Quite difficult to use the tube to push the fudge through but only a very small amount is needed to give volume to your hair and hold it in position all day. Does not make your hair sticky or stiff like lacquer.

If it’s within your budget there really aren’t many better options. Great hold.

I used the old version of this product for years and it was excellent. This new version isn't as good but it's not bad and frankly I can't be bothered experimenting with different products. The old version had better hold. It had a hold factor of 9. This new version has a hold factor of 8. The old version was easier to style and felt drier and more pliable in the hand. This styles okay but can feel a little slimey in the hand on application. It does set dry though after a few minutes. I did consider going for the extra hold version. The logic being that like this product, the new version may not be as strong as the old version so it would have a similar hold to the old version of this standard firm hold product. However, Fudge say they haven't changed the formula of the extra hold version. The one and only time I used the extra hold version it set like plastic in my hair. I have thick hair that's difficult to style so usually go for the strongest version of any product. This standard firm hold is strong enough. Just. As others have noted the pump mechanism for getting the product out is terrible. I have to push very hard from the bottom with a screwdriver before the pump works and dispenses the product! The pump mechanism was designed for a light product like a face cream. Not a dense hair paste. BOTTOM LINE: not as good as the old version but good enough. Terrible pump dispenser.

Great product don’t need to use a lot for all day hold . The pump applicator stops like it has finished and you need to just push the slide plate up a little bit and it starts working again so lasts a lot longer. Very happy

Sadly I cannot get any of the product out to use as the pump just does not work. I bought it to take on holiday and didn't want to break the seal until I was going to use it so as it was delivered 27.12.25 it is just too late to return or even contact the seller. I have used this product for about 20 years and never had a problem. Maybe it was just a faulty one who knows?

Nothing better than fudge.

This new formula feels like a cheap knockoff of the old formula of Fudge Matte Hed. It doesn't smell as great (honestly, it smells like rotten carrots!). It also has a slightly weaker hold (8 vs 9). What really set the old formula apart from other products was that it felt light, yet gave a stronger hold (it was honestly like magic!!!). This new formula feels sticky and heavier in the hair. It feels as if a lot of product is in the hair even when I only use a pea-sized blob of the product. This is possibly due to the new addition of kaolin clay, which isn't living up to the hype. This isn't a cynical review - I've been open-minded to the new formula and done all I can to maintain my hairstyle with it. In fact, I will continue to use this new version because I've used the old formula for years and simply don't have the time to experiment with new products. However, I kindly ask Fudge to please please please put the old formula back on the market, as other retailers on Amazon are quite expensive £££££. :(

La cire ne sort pas sans exercer une pression, les fins de tube sont donc bien galères. Les 4 derniers achetés sont encore pire, je l'achète depuis des années, mais là il va falloir trouver un autre produit, dommage car la cire est bien.
