Durable, roomy, and functional
These shorts are amazing!!! The construction and durability will last me years to come!!!I purchased these for yoga as I tend to use room shorts that don’t get in the way with compression shorts underneath. These now doubt allow me to move through my maximum mobility. I’m 5’11 and 145lbs and I purchased these in a small. The crotch was way too small and would fit better on my wife. I’m returning these but ordered the mediums and they fit PERFECTLY!!!! Pockets are a great addition for when I walk home and want to put my keys and phone away.Regardless of size, if your looking for a good pair of rugby, yoga, workout short, etc. look no further.

Real shorts for the gym (vs basketball)
I found these and the Gilbert rugby shorts here on Amazon. These are what I think of when I think 'gym shorts". Everything today is like the strange basketball fashion where the shorts go down to the knees or lower. Not only do I want freedom of movement but I work hard on my legs and and don't mind showing off the hard work! These shorts are really good. I did flip them inside out and discovered a number of loose threads that were clipped and could have caused mischief later on. Compared to Gilbert I would give them four stars since they are bit lighter in material but that might be great in warmer climates. But I add a star for decent pockets and a good price. Oh and the brand is sewn into the left leg and not a "heat transfer" label. Nice! I wear a 36 and followed instructions and bought a 38. Smart. If they had a 40 I might snag those. They do run a bit tight so order a size up unless you're a bean pole.

Large runs small, despite what the listing says
Ordered these for my son, and they were quite small. They were tight when he was standing, and they cut into his leg, when he lifted his leg. Anyone trying to play rugby in these would have trouble moving or would injure their private parts. They’re that tight. They are well made, though, and they’re made of a heavy canvas cloth that should hold up well to rugby play. So, we just ordered a size up.

I've been looking for solid rugby shorts for awhile and these fit the bill. I've only worn it once so far but it feels durable so far. Has decent pockets but the draw string was a bit haggard. As if it went through the wash and was pulled on severally. Will update as the days go by. Hoping for years of use since I'm merely working out with them rather than playing Rugby.Edit/Update:Although I was hoping that these would be extremely durable, they have already ripped slightly on the backside. I do deep squats in these and was hoping that wouldn't happen. I don't know if I just need to find stretchy atheletic shorts or if these weren't particularly well made.

Durable shorts
I bought these for use in the gym rather than playing actual rugby. It's a bit sung and a little too high cut on the thigh but that's just a personal preference due to experience with longer shorts. As it stands the shorts are durable, have deep pockets and fit a 32-34 inch waist well. Good all around work out shorts although running in them can be a bit uncomfortable until you get used to them, especially if you'r used to longer inseam shorts. If you are looking for a less baggy, good gym shorts these are a good bet.

Runs small, durability questionable.
Came in to small, gave them to a friend. He wore them for a squat workout and they ripped within the first 5 sets.

Product is well made
Product is well made. If you wear a 34, I would get a large, not medium. Then again, some items I wear a 32, others a 34. These seem to run small for a 34. I will return for a size large. Other than size, this product is exactly what I am looking for, thick stitching and heavy fabric for rigorous wear.
