I use this specifically for braiding and cornrows on my natural hair and it has honestly become a staple in my hair routine. The texture is really smooth and easy to work with, not too thick that it’s hard to distribute through the hair and not too thin that it doesn’t grip properly, it hits that perfect middle ground that makes braiding so much easier and cleaner. The frizz control is really impressive, my cornrows stay really neat and polished looking without any of those little flyaways popping up along the braid which used to drive me crazy. What I really love is that it dries without any white flaking or residue which is such a common problem with strong hold gels and completely ruins the appearance of braids, this one keeps everything looking clean and fresh. The appearance of my braids after using this is just really neat and defined, they look really professional even when I do them myself at home. The natural formula feels really gentle on my scalp too, no irritation or dryness after use which tells me the ingredients are thoughtfully put together. The hold genuinely lasts all day without needing to reapply. Absolutely love this gel and would not switch to anything else.

This product is TOP NOTCH. First off opening it you can immediately smell the fragrance from it. My daughter kept telling me she loved the smell. The texture is like wax mixed with grease. It's waxy enough to hold in place & greasy enough to still be able to slide & glide right through my fingers making it easier, smoother & faster to braid. I love the clear light orange appearance. It's so moisturizing for the hair & keeps it in place at the same time. The product is so light too. I used it to slay my girls edges too. Washing it out was easy because the product starts to fade within the hours-days. Just A great product over all

As soon as I picked up the jar and tapped it on my wrist to feel the gel, i KNEW this was the one. It smells amazing and is GREAT for helping with parting hair and actually lays my edges. I have super hardheaded edges that usually just won't lay, but this gel is PERFECT. Extreme hold? Hell YEAH IT IS!!!

great braiding gel. i used to use shine n jam but i find this has a better hold. i will say if you use too much gel it leaves a bit of a white cast. it doesn't bother me but be mindful depending on the look you want. be careful with takedowns as well, you definitely want to be more gentle because of how firm the hold is. but i like it overall i would continue to use each time i get my hair braided.

This gel is just great for me. Feels really good on my scalp and I love the smell. Not too greasy and the hold is very good. Gonna take a lot to have me give this up

Best thing about this gel is that it will lay my 4C hair down. I have kunta kinte hair & this lays my hair down when I want to do ponytails. No complaints here.

The hold is strong. However, once you apply the product you have to move fast. A little goes a long way. I’ve used this product to braid and lay edges.

10/10 perfect for braids leaves no white spots and gives a nice touch. Expensive but worth it.

Happy with the quality of the gel, doesn’t flake (use mousse after and blow dry). I made a second purchase but when i bought my first one I accidentally dropped it and I discovered that it’s not true to size. But it’s perfect for braiding hair (I have 4c hair), also great for edges and slicking hair 👍
