Hands down, this is the finest candle I've ever had the pleasure of owning! That irresistible, natural scent of freshly baking bread is simply my all-time favorite aroma, and since I'm not a baker by trade or hobby, I'd always felt completely stumped about how to bring that comforting fragrance into my home. I remember last year, I stumbled upon a vanilla-pretzel candle from a different brand, and I absolutely fell in love with it, but unfortunately, it's been discontinued, leaving me heartbroken, therefore, I was absolutely THRILLED when I discovered this candle; it truly, and I mean truly, captures the essence of baking bread! Honestly, anyone who claims otherwise clearly has some serious olfactory issues! The moment I light this candle, it instantly transforms my entire house into the coziest, most inviting space imaginable. The scent projection/throw is absolutely phenomenal – it fills the entire room with that warm, comforting aroma. Beyond the incredible fragrance, it also burns remarkably slowly and cleanly, without leaving any unsightly wax residue on the sides of the jar. There's absolutely no wasted wax, which means this candle provides an incredibly long-lasting and delightful experience. You most definitely get a tremendous amount of value for your money with this candle – it's an investment in pure, unadulterated happiness and coziness.

Great aroma so far, i accidentally bought this candle, i normally avoid village candles because they normally dont smell like what they advertise and they normally dont smell very good. This candle is an exception. Normally i would stick with Yankee, but this buttered bread candle gets an exception.

I love candles with food scents, so I thought for sure I would love this candle, and I do like it, but it is a little unusual. When I first opened it, I thought it smelled a bit sour, and with a faint odor of smelly feet, lol. After I lit it, and the scent really started filling the room (it has great throw), it smelled more and more like beer. I assume the yeast scent in it is what's giving it that unusual sour, smelly feet, beer smell. After leaving it lit for a while, it began smelling more like homemade bread dough...the dough though, not the finished baked bread. So if you like the yeasty smell of un-baked bread dough, you will absolutely love and adore this candle's scent. But it is not a scent everyone will like. It is definitely a unique scent that I've grown to appreciate after having it lit for a few hours every evening. If you buy it, burn it a few times before making a decision on it. I would have tossed it when I initially smelled it, but I like it after giving it some time. I probably wouldn't give this candle's particular scent as a gift, unless it was a gift for a baker.

Yankee Candle=Great quality...this particular scent is wonderful, just like a bakery! I give it four stars because of the packaging (no fault of Yankee Candle) apparently Amazon thinks you can put a glass candle in a cardboard box ship it without any packing material...not once but twice! Buyer beware!

Been really into burning lots of candles this winter to embrace the coziness of the season, after I stumbled on the Scottish idea of “coorie,” cousin to the more-viral Danish “hygge.” So I’ve bought a lot of candles, many sizes and many different brands - and Village Candle stands out as the best brand to me. The candles are big and last a really long time, honestly pretty affordable for how long they last and the fact that they are very good burning quality (unlike some other brands where the wax swallows the wick halfway down the candle and you have to try to dig it out). All the flavors I’ve gotten have been great too - but omg I’m obsessed with this buttery bread one haha! Have you ever eaten a buttered popcorn flavor jellybean? Basically like that. I love it. Also really love the maple butter and the pumpkin scarecrow! Really enjoyed some of the seasonal Christmas ones too for myself, plus this holiday I got some different flavors of the candles along with sweet treats for gifts and people loved them. I also really like that it’s a small company based in Maine. Five stars, please don’t ever go out of business you guys bc I really love these candles a lot!! <3

First candle was a melted mess. The 2nd (and 3rd, 4th) were in great condition. They all smell like bread, not yeast, but bread. I lean over all the time to smell the scent, it's so freaking good

This is a very unique scented candle and is able to produce a total mimic of a fresh baguette smell. It's also surprisingly powerful.
