As a backyard chicken keeper with a small flock of eight hens, I'm always looking for quality feed. The 16% protein level is ideal for laying hens, and the addition of oyster shells for calcium means I don't need to supplement separately, which is awesome. It's made my feeding routine for my girls just a little bit easier. The 10lb bag is perfect for small flocks but goes quickly. People with more than 10 chickens would need to buy in bulk, which could get pricey. Wholesome Harvest delivers on its promise of premium, holistic nutrition for laying hens. While the price and small bag size won't work for everyone, backyard chicken keepers who prioritize quality will find this feed excellent.

This stuff is great, my hens really love it. Especially when it’s fermented for a couple days, the only thing is it’s way too expensive! I found a local farmer that sells the same stuff in a 50 pound bag for 14 bucks a bag.

PERFECT QUALITY EVERYTIME ***** 7th purchase. So I tried saving money and buying cheap regular feed. Ladies hated me. Hen pecked. Then bought a local organic brand. Still ladies hen pecked me. Those feeds caused aggresion and lil egg laying. The money i wasted and lack of production. Made me come back to this company! Ultra premium feed. Do your family a favor. Invest into quality feed, happy ladies, and quality eggs. I suggest fermentation. It doubles the volume adds beneficial microbes and will ultimately save the money I tried saving from garbage brands. Edit: 6 plus purchases. Outside of a horrible animal break into our coop. (Which sadly we lost 3 family ladies) This is incredible feed. You will be blown away about the strength of the egg shells. Clean. Poop stink free excrement. When i change and clean poop. Literally little to no foul smell. First off. This is my third purchase. Every time order was shipped same day or next day.
