Ok I purchase this because I do a lot of wires for my DJ equipment, mic cables, speaker wires, powerCon plugs, ect.... So I always have to ask my friends to help me hold the plug or wires. It works for me for what I do. Its simple to adjust and I notice that a lot of reviews say the screws don't tie up enough. And the clips will slide down or wont stay in place or the strip. Well people forget this is a $20 product and it is for small jobs. If you planning to do any big job that the pieces weight more than a pound, this might not work for you. The pieces I'm always working with are no more than half a pound so like I said it works for me. It uses 3 AA batteries for the light and the light is very decent, The magnifying glass is not of high qualitybut it does what it supose to do and if you working with small pieces it's a plus..!! Besides that it's worth the money, at least for me..!!

I am giving this 4 stars only because it is not weighted down enough. The picture shows it standing up by itself when all the pieces are in ready to use mode but it does not stand on it's own when I duplicate the picture exactly, it is too top heavy. Moving the items off to the side it stands up well and I am able to use it. If I had the soldering iron in the metal holder it would stand onit's own, but if you do not, it will not. But, otherwise it is an awesome contraption and is working well for my miniature work. The light is good, the magnifier's good, and it is a good piece for the price. I will be figuring out something to weight the base so I can use it in the front forward position like it shows in the picture. Shipped quick, packaged well, and overall I am glad I bought it.

Clamps for little items coupled with all the magnifying glasses you should ever need!I'm getting old and my eyesight is not what it used to be; this item really helps. The fact that the (various) magnifying glasses are on their own arms and, once focused, leave your hands free is just great. It also has two alligator-clamps that can hold whatever small pieces you may be looking at or working on.There is, however, a downside. The problem has nothing to do with the product, but more to do with the way Amazon packages it for shipping. It was shipped to me in one of those Amazon brown-bubble-bags instead of a box. No damage to the product itself; but, the box it comes in was dented and damaged and can not be used for storage.Just a quick follow-up. The quality and usefulness of this product continues to amaze me. For such a simple looking device it has many features that don't get listed; or maybe I didn't read them as well as I should have. For example, it has an adjustable light. The light can be powered with batteries in the base or through an adapter--which is included.I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

This product was exactly what I needed! Very easy to add things to it or remove Parts off of it very quickly depending on what you're trying to accomplish. For example you could just use the light, you can pull the magnifying glasses off, you can add a second set of Helping Hands if you have some (I tried and mine fit, which was awesome! So if I have some convoluted thing or I need for alligator Clips, I can make it happen with this! Very good deal for the price and the primary magnifying glass is nice and big and give you a wonderful field of view, plus the fact that has the additional magnifying glasses for compound magnification that is easily flipped out of or into your field of view is great. Also, because of how it is constructed it gives you tons of adaptability!

Features work well individually, but the area below the magnifying glass becomes cramped pretty quick. Light works well, but is a bit awkward when positioning to light work area. Quality is as expected; decent hard parts with a lot of plastic. Good for small projects (2X2 inch). Additional magnifiers increase difficulty of use and reduce work area.

Love the product. Perfect size to sit on my workbench. Very useful when tinkering in my workshop.

This may be a great product for using to work on circuit boards or what not. I wanted to use this to make jewerly using a light and under magnifier the light for a second or so. Too cramped to work under this light. It did say for Jewerly. I can look at connectors to make sure they are on correctly. Can also find to fix and periodically look at pieces under light with magnifier. Easier to use a bigger light that attaches to a table for Jewerly designing and creating. I can still find problems with pieces under magnifier. When I tighten the parts they come loose and fall down. A little hard to work with when using for jewelry . Seems like a great product except for how small it is to look under magnifier to create. Too cramped to constantly use
