighted and need my monitor about 2 feet away to see it well. I actually plan on extending the desk surface about 9", by putting in a continuous shelf, at the same level as the desk top.

This looks like a lovely desk
This looks like a lovely desk, and it is a good price. Sure, it's particle board (or MDF, or whatever; sawdust and glue) but I expected that. I was looking forward to having a desk where now I have a folding table. Alas, at step 7 of the assembly process, I discovered a weird thing about how they designed this unit. You know how most of this kind of furniture works, right? On one piece of wood, you screw in a metal post, and in the matching piece of wood you insert a cam lock. Push the two pieces together, turn the cam, and things are clamped tight. That's not how they chose to do 20 of the 32 cam locks in this desk (plus 2 additional "custom" cams for the privacy panel). They chose to use a system where the cam and the pin are placed on the SAME board, and when the matching board is placed against it, the cam is turned and the pin pulls through a plastic sleeve, creating a friction fit in the opposite hole. Not unlike a pop-rivet, but less secure by far. I can't even imagine why they would go to this asinine scheme, unless there were patent issues with the original cam lock system. This is minimally less effort to assemble, but far less secure. I was astounded and amazed, and not in a good way. However, on top of this their manufacturing quality is not up to par. A number (I haven't counted yet, but so far, 3 out of 4 tested) of holes are drilled wrong, so the pin doesn't go into the center of the cam's space, but hits the side of it. This means that the cam can't engage the pin at all. This desk was full of fail, and the especially good part is, Sauder doesn't do refunds or returns -- they can replace the defective parts (which are about half the parts of the desk), and that's it. Of course, this also doesn't address the insufficient and untenable method of fastening it together in the first place. I'm going to see if I can magic the parts into a semblance of a box and take advantage of Amazon's excellent return policy instead. You, however, can save yourself some heartache and avoid buying anything from Sauder, as their system of friction-fit pins for assembly is the worst thing I've seen in a long time.

It will take you at least an hour to put together, but it's very easy. Take your time and you will be happy with the results. The desk looks great.

Strong desk
Got this desk along time ago maybe like two years ago and now I’m writing a review because I have a lot of time on my hands but I store all my make up and the one side all my paperwork so it’s durable long lasting and very strong ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice desk but be prepared for a lengthy assembly.
Took a while to put this together but the results are good. Pretty much as advertised and looks good. Only issue I had was with assembly of the feet. The pre-drilled holes were just too small for the screws so I had to drill them out larger.
