I'm going to say this right at the start - if you are looking for a vent hood that can vent through the wall (horizontally), this one CAN! They aren't that easy to find so if that's what you need, I'll save you the hassle of worrying about that. The manufacturer was responsive but I got conflicting answers from them. When I downloaded the installation manual to make sure, it clearly shows it supports horizontal/wall venting as well as top venting. MANY do not. Now on to the good part: The hood is really beautiful and is well constructed. The SS does not feel cheap or flimsy at all. It seemed easy to install. I didn't hover but my contractors (2 people) did it in less than 2 hours. They were having fun with the hands-free thing at the end. The fan sound on the highest level is pretty quiet (IMHO). The hands-free thing takes a little experimentation to get the hang of (how to place your wave so it "sees" it), but it's a nice feature for when your hands are full of schmutz and you need a fan. Also nice to have a remote but probably not as useful as the hands-free option. The LED lights are very bright. I will likely only use them when I am cooking as they are cool in tone and the rest of my lighting is warm but they definitely work great! This hood looks much more expensive than the price tag belies. I returned a $2400 Faber range hood that I waited MONTHS for, which then arrived damaged. I decided to pivot because the replacement was another 2 months out. I bought this one instead (finding one that supported rear venting was the issue). I'm so glad I did - for a fraction of the price it's just as lovely. This was VERY well packaged and arrived in 2 days in perfect condition. It makes my new kitchen remodel finally complete! Color me impressed and happy with this purchase.

Great product. Out of the box, installation was not difficult but that is also because I replaced an existing vent. Even if it was on a new wall, I don’t think installation would be an issue for someone who is a bit handy with tools. Removing the protective film was a job for sure. After installing, this works great. It has been about 4 weeks and the fan is quiet, and the flow of air is great. It moves a lot of air at lowest speed and we have mostly used it on 1 or 2 speed while doing a lot of Indian cooking. The hood is large and looks nice and sturdy. The bad - the motion sensor worked for first 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter what I do now, it does not work. The buttons to turn on the light and fan are all touch buttons. You must look at the button and press the right place, and sometime I have to find the right place to press the button. They really should replace it with something else. Other issue is how it changes the speed. You must go linear from speed 1 to 2 to 3 and 4, and then off. So from speed 1 to turn off, you must press the button 4 times. You can hit the power button as well, but that mean next time you need to power on before use it. It’s just bad interface. The best part is how much airflow it handles at a low noise. The filters are high quality and I can put them in dishwasher. I think it is great value for money.

Works like a dream. I make a lot of stir fry dishes and this rangehood is so much better than others. It's not as loud as some brands, but the suction power definitely proves to be worth more than what I paid for. The ease of using the touchless controls makes clean up easy. The lighting is good, and it's very sleek overall. Works well within my kitchen and our everyday needs. I would definitely recommend this to those who do serious cooking at home.

We couldn’t be happier with the IKTCH 36-inch Wall Mount Range Hood (900 CFM), and wow—what a difference it makes. The suction is incredibly strong; it clears smoke and smells way faster than my old hood. We cook a lot, and even when I’m frying or grilling indoors, the air stays clean. What really surprised me is how quiet it is. Even on the higher settings, We can still chat with family in the kitchen without feeling like I’m yelling over a machine. I am remodeling my kitchen with one thing in mind; I want to sear a steak and cook on extremely high heat without triggering smoke alarms. I will describe the following: 1) What it is, and what it isn't, 2) Does it accomplish my goal, 3) does it work and would I recommend. 1) What it is, and what it isn't Straight off the bat, this is NOT 900 CFM. Absolutely no way. I'm unsure if I got sent their other unit which is 390 CFM. That would actually make sense to me. I used to grow plants indoors, using 1000 watt bulbs that needed the resulting heat vented via inline fans and ducting. For those of you that know like I do, a 720 CFM inline fan is extremely powerful. You can have a cigarette in front of it and the smoke will instantly get sucked into the fan, with zero lingering smoke. It is quick and loud. As you can see from the video, it does work quite nicely. Does a pretty decent job, actually. But there is no way this is 720CFM, let alone the advertised 900 CFM. The smoke should be getting sucked in way faster than this. A 720CFM inline fan would suck so much air you wouldn't see this much smoke in the first place. As you can see in my uploaded video, there is too much smoke build up for this fan to be 900 CFM. It gets most of the smoke, but there are times where the fan gets overloaded and some of the smoke begins to billow outside of the range because the fan simply cannot keep up. It works but is NOT 900 CFM. I don't know whether I received the 390CFM unit by mistake, or if this is false advertising. I make no accusement. Only the statement that this is NOT 900 CFM. So buyer beware on that front. The video shows the performance you will get. What it is: It does function and will remove a decent amount of smoke. I cooked 2 packages of bacon on all burners; it handled steaks well and stir fry. You can, however, see it struggle with smash burgers. You will have to be mindful of how much fat you are rendering at a time underneath this hood if you purchase it. The design and look overall is gorgeous. It looks just like a restaurant hood and looks extremely professional and fashionable. My kitchen looks like crap because I'm renovating, yet the hood makes things look much less disastrous. Installing it was a simple enough process. It has everything you need. The included instructions are worthless. However, the seller has a 1 minute video uploaded with photos of the item that shows you how to easily install this. The included remote is also a heck of a convenience. Can go straight to high heat with it. The design overall is incredibly sleek, and the LED lights underneath it provide much brighter light than I expected. Very pleased with the lights for sure. 2) Does it accomplish my goal? Not quite. It performs pretty damn good, but it does not accomplish my goal in a manner that satisfies me. I expected much better suction and removal of smoke from a 900 CFM fan. This is not it. 3) Does it work and would I recommend? It does work, but I would NOT recommend if you are looking for a 900 CFM fan. There are 400 CFM fans for $200 or less on here. I would have purchased one of those instead if I wanted 400 CFM, but I wanted 900 CFM. If you want 900 CFMs, this fan is not it. If you want 400 CFM, there are much more options out there that provide a better value for your money than this product does. Overall, 3/5 stars. It functions and looks awesome. But it is not what I thought it was and I regret my purchase. I'm kind of stuck with it now. To return it, I would have to uninstall it, find a box large enough to fit it, wait for my money back, get another unit for 50% of the cost, re-install it, and hope that it is the advertised CFM unlike this product. Quite a bit of hassle just to save $200 for me, not to mention I'd be without a hood in my kitchen for 4+ weeks. Don't be me. Look elsewhere.

Installation on this was overall fairly easy. I think the trickiest part was getting the two U shaped sleves not to scratch each other while you push them up where you need them to measure where exactly things will go prior to final installation. Upon initially unboxing the instructions said to test the functionality, so I did that, however testing the motion sensing didn't "A" sound like something I needed to test, and "B" didn't describe how to really get it to work very easily so since everything else worked fine, whisper quiet, we proceeded with the install. Once installed, the motion was infact not working :(. Reaching out to amazon they did offer to do a refund on it even though it was a few days past the refund window. However I asked if the company instead could fix it as we really wanted to keep the unit. The only thing this unit could do better than its advertised to do is turn on automatically when it detects a specific level of heat below [we all can dream]. Upon discussing the issues with the company we did have to provide a great deal of details to identify if this unit was part of a bad batch of units with regards to motion. Upon completing that, they very quickly like almost over night sent a replacement sensor bar, and it was not too hard to swap out. We are so happy with the look, ease of use, and its overal functionality with regards to getting cooking smoke/steam up and out quickly and quietly. It does fit 9' ceilings with a very gracious amount of space between the cook surface and the unit excellent for GAS ranges. Very easy to clean so far.

This is a very stylish but more importantly a functional necessity of our newly renovated kitchen. We also chose this model because it has the 900 CFM airflow capacity which we learned after researching is required to remove strong cooking odors. It was helpful that the chimney comes in two pieces so there is some flexibility to adapt to a given kitchen. I also really appreciated the responsiveness of the vendor so I could consult whether it would fit in my kitchen before purchasing the item. A useful feature of this range hood is the ability to change between the 4 speeds just by waving your hand across the panel so you don't have to touch the fan in case your hands are not clean while cooking. You just have to handle with some care so as to not scratch the stainless steel.

Love the look, the size and the touchless feature is our fav !! You can also dim the hood lights which is uncommon ! The only thing is that it is a little on the noisy side and the 1st speed isn’t effective as much. Maybe i installed it wrong ?

I personally love this product. One of my favorite features is the touchless control, you can simply wave your hand to turn it on, which is incredibly convenient. It also comes with a remote control, so you don’t have to touch the unit and leave fingerprints. Overall, it’s very user-friendly and well-designed.
