I have owned two of these (in two different homes). This is a great water filter. It filters out the taste of chlorine perfectly, so my ice tastes like nothing to go along with my filtered water.In my last house, the filter had lasted at least 18 months and although I live alone, I use a lot of ice.The kit includes all the plumbing parts you need to hook it up to a standard ice maker. I did have to provide 2 drywall anchors and 2 screws of my own, but not big deal. One of the braided steel hoses is about 7' long so it is enough to pull your unit well away from the wall when needed.Installation instructions are a little sparse, but adequate and the install is straight forward. If you have ever done any basic household pluming like a kitchen faucet, lavatory faucet, etc. you shouldn't have any problems figuring it out.I've bought 2 and I'd but another in the future.

I ordered this primarily for the kit so I could install an inline filter. The filter system stopped working inside my refrigerator so I bought this kit so I could still filter the water and ice coming out of my refrigerator without having to replace my fridge. I found the kit to be outstanding and easy to setup. However, the filter the kit comes with this kit is small / subpar and I quickly replaced it. I ended up replacing the filter with the "EcoPure EPINL30 5 Year in-Line Refrigerator Filter" and the water and ice coming out of my fridge tastes great now. I would highly recommend this kit but I would also recommend that you buy a better filter to go along with it.

Tired of buying bottled water, I decided to try an inline filter for my refrigerator water dispenser which I had not been using.Easy install using a couple of flat wrenches leftover from Ikea kits. All of the parts needed for most installs are included along with some Teflon tape for secure joints.I followed the instructions on the filter and allowed several minutes of water to run through it into a bucket before attaching the final fitting to the refrigerator I then allowed about a gallon of water run through the refrigerator water dispenser before tasting it. The filer uses activated charcoal which is excellent for removing contaminants and odor. I tried the finished products against store-bought brands Dasani and Nestle's Pure Life and couldn't tell the difference. Most commercial bottled water is merely filtered water.All in all a great kit for the price. Replacing the filter from time to time will still save you a lot of money over store-bought water and you will be doing the environment a big favor

We bought this to bypass the very expensive in the fridge filter system. Somehow the old filter itself was not clogged but the plumbing to it was. The 2' and 7' combo was just long enough to slide our fridge out to get at the back. I thought it would be plenty so measure yours carefully. After reading some reviews I soaked the braided lines in a no-rinse sanitizer I use for home brewing. After connecting everything and checking for leaks we ran a lot of glasses of water through the door dispenser, not the gallons I read about. The water and ice cubes taste fine. About the instructions. If you are comfortable with doing plumbing, this is not a difficult project. If not the instructions that came with our filter kit were for a saddle valve so not of much use.

I bought two thinking two would be needed to hold filter parallel. Only needed one so I have a spare just in case. Works and hold the filter in place. Just be sure your filter is the correct diameter for it.

Holds in-line filter, but a little loose. I had to use a zip tide to hold filter to it, so it will not pop out if fridge moved.

The filter and lines seem to be high quality However I received the wrong packaging and direction with it. It does give directions on the filter but the written directions were for a different set definitely could confuse people.Also there's a choice to buy accessory clips for attaching to a cabinet but product already includes them so there's no need to purchase more. This fact should be stated in the description otherwise most people would probably purchase the accessory.
