Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

I think home alone 2 is better than the first it is the same senareo that kevin is on his own only this time the family are going on holiday and a neighbour same age and height as Kevin is included in the head count when in fact Kevin is in the attic; no he is'nt left home alone but at the airport he follows a man who has similar clothing and hair colouring as his father so he thinks he's right in following what he thinks is his father which is where the mix up comes about he gets on the airplane to New York. Once their he soon realizes that he has lost his family yet again and as he still has his dads luggage he soon finds his credit card and using a toy recorder he is able to fake that he is Mr Mccallister and books in at a high class hotel where he is soon ordering whatever food he fancies. Meanwhile his family are trying their best to get home for Christmas to see Kevin when a check on the credit card reveals that it has been used in New York then the family do everything they can to get to New York. The Wet Bandits have escaped from jail and Kevin literally bumps into them of course they want to seek revenge on him for his earlier antics in home alone 1. They confess to Kevin they intend to rob the toy store. Kevin then decides he will stop them and again sets traps and stunts take place. Eventually the two bandits are safely behind bars and Kevin is reunited with his mother then the rest of the family. Brilliant family film..... well worth buying

Great family festival viewing. Almost as good as the first - unusual in a sequel save the spaghetti westerns. A nice cameo by Brenda Trucker.

Love this film

One of the finest sequels ever made! Exceptionally enjoyable and emotionally entertaining. It actually improves on the first film with enough energy to power an entire franchise of similar films. As irritating as Macaulay Culkin may be, and here he us insufferably so, he's the main attraction of this powerhouse sequel. Also insanely watchable are Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, who between them have more chemistry than any rom com couples in recent memory, who return as the gloriously inept thieves, 'The Wet Bandits', or, as Marv incompetently re nick names them 'The Sticky Bandits' much to Harry's chagrin. As the long suffering parents John Heard and Catherine O'Hara have never been better and they themselves enjoy a chemistry of admirable proportions. The real draw here is guest stars Brenda (from Casualty) Fricker as Pigeon Lady and a hilarious Tim Curry as a hotel maître D'. These two alone make and elevate the film to heights if staggering entertainment. Plus as a comedy it actually, genuinely made me laugh, and even more rarely it made me well up to boot.

My favourite Xmas movie.. I've watched it many of times since I bought it. Excellent condition, new, quick delivery, in wrapping.

Compre la Edicion Italiana en Blu Ray , comentar que nada mas poner el blu ray aparece el menu, en castellano , aparte de eso tiene los siguientes idiomas "Castellano 5.1 DTS" "Español" "Italiano 5.1 DTS" "Aleman 5.1 DTS" "Portugues" "Frances 5.1 DTS" "Ingles 5.1 DTS -HD" La calidad de imagen de la pelicula y el sonido son excelentes. Si quereis comprar la edicion italiana sin problemas , viene en perfecto castellano

Die Kevin-Filme sind auch heute noch super sehenswert und können sich auf jeden Fall mit aktuell Produzierten Filmen/Komödien messen. Die Filme gehören für mich zu denen, die auch nach dem 12. mal anschauen nicht langweilig werden und man noch über die lustigen Stellen lachen kann. Zu der Story: Seit Kevin zu Hause vergessen wurde ist ein Jahr vergangen. Es ist wieder Weihnachtszeit und wieder steht eine Reise für die McCallisters an - diesmal nach Florida. Diesmal wird Kevin jedoch nicht vergessen, sondern landet durch eine Verwechselung im falschen Flugzeug. Während seine restliche Familie sich auf nach Florida macht, fliegt Kevin geradewegs nach NYC. Zufällig hat Kevin die Tasche seines Vaters dabei, in der er am Flughafen in Chicago noch etwas gesucht hat. In der Tasche befinden sich reichlich Bargeld, sowie Kreditkarten, sodass Kevin es sich erstmal richtig gut gehen lässt. Mit der Kreditkarte seines Vaters checkt er im Plasa-Hotel ein - einem der teuersten Hotels in NYC - und bezieht kurzerhand eine Suite. Er schaut sich die Stadt ausführlich an und genießt seine "Freiheit", ohne Eltern oder Geschwister bis er zufällig auf die beiden Ganoven stößt, die ein Jahr zuvor das Haus der McCallisters leer räumen wollten. Da sie deswegen im Knast landeten - aus dem sie nun ausgebrochen sind - sind die beiden gar nicht gut auf Kevin zu sprechen und wollen ihn entführen. Kevin gelingt es jedoch, sich ins Haus von Verwandten zu flüchten. Dort fasst er den Entschluss es erneut mit den Gangstern aufzunehmen und verwandelt das Haus - wie schon im Jahr zuvor das seiner Eltern - in eine Festung mit Fallen ohne Ende. Der zweite Teil steht dem ersten in nichts nach. Beide sind absolut top und man kann sie sich jedes Jahr wieder zur Weihnachtszeit (oder auch einfach mal so zwischendurch) ansehen. Ich persönlich habe mir die beiden Filme noch zu Videokassetten-Zeiten (Teil 1 wurde 1990 gedreht, Teil 2 1992) immer und immer wieder ansehen können, ohne dass es langweilig wurde, oder einem der Spaß vergeht. Das ist auch heute noch so, mit dem kleinen Unterschied, dass man jetzt keine Videokassette mehr einlegt, sondern die DVD. Der Film ist ein super Spaß für die ganze Familie. Auch Eltern werden ihn mögen. An vielen Stellen kriegt man sich vor lachen kaum noch ein. Dies ist wirklich eine gute alte Komödien die es noch versteht, die Leute zu unterhalten und zum Lachen zu bringen, nicht wie manche Filme heute, die sich zwar "Komödien" nennen, einem jedoch höchstens ein leises Lächeln entlocken. Glasklare Kaufempfehlung!

Was worried this would be the edited one but was very pleased to see it is the original release, unaltered. This 25th Anniversary Edition was great and my family really enjoyed watching it over the holidays.
