Well made, nice to hold an great ink flow
I love the feel of the Kaweco brass fountain pen in my hand, when posted. I have a medium for some years now and wanted to try the BB. This new BB is also a great sized nib for me. I use fountain pens mostly for drawing and mixed media paintings. The BB size gives a lot of ink, not too much, not too little, for what I need it to do in drawing/painting. This will show more of the variations an ink color has to offer, which is beautiful to me. One interesting thing (which I do not recommend) is that my medium fountain pen was forgotten for a while, and left with ink in it for months. When I came across it, I thought it was going to be a rescue mission. To my surprise, it wrote from the first touch to the paper. That was a nice surprise! It’s great quality and will likely outlive me. Most importantly for me, though, is that I really enjoy using it. I have other Kaweco products, such as the Sketchup 5.6 mechanical lead holder and the 2 mm lead holder. They are all prized among my favorite art supplies. I love the weight of the brass. My hand does not tense up as it does with some lighter weight plastic fountain pens that I have. I like well made goods and Kaweco certainly makes well made and durable tools.

My daily workhorse
The Kaweco Brass Sport is built to last and has become my daily workhorse that goes everywhere with me, featuring a robust build, a screw-on cap that protects the nib, and a comfortable grip with a precise and pleasant writing experience (EF nib).

Fantastic Kaweco Sport Pen — Beefy!
As someone who has used a "normal" Kaweco Sport (the plastic-y version) for a couple of years, this was definitely worth it. This pen is made out of real metal (and there is some thickness to the metal) so it has some decent heft to it. The cap posts nicely, though it requires a bit more pressure to get it to seat tightly and stay put. The nib is a true Extra Fine and the feed flows smoothly without wasting ink. Overall, the balance (both with and without the cap posted) feels just about right to me, and the extra weight actually gives good feedback to help you write without pressing as firmly as you might with lighter pens. One of my chief gripes with the plastic-y Kaweco Sport was its weight (or lack thereof) — this pen is definitely a lot more substantial, and I like that. However, if your hands aren't as used to moving around this much weight, it might be more fatiguing. For me, it feels just right. The brass does collect fingerprints / lose its brilliance over time. It's brass. If you want it to be shiny, you'll probably have to polish and care for it, but personally I love the look of it as it gets slightly dulled. Overall, it's a fantastic pen. If you love the normal Kaweco Sport but you wish it was made out of metal and had more substance to it, then this is the pen for you.

A sensory delight
Love this little guy. I was already the happy owner of two kaweco sport pens, one M and one B, that I have used relentlessly since 2020. I wanted something a bit more classy not that I have become an older and more sophisticated person. I love the feel and the weight of this brassy guy, even its smell is appealing to me. And the idea that it will develop a patina, ah, cannot wait.

A fantastic, tough, high quality EDC brass fountain pen.
My #1 every-day carry (EDC) pen for the last several weeks. I’m quite fond of this Kaweco. I have a black plastic Kaweco Sport for years, and I really liked it. After eyeballing the brass Sport for months, I finally bought it and WOW! It was worth the wait! Comfortable with a very satisfying weight. I looks great and has taken on a nice patina. No leaks. Reliable. Considering the quality, it’s a great value for the cost. Minus one star because the stock nib I received (the chrome EF in the photos) was a bit scratchy with poor ink flow. The first Sport I got (the black one in the photos) has the same nib and works great, so I think I just got a bad one… luck of the draw. I replaced it with a premium gold-plated M (medium) nib and the results have been spectacular. Silky smooth, fantastic ink flow. ✍️ I’ve included some close-ups of each nib. You can see there is a distinctive disagree in point geometry between the chrome standard EF nib and the gold-plated premium M nib. For comparison, I included a few photos of the gold plated stock M nib that is on my plastic Kaweco Sport which has tip geometry different from the other two. The stock M works quite well, but the premium M is noticeably better. It comes in a nice Kaweko tin cleverly designed to hold a single or a pair of Sports. This Kaweco Brass Sport arrived clean and shiny- the patina you see is after 2-3 months of daily pocket carry and daily use. I added the bronze clip. No clip is included with the pen itself. Overall, I’m very happy with this pen. It feels nice in the hand for folks who like the weight. If you prefer something lighter, the plastic Sport is featherweight and a very nice pen in its own right. Despite to scratchy nib issue, I HIGHLY recommend this pen.

Best in class. Might be the EDC grail pen.
I started collecting fountain pens during the pandemic and have acquired all sorts of low, medium and high end fountain pens from your basic TWISBI to Montblanc. As an EDC pen, I’ve used Parker Sonnets and Lamy Al Stars. I lean toward medium nibs, but ordered this in the Fine nib hoping the extra weight of the brass would add a little pressure and also knowing that German and French pens run a bit juicier than Japanese (I have several Pilots and find the fine nibs to be pretty scratchy). This writes like a dream. I can use it on almost any paper, from Moleskine 80gsm to fancy Tomoh River paper or simple 100gsm Paperage journals. No ghosting. No feathering. And it looks so classy in the brass. I have probably a dozen other Kaweco Sports and none of them disappoint, but this one is by far the best and cannot believe I waited this long to buy one. I added a clip (stainless steel) that I nicked from one of my other Kaweco Sports to match the nib. It does not come with a clip or a converter, but mine did come with a blue ink cartridge. This will get tons of use from journaling to product sketches and will be my new EDC. If you want a wonderful writing fountain pen, under $100 this is a class act and I cannot recommend it highly enough other than to say this might just be my grail pen. Shipping was fast, item was well packaged and I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Grace, beauty, experience & pride ...Thanks a lot.
Nice pen with very smooth writing. I collect many pens and this has already one of my favourites. I have taken the silver model also in broad nib. For writing in diaries fine nib is good, for signatures & casual drawing & writing, broad one is a blessing kind of thing. Thanks for making such a beautiful thing. Purchased broad nib from stationery physically, as it was not available online. That one is also awesome. Brilliant product.

At cebe gitsin.
