Does the suaoki u28 work with stop start batteries?

Yes.    I own a 2018 Honda which is fitted with a stop start battery and bought this item as a backup.  I bought this as its jump start current is greater than most with a 1000 amp starting current (most cars starter current draw is between 250 and 300 amps so plenty in reserve - some similar jump starters are around 400 amps so if not fully charged may struggle or fail to start).  on the market and has some really good features one of which is it can be charged from the cars cigarette lighter on the move.  It also has the force start feature meaning you can start from a totally flat battery, other packs need some voltage in the battery for the jump starter to work.  A little more expensive than some but as the saying goes you get what you pay for  hope this helps.

How long do they last in terms of the actual batteries due to them being li ion they tend to fail after so long.

Regarding the lion battery in this unit only time will tell how long it will last but lion batteries normally have no memory so do not lose their capacity as such.   I have own a Makita drill with a lion battery for years  and it is still going strong with plenty of power that lasts.   The lion battery in this unit is recommended to be charged every month.  I have charged mine after the first month and it was still showing 100 per cent charge - only when i plugged the charger in the 100 per cent charge light started to flash and it took around 3/4 hour for the light to go solid so fully charged.    Hope this helps.   I am pleased with the u28 as it is one of the most powerful in the market for its size, will override for a completely flat or no battery, can be charged from the cigarette lighter socket in your car  and has all the attachments needed.    Great power pack in my opinion.

Will this jump start a bmw 6.5 litre v12 engine with dead battery?

My suv is a merc v6.4 ltr, I deliberately flattened the battery 3 or 4 times without recharging the unit , hardly used any power, started 1st time, I think it will, if you’re battery is really really flat you would need to put the pin ( like an iPhone sim holder)in the hole, make sure you start it I’d say within 20 seconds, otherwise it will switch it self off,if it does, take the clips off the battery, but back on again then repeat, but faster this time, I think it will started mine really easy, all the best, hope it’s helped.
