No. The scorpion set (5015) comes WITH the frame and all the parts to make it look like the picture there. It is great. Apparently, you can just buy the frame separately if you would like to deck one out one differently with your own LEGOs or similar building blocks. FYI, Mechaframe building blocks are the only non-LEGO building blocks that I would say are on-par with actual LEGOs. Mechaframes are fantastic!
