Very helpful guide for planning a trip.
I have found this guide book very useful for planning a trip to Cape Cod and Nantucket. It also covers Martha's Vineyard, but I did not use that section. You can find most of this information on the web, but here it is in one, easily accessible place. I found the description of things to do in various locations extremely helpful. I was looking for things to do for children as well as for adults. Found some great suggestions which I then planned our trip around.

By far the best book on Cape Cod that I've found so far
By far the best book on Cape Cod that I've found so far. The author lists good and bad, and gives honest reviews about both. We are visiting in the off season, and this book actually has a symbol next to the different activities, restaurants, etc that are known to operate in the off season.

Good more for maps and itineraries, use Trip Advisor to supplement especially restaurant info.
Not bad but rather expensive. However I may not have gone to Falmouth had I relied on the limited reviews of restaurants. Glad I double checked on Trip Advisor to find there are more, better restaurants available.

i did a lot of research to find a good travel guide for Cape Cod -- one which would provide some history and background, and give recommendations for accommodations and restaurants. This one was the best I found.

Check other resources
Read the book, looked forward to seeing some of the sites recommended in it, but found extremely limited hours of operation in last 2 weeks of September. Make sure u intend to check hours of operation for all of your destinations as several are only available on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 on certain weekends. Informative reading, but valuable information on times of operation not in this book.

If you are vacationing in Cape Cod, buy this book
This book became our go-to resource for a recent trip to Cape Cod with my wife. Packed with good information and tips on places to go, places to eat, accommodations and things to do.The photos could be updated - it costs no more to print in full color if its an ebook. I bought the kindle download from my hotel room in Plymouth to make the most of my stay. The B&W shots do have a charm though, and there is a free companion app by the same author/photographer that is chock full of great color Cape Cod shots. This is the defacto tour guide for Cape Cod, updated to 2014. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the lack of color photos and the fact that using bookmarks on the kindle ipad app is horrible. However, that is an app issue and not a problem with the ebook itself. Great job Kim! It was invaluable & helped us make the most of the 5 days we had there.

A must if you are heading to Cape Cod!
Helpful and informative, opinions but not forceful, allowing you to choose your holiday destinations. What a location this is, too, we will definitely be visiting again as there is more to do, and also Martha's Vineyard must be one of the most delightful places in the world, where the pace of life slows and contentment seeps under your skin.
