I recently installed the Schlage F60 Century Front Entry Handleset with Latitude Lever in matte black, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. The design is clean, modern, and instantly elevated the look of my front door—it’s one of those upgrades that makes a bigger impact than you expect. What really stood out to me is the build quality. I really like this set. It was easy to install (according to my handyman). The lock works smoothly. My old (but not that old Shlage was a piece of 💩 . I had to use copious amounts of WD-40 to be able to unlock it. It looks really nice on my front door. I really like the style. It updated my door.

The lock and handle is attractive and sturdy. It is not as expensive as some of the other options but it is just as good. Easy to install

Great upgrade for my front door! This handleset adds a clean, modern look and was fully compatible with my previous Schlage handleset. Installation was very straightforward. I was able to reuse several of the existing components from my old front door lock, which made the process much quicker and easier overall—perfect if you're replacing an existing handleset. The only downside (removing a star) is that it doesn’t have a rekeyable or self-rekeying feature like my previous lock. Because of that, I now have to carry separate keys for my garage and main entry, which is a bit inconvenient. Overall, still a solid choice if you’re looking for a stylish and easy-to-install front door lock upgrade.

Handle set is great quality and easy to install. I purchased my house with a door that was original, from 1972. The knob of course was also original, which meant the door knob bore hole was only 3/4” in width. As most know, the common size of a bore hole is 1 1/2” to 2 1/8” so I had to come up with a solution to bridge the gap between the deadbolt and the door knob which were set approximately 15” apart. Luckily, I was able to find a handle set that would not only look great, but would suffice in working with a preexisting small bore hole. About the handle & lock: Make sure when installing the deadbolt to turn the lock slightly as to not scratch the metal with the screwdriver. Prior to fully tightening the lock and handle use a level to make sure the two plates, both exterior and interior, are aligned and squared up. It’s a simple step but really makes a difference when done. For those that only have to create the bottom bore hole: Do not over think the distance between the top handle bore hole and bottom handle bore hole as the post for the bottom adjusts 1 1/2”. The post slides up and down to appropriately account for adjustments needed in length. The most important thing to note is the bottom bore hole needs to be directly under the handle bore hole to the ensure a symmetrical line. For those who need to drill out the lock and/or handle bore holes: I researched extensively online prior to taking on this task as I knew I would need to drill into a solid oak door. I found many videos and helpful tutorials online but nothing was remotely as helpful as using the Ryobi door install kit. This tool is amazing, and guarantees perfectly aligned bore holes. It’s roughly $21 and ensures you would won’t end up with a ruined door and out $500+. I highly recommend this handle set.

Very impressed with quality of product and ease of installation. Used to replace existing handle and deadbolt. Aesthetically impressive with it’s clean lines and simplicity. Found Schlage’s video on their website very helpful but detail is lacking in some areas. Therefore, use written instructions to complement video to show how some parts adjust to existing drill holes to enhance effectiveness. Key: ensure measurements are accurate to avoid drilling new holes. I do (did) not have any experience with such things, but with watching the video a couple of times prior to attempting replacement and stopping and starting video throughout installation (slow learner) and observations of an astute friend (built in adjustments within the unit such as length of deadbolt) it was a rewarding undertaking. If I can do it, you most certainly can!

Bought this lockset in 2020 and installed it for just over a year when the deadbolt became faulty and the lock actually separated from the cylinder with the key inside. I contacted Amazon customer service who would only accept the return after deducting a "restocking fee" = $40 less than I paid for the product. There was no warranty available on the product as per the customer service representative I spoke to. Left me scrambling to purchase a new lock ASAP in order to secure my door. Buyer beware purchasing products like this from Amazon - they do not stand behind the product if faulty and may leave you with little options in a pinch to keep your door secure.
