Has anyone used this steamer to steam juice fresh tomatoes?

Yes. It works fantastically for that. The only thing is that the juice will be clear. If you want it red. Dehydrate the tomato and grind it into a powder. Blend it into the juice until you get the color you want.

Basically, it’s the same question I have for all the models of steam juicers. What keeps the hose from melting while extracting juices?

It does not melt while extracting juice because it is made of high temperature-safe silicone. Most food grade silicone tubing is safe from 260 degrees Farenheidt to as much as 500 degrees Farenheidt. Just clip the tubing while juicing to an upper handle away from burners and you'll be fine.

I see the product weight and shipping weight is same, which is a wrong info. So what is the actual weight of the product?

The assembled juicer out of the box weighs 10 lbs 6.5 oz. Because of the 1/2" steel induction plate on the stock pot, it's the heaviest piece at just a hair over 5 lbs. The lid weighs 1 lb 4 oz.
