Seems to kill the mold, the scent takes a while to dissipate
Mold has struck two vehicles of mine recently: an SUV and a travel trailer. I replaced the carpet in the SUV but before putting down the new carpet, I sprayed this liberally over all hard surfaces and just let it dry. I wanted to kill any spores that might be lurking underneath the old carpet. No new water has gotten in and all is well so far. For the travel trailer, I had a water leak from a fixture run under the carpet in the slide out area. I lifted up what I could so air could circulate and left it to dry for a few days. Open the door and get hit with the smell of mold. I steam cleaned the carpet and then immediately sprayed Sporicidin on all of the carpet. Put a fan on it, ensured lots of open windows and by the next day, all was dry. After closing the camper back up and checking a few days later, the smell of Sporicidin was still quite strong so I vacuumed the carpet and that has helped. It is still present in the air but better. I do not like strong scents, and Sporicidin does not use flowery fragrances. In fact, they may use none at all, and that's just how the chemicals smell. Just don't spray it and expect to be in it the next day if you heavily saturate something. Clean/vacuum after fully dried.

use in a well ventilated area
this stuff is strong and powerful and it will do what it is made for. My son did a stupid and used our bathroom to grow fungus and mildew so we had to get it under control quick. This did the job. The only downside was that it made the bathroom unusable for some time. Have you ever opened a new shower curtain and found that it made your lungs bleed and your eyes burn? Maybe an exaggeration but you get the idea. Well, after this stuff finally clears out -- the bathroom smells like that. But the fungus and mildew are dead. You just have to clean off the stains afterwards. I don't recommend using this to actually CLEAN like you would use 409 or some other household cleaner. This is a good knock-down agent which is what we bought it for.

Product is phenomenal, the spray bottle sucks
Product itself cleans great. I travel a lot for work and tend to bunk in areas that have a lot of traffic (military stuff) so I use this on the bedding so I don't end up bringing home unwanted funguses. I don't know exactly how well it works, but I can say that I haven't gotten infected where I've watched others around me catch stuff. Pros Seems to work Strong cleaning smell akin to what a hospital smells like (could be a con) Cons My bottle leaked BAD. Lost all my product because it tipped over in the car and now my car smells like a mobile er. Will buy more, just not in their spray bottle.

Smell is way too strong
I read reviews of this being used in the HVAC ductwork system. I do not recommend as the odor is so strong, I cannot turn my heat on, even after 5 days of trying to air it out.

I used this after removing mildew smelling carpet from my car (3 gallons of water had spilled on the carpet and didn't get cleaned up immediately, hence the mildew smell). I sprayed it on the bare floor pans of the car to kill all mold/mildew spores and let it sit for ten minutes, per the directions, before wiping it up. I then replaced my car carpet. My car no longer smells of mildew and I'm assured that no mold will grow again due to Sporicidin. Per suggestions from other reviewers, I may try this for shower mildew as well.
