Best Pruners on Market
I have used these pruners for 20+ years. They are the best pruners made for clipping and snipping all leafy shrubs (like boxwwod etc,), cutting flowers and clipping grass. They cut just about everything 1/4" or less effortlessly. They are much more lightweight and comfortable than all other brands of this type of pruner on the market. No more sore or tired wrists. They last forever.

My go-to carry around pruner
This is my second ARS Pruner purchase after misplacing my original ones. Well built, strong enough to maintain edge contact during cutting with sufficient mechanical advantage for me in a smaller carry around size. Reasonably priced.

Made in Vietnam (and not Japan), but still very high quality ARS pruners
These "needle nose" pruners are very nice for what I paid - twelve bucks. Let me start of by stating my disappointment that they were made in Vietnam instead of Japan. In fact, the manufacturer's box they came in had an inventory sticker over the "Made in" location (maybe by coincidence) and as I peeled it back, it clearly indicated that it was Made in Vietnam by ARS. That said, I must say that the quality is top notch - very nicely finished, very sharp edge (as expected from ARS products), and the handles have this nice built in loop to keep the spring bound handles in the closed position. So, I'm going to give these 5 Stars for the price point. EDIT -- I was very happy with these ARS Vietnam-made pruners when I first received, at the low price I purchased them at, but now after having them for many months, I'm dropping my score to 4 stars. They simply do not deserve 5 stars. The blades started to corrode so much that I had to use naval jelly rest preventer on them. They're still a decent choice for the price, but the fact these aren't made in Japan and the rust issue, and the fact that they really aren't materially better than a cheaper set of Corona pruners, they don't deserve the 5 star review I had previous granted them.

Fits in your pocket and works great
Just the thing to carry in a gardener's pocket. Spring loaded- so easier on your hands and the blades don't get stuck together. Not for lopping but very useful for all kinds of pruning. The handle closure at the bottom is not that easy to get on and off but keeps the weight and price down.

A year later, still loving these
These are surprisingly sharp and effective for such a lightweight and small pruner. I've tried several pair of Fiskars pruners as comparison, and much prefer the ARS design. Occasionally I come up a woody Mullein plant with a stem too big for these ARS, maybe 1/2 inch width, and then I need the Fiskars with the bigger opening. But other than that these are the ones I carry out to the field ... and they don't give me a thumb blister like the Fiskars pruners do. I have not had to sharpen them yet, and they've had lots of use - probably over 5000 cuts so far.

Good Tool
This inexpensive $13 ARS needle nose pruner is actually quite good. It is manufactured in Vietnam with materials sourced from Japan.

Favourite snips for cut flowers
I now own 6 ARS needle nose pruners and have no regrets! 6 pairs of snips may seem excessive but when you make tens of thousands of cuts in a growing season, having snips that stay sharp, and a spring that stays in place and does the job well is worth a lot. I’ll probably add another couple pairs next year. The only thing that would make the snips better is if replacement straps for binding the handles could be purchased.

Honest Review
Razor, love the long and narrow cut it provides. Learnt my lesson with the other ARS pairs I got and to make sure they get wiped dry after every session at the minimum. With proper maintenance I think these will go very far. Just be careful to not cut anything too thick or solid, you will definitely make a dent if you do so ruining your blade, this is purely for the small and precious and it is perfect for it. Highly recommend. The only thing I would say is, this particular pair is made in Vietnam whereas my other ARS tools are made in Japan. Still does the job
