Wieco Art Framed Wall Art Canvas Prints of Wheat Field with Cypresses by Van Gogh Paintings Reproduction Abstract Artwork for Wall Decor Golden Frame

My wife and I are looking for affordable artwork to compliment our new home and settled on buying this enlarged version of Van Gogh's Wheatfield with Cypresses. After building a frame for it that compliments both the headboard of our bed and the the color of the wheatfield in the painting, we think it looks great! Pros: You can't buy the original Wheatfields with Cypresses and most of the painted reproduction artwork I've looked at does a poor job of replicating the artistry of the great masters. I can afford a hand-painted version but printed-on-canvas reproduction was my first choice. Colors and finish on the print are very good for a print and the canvas looks to be of reasonable quality and stretched well. The canvas frame has a midline support between top and bottom to prevent sagging. It's nice to be able to pick sizes other than the original dimensions. Our 36x48 inch print (closer to 35-1/2" x 47-1/2") is a little over a third larger in each direction than Van Gogh's original. (More on that in "Cons," below.) Cons: One thing that's missing from all Giclee canvas prints is the dimensional texture of the original paint, and I do miss it. That said, I'd rather have this Giclee print than the casually painted reproductions I've seen elsewhere. While building the frame to go around this painting I discovered the canvas frame isn't quite square. This isn't immediately noticable to the eye and you wouldn't notice if you hang it without a frame and the variation would be hidden by a traditional frame's edge, but my frame design has a 3/16ths offset from the painting's edge and the slight trapezoidal shape required some slight adjustments to accommodate the painting's right-to-left variance. Finally, we opted for a substantial enlargement of the original painting and, while it's still gorgeous, the artistry suffers a bit in translation. If you want to get your best sense of what the original looks like, you'll probably want to stay as close as possible to the original dimensions of the work.

This is my second time purchase a canvas art piece from this company. Five stars all the way. This print works beautifully in my living room above my couch. The color is vibrant and the canvas stretched well on the frame. It was easy to hang. It was also a great price for the size!

These reproduction has good color quality. It lacks a hand brushed look but for the price I am satisfied. What I was displeased about was the size of the print. While advertised as 12" x 16" it is actually 11 13/16" x 15 13/16". For me this left a slight gap between the print and a 12 x 16 frame.
