Nice starter bar
Good size and strong enough for the weights I use (deadlifting max around 220# with this bar). The one collar has limited spin where it locks up after about 1.5 rotations or so, which adds extra pressure to your forearms and such when trying olympic lifts. Oddly, the other collar still spins just fine. Overall, great space saver, hard to beat the price, but at the same time not the best quality.

Exceptional value.
This is truly an exceptional value. I was a bit skeptical about condition and shipping time, given the price, but this bar arrived VERY quickly and in wonderful condition. No jagged sections, nothing half colored or crappily finished. It was very consistent in its black, along the bar, and the ends are very clean and fine. It comes fully assembled, not needing to be put together with pins in the middle (which always end up wearing out). I've already been using it for a week and its delightful. It holds some serious weight, does not bow or bend. Very high quality for the asking price. I will certainly look to Ader Sporting Goods for future weight lifting needs.

black coating flakes off
Black covering is peeling off and making a huge mess. Don't buy this product it is rubbish.

Great space saver Olympic bar
No complaints. The bar is 6 feet long, but is 50 3/4 inches between the collars (advertised as 52 inches), so it will fit any olympic sized bench, or power cage just fine. The only "draw back" then would be that you can't put on so many plates, and then the collar. But it still fits at least 4 of the 45 plates on each side, plus a spring type collar with no problem. So that is 360 lbs of plates, plus the bar is 31 pounds. You could probably slip on a 5th plate, but then you may be cutting it close for room, plus the bar has a 500 lb limit. Its perfect for most guys who work out at home, but have limited space.

It will do the job. Knurling is poor.
Bar seems solid. The end of the collars could be machined tighter because they do wobble a bit. My biggest complaint is the knurling is very uneven. It is sufficent for about 2" on one side and practically non-existent on the other side. This bar will get the job done and the dimensions are good for space-saving. Maybe at this price you get what you pay for but I'd say it just ok overall.

Good bar
The bar is very sturdy and it feels solid. I use it for bench-press, dead-lifts, and power-lifts and it feels good.

It is unstable at the ends due to poor craftsmanship. Very disappointing
I've been in the fitness industry for 25 years. I've used and purchased many types of barbells over that time. The majority of my bars at the club I own are 7' and weigh 45 pounds. I needed a lighter, shorter bar for woman to use. This bar is without a doubt the poorest quality I have ever come across. It is unstable at the ends due to poor craftsmanship. Very disappointing!Don RobertsFitness Solutions 24/7Durango, Colorado

Good 6' bar for beginners and novices
About a month ago I decided to take the jump and buy this barbell so I could start doing the Ice Cream Fitness program. The most weight I've used with it so far is 120 lbs. I had to drop it once when I failed one of my reps squatting and it seems to hold up fine. For beginner and novice users I would say its a good option for the price.
