What's the voltage of it?

Do not use the AC voltage from the train controller. You will blow them up. I used a 9v DC and upgraded to a 12v DC for more brightNess. I am using an old phone charger 12vDC to power up the cars.

Does any one know the ma draw? i want to use a nce illuminator for power.

I CHECKED THE CARS WITH MY FLUKE METER AND THERE IS 0 OHMS OF RESISTANCE. IF THE CARS ARE GOING TO BE FAIRLY CLOSE TOGETHER,(YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD WIRE FOR MORE DISTANCE) TIE ALL THE POSITIVE'S TOGETHER AND DO THE SAME WITH THE NEGATIVE'S. FOR SOME REASON ALL THE CARS THAT I HAVE THE BLACK WIRE IS +AND THE YELLOW IS -. 9VDC WORKS PRETTY GOOD. IF YOU HAVE A 100-300 MA 9-12VDC TRANSFORMER THEY SHOULD LOOK PRETTY COOL, JUST DON'T GO OVER 12VDC, TRY TO STAY SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 9-11.... HOPE THIS HELPS, ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK.... CHEIS

I am not a scale expert but ho scale is 1:87 and these say they are 1:100. do they look too small and out of place next to ho scale people/buildings?
