Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Diagon Alley and Beyond

Nice book, packed well and in good condition. Only problem was long time shipping, seven weeks.

Just fabulous!!! I have given Matthew Reinhart's Hogwarts & his Game of Thrones pop-up books and EVERYONE fought over them. These books not only have layer after layer of pop-up goodies on every PAGE BUT they open up into 3D dioramas. ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!! The engineering that went into each of them will blow your mind. WOW!!!

Really beautiful! I bought this for my daughter when I couldn’t afford the lego set. Turns out she LOVES this book, it’s really beautiful and has lots of little surprises. It’s magical for sure!

Really a great gift for Harry Potter fans

There’s something to be said for the complexity and artistry of this book. This is the fourth Matthew Reinhart pop-up book I’ve purchased (the others were Frozen, Lego, and Hogwarts), and although this is just as beautiful as the others, it is by far the most delicate. One day after getting it, I tore one of the pop-ups—and all I did was flip the page. It’s trickier to flip through than the others since I think it’s meant to be stood up with all the pages open simultaneously. Whereas with the Hogwarts pop-up book, for example, it can be unfolded and opened like a big poster but can still be flipped through like a traditional book. And although that’s technically possible with this book, it’s pretty clunky and easy to tear if you try to flip through it.

I have every pop up book by Reinhardt, Reinhardt/Sabuda, & almost all of Sabuda. This one’s as good as it gets! Please read instructions before opening. Pop ups this complicated are fragile and need to be opened with care. I am an adult collector and I also purchase books for my 2 adult daughters & families. Because of expense and intricacies, I don’t recommend these for younger children without adult supervision. I never get tired of looking at my collection or displaying and reading them to my students. Diagon Alley is certainly at least one of the best. Worth every penny!! Always excited to see what the next one will be!!

This pop up book is amazing. My young Harry Potter fan loves it. When fully open it’s close to 4’ long. To my surprise, there is a little pocket inside that has paper figures of all the characters. As advised by another reviewer, read the instructions before opening. We initially thought we could figure it out on our own. However, it helped out a lot reading the instructions for the first time. Given the details and all the moving parts, this book was worth every penny. I’m quite happy with this purchase!

My 29 year old teenager loved this book for Christmas… beautifully constructed and a visual delight

Es muy precioso. A los fans de Harry Potter, como es mi hija, les encantará. Con muchísimos detalles y fácil de desplegar y plegar, aunque yo mire algún video por internet porque no sabía cómo desplegar una parte del autobús. La única pega es que no se puede tener desplegado muchos días, porque ocupa mucho espacio (prácticamente toda una mesa) No pongo fotos porque creo que no le hace justicia.

Having most of the pop up books from Matthew Reinhart I can assure you that it is the most complex and most beautiful book he has ever created to this day. Even though it is really fragile in terms of quality of paper and must be handled with a lot of care, it's quite a little masterpiece. You cannot help but be in full "WOW" mode while looking at every surprises in every pages. Recommended to anyone who loves or collect, like me, pop up books or of course avid fans of Harry Potter!

In questo volume dedicato a Diagon Halley e dintorni Reinhart come sempre dimostra la sua ineguagliabile maestria di creatore di pop-up, elevando e conducendo quest'arte a livelli difficilmente imitabili. Ogni pagina stupisce per la minuziosa complessità. E quasi spaventa. Un volume certo da collezione ma che in mani poco avezze, è destinato a durare poco. Reinhart crea un qualcosa che esula dal semplice"libro per bambini" e che necessiterà della guida di un adulto per durare nel tempo intatto. Indiscutibilmente scenografico e immenso. Cinque stelle meritatissime anche per il pregevole cofanetto cartonato di questa eccellente edizione.
