Mechanical Animals

Say No More .

Like another reviewer said, this is odd music but good. Its worth getting if you've not heard it before :)

although his recent stuff is terrible, this album will always stand out as an interesting moment in the history of alternative music, when stuff could sound however the artist wanted compared to what we have now which is what the fan expects... any how... great album, you should all get it, listen to it for a day then put it away so you dont loose it and have to buy it again......

double vinyl !!

America circa 1998, look out. Marilyn Manson is going to hold up a mirror for you. In hindsight - and in an age of glorified pop transgression - Marilyn Manson's traditionally integrated sense of rock-star irony produces a progressive cautionary tale about the foibles of a civilization. In 'Mechanical Animals', the middle installation of Manson's triptych concept albums, Manson re-animates the idealistic trajectory of glam rock and the menacing specters of cynicism in a concept exercise in irony that massively contrasts the celebratory decadence that typifies today's mainstream music industry and the artists that draw indirect influences from Marilyn Manson's 'Mechanical Animals' era (with Manson's use of literary devices in lyrical content experiencing little appropriation). Musically, 'Mechanical Animals' is a fine-tuned rock album with high production value, engineered with a degree of accessibility in mind beyond the underground industrial music scene from which Marilyn Manson emerged.

One of the only original artist alive today and now I have Mechanical animals, Portrait of an American family, The golden age of grotesque and of course, Smells like children. It's an incredible thing to find these albums in India and that also in vinyl format. I'm happy, love it, and if you're a manson fan you need to buy these and support this mofo, cheers.

Other than a skip on the track Rock is Dead (which I will try to resolve), the vinyl I received didn't disappoint. Before receiving the LP I did not know the tracks were arranged in a entirely different order in comparison to the CD. An entire new layout of tracks was cool to hear, as originally intended to be heard (Manson & Omega). This is my favourite Manson album and I was happy to snag it on vinyl at a decent price.

Warum???
