What a wonderful item this is. I buy estate jewelry and yard sale jewelry and this portable machine makes it a lot easier for me to find the hidden treasures. I also use it in my shop. It adds a great photo op when you take a picture of the reading of the piece. It adds to the confidence of the buyer to know the piece was tested for authenticity. To me it paid for itself the first time I find a treasure! Great investment.

I have taken some time to give this item a proper testing and usage to come to a far assessment. After roughly 6 1/2 months I can tell you this product has to be the biggest mistake of a purchase I have ever made. The thousands it has cost me is ridiculous. I have tested real gold coin along with Jewlery and it comes up with “not gold” on real gold items. I am not one to ever write reviews or complain, typically just chalk up items I buy as a loss, but I couldn’t just walk away and say nothing about this particular product. I would stay very clear of this pile of garbage. That’s where it’s going is straight into the garbage can so no one else would ever use it. It’s the second one we tested thinking the first one was just bad and couldn’t get a replacement sent. So we took it upon ourselves to buy another to see if it’s really this bad. Yes, you guessed it, it’s terrible. So take my review for what it’s worth, but buyer beware, it’s HORRIBLE. If you have one already, find another manufacturer as your probably going through the same things we were, wrong readings, one time it says gold, then again not gold, the platinum, all on the same piece. Absolute junk this product is.

This works great when you follow the instructions

The product is good, but users must understand that it is testing the surface of the article. So, it is very important to pile the surface in order to make sure you are testing the bulk. I did test a brass coated with 24K gold and before piling the surface it showed 24K. Another point. make sure to calibrate the Gemooro AuRACLE before testing.

This is definitely an expensive item, but for collectors and investors, it’s a great opportunity to test materials and build a virtual gold bank right from home. The GRO Gold Tester is accurate and functional, making a real difference when it comes to assessing value. I can personally attest that the machine works as expected, and its functionality sets it apart. While the price is high, the reliability and precision make it a worthwhile investment. Over time, it can create opportunities for better financial planning and smarter buying decisions. My only downside is that availability can sometimes be limited, and there’s a bit of a learning curve when using it. However, if you're serious about testing precious metals, this is a solid choice.

This is a used product with a 10% refund - which aligns with a refurbished product, which is what I expected. But it was not only used, but misused. Whoever used it, scratched the surface (as you do with the chemical testing method). A product at this condition should grant a 50% cost reduction.

Straight out of the box, I calibrated the pen, and tested on enhanced mode, and as advertised, precise reading! I love this machine. Great value, great Tool. I hope to get many years of use! Thanks to the company for making such a valuable tool.

This Product does not function correctly. reads wrong carat gold. i sent it back to the manufacture for sevice they said they checked it out and all was working properly sent it back and it still does not work right i asked for refund they said i needed to get refund from amazon. i tell anyone not to buy this machine.

From 1 Business owner to another. Bought this for my Cash for Gold, overall a great purchase! Saved me so much money by determining what gold I’m buying. Couldn’t imagine doing my job without a second gold test. Sometimes we make mistakes with the testing acids but having a dual-confirmation method really helps save TONS of money. Wish I had bought it sooner. Don’t worry about the price tag it’s worth it. Just use a piece of 18k to calibrate it every now and then.

Adquir este equipo ya que tengo 15 años dedicándome a la compra de oro pero necesitaba algo para que se dañara las prendas cuando la recibía, por más que fuera cuidadosa el ácido siempre las manchaba y este equipo es ideal para no lastimar la joyeria. Obviamente no sustituye en total el ácido para piezas más gruesas o que tenga duda.

Doesn't test properly, test as 10 Karat, test same item again it tests at 14 Karat, not worth the money at all.

Me sirvió para lo que yo necesitaba, solo en mi opinión eso de tener que lijar un poco las piezas no me convence,ya que me llegan piezas muy bonitas que puedo vender,todo lo demás muy bien.
