This company always makes very affordable, but high quality products. I was looking for a desktop mic stand, so I could put my microphone on it without using a boom arm or a tripod. This way I can have a very simple minimalistic setup by just having my microphone on my desk on this compact yet sturdy stand. I got another stand from another company and I ordered this one at the same time. When both arrived however, I fell in love with this one way more simply because it was much more light weight, and the base of it was very light rubbery and flat, whereas the other one was very heavy and did not have any padding to protect my furniture. Excellent thread quality, great height as well. Overall this is a great desktop mic stand, I would highly recommend this to everybody, especially for the price.

Good sturdy product

I was willing to spend more, but this set of two microphone stands had the black finish, cast iron base and height range I was looking for. The quality is good for $12.50 per stand. The 5" iron bases have some weight to them, and are nicely machined on top. The finish on all the parts is nice and the height adjustment knob seems secure. I bought some 3/8 to 1/4 threaded adapters so I could use these stands to each hold a Raleno LED light. The stands are stable for this purpose as long as I don't tilt the lights more than a little bit. 6" wide bases would have been more versatile - I may affix these stands to a wider wood base in future. The stands would also be more stable if they had more than just 4 foam "feet". Just using 4 feet doesn't take advantage of the stability of a round base in all directions. The main compromises are the width of the base (old school cast iron desktop stands have at least a 6" base and are heavier) and the use of plastic threaded parts, such as the plastic lock nut at the top of each stand, and the plastic threads and plastic thread adapter in the microphone clips. Also, the metal 3/8 to 5/8 thread adapters are aluminum, which is not durable for threaded applications like this. Overall, these will work for what I need them to do. Good for home use, but they are light duty and not suitable for commercial use.

Works with the Razor 3 mini so im happy! Just take the Razor off the stand it comes with and it screws on to this stand. You lose the ability to tilt the Razor but it's worth it for the ability to raise the mic to a good speaking level. Sturdy stand as well; overall, good purchase for me.

Search for a desktop mic stand for my new condenser mic. Price caught my eye and other reviews prompted me to make the purchase. Received it yesterday and was very impressed when I unboxed it. The all-metal construction (excluding pivoting mic holder) screams 'quality' and the base is very heavy so no accidental tipping or sliding. My mic has a threaded mount so the adapter that comes with the mic stand is perfect. I also plan to use it as an adjustable webcam holder. I hate when others are noticeably looking down at there screen (rather that into the camera). I will secure my webcam to the pivoting mic holder, place the stand in front of my screen (centered vertically) to let me look at my PowerPoint/speaker notes while appearing to look into viewers' eyes.

Really nice stand. The bottom looks like cast iron with some machining to refine it. It has a nice heft.

when i put my condenser mic on the stand, it is not quite plush and firmly stable-adequate, workable but not rock solid so i recommend for lighter mics good quality parts and easy to put together
