I have been using various Brickell’s products and have been very satisfied with them. I really like their body wash and facial products. This is the second hairstyling product I have tried and overall it’s a nice product. I do prefer it over the hair powder I have tried but only because this styling clay fits my morning routine better. Below are some final thoughts: Pros - Easy to apply. It spreads through the hair easily and a little goes a long way. - Nice hold. It holds the hair in place nicely without being crunchy. It has a nice natural feel - Organic ingredients. It does make the hair feel soft and healthy. On days where I haven’t done much physical activity I will simply rinse my hair with water and my hair isn’t greasy. Cons - Wished it were more matte in the finish. It provides a little shine but it is not like a high shine gel. - Needs to provide a little more texture to the hair. It isn’t my go to product but I will continue mixing it in my rotation as I do like how my hair feels with it.

Top quality ingredients. Great subtle smell. Overall, excellent. The consistency of the product is definitely that of clay. Apply strategically to wet hair for a more sculpted hold, rub between dry palms and add a little bit of water to spread more uniformly throughout hair. Overall application is pretty easy once you get used to it in, depending upon how you want to utilize the product. Smells a little like something you might find at a hardware store, but not in an unpleasant way. Definitely subtle, and suggesting of good ingredients with no added fragrance or coloring. Even the quality of the ingredients, the size you receive is decent, and depending on how much you use of course, can last quite a while. I will say a little bit goes a long way. At least it did for me. The hold of the product I’d say is medium. It’s not crunchy or crispy like hair gel, but more pliable and stable throughout the entire day. Leaves less of a shine and more of a matte finish and I will say after a week of use, hair seemed to have more volume and was healthier. Rinses out relatively easy, but would recommend utilizing a good clarifying shampoo once in a while, as the product does build up a little bit with repeated use. Would purchase again. Even with the smaller size, given the quality of the ingredients I felt like I got quite a bit for my money. Update February 2026. Love this. I have ordered 2 more. I really like the fragrance of this. It's masculine, but not musky. It's more of a piney/herbal quality. It reminds me of walking into a high-end spa. I like the matte finish so it looks clean and not greasy, and the hold is stiff but not tacky, and still workable by running my fingers through to give it some texture. Also works to tame the flyaways in my beard.

Since I have used a couple other Brickell products and thought they were quite good (especially their Element Defense SPF45 Moisturizer for Men), I thought I would give this styling product a shot. Overall, I like it a lot. I would say it is a medium-high hold, but does not hard at all. It is easy to get the proper amount out and spread between your hands, not too hard like some clays can be, or sticky. It is truly between a pomade and a clay, not hard like some clay products, but also not greasy like a typical pomade You only need to use a small amount to get decent hold. As described, it is a matte finish and does not add much shine to your hair. I think it does add a slightly thickened look to your hair when applied. The scent is very subtle, maybe slightly minty or piney -- it won't conflict with other scents if you wear cologne or etc. I would say I could actually go for a little stronger scent sometimes, sometimes it's nice, but no issues with this being so lightly fragranced. It doesn't have any weird or chemical smell -- definitely better not to smell a product than to smell it too much. Anyway if you are looking for a fairly strong but still pliable hold, and don't want something with a strong scent, this might be a good option for you.
